Got a great haircut on a last second walk in, right before I was leaving town and I was surprised but how accommodating the owner was.

I will never go back here again, they charged me 40$ for a simple hair cut and face shave, and left me with a razor cut in my face.

I’ve been going to Joe’s since I moved to Calgary, I’ve tried other places first. But they don’t compare, I get a fresh fade and beard shave every Friday for the past year. Will not go anywhere else!

After checking a lot of places in Calgary, by far this is the best place to get your cut and with really good price that I didn’t find in the city!

The worst customer service ever. Not the main owner but his brother or colleague. Very rude, doesn’t listen to directions. Showed him a picture of how I wanted my beard and he shaved my face. After I asked him, where is my beard?
He said it’s blended!
Charged me $50 for a beard trim!
Loser tried using his English isn’t good excuse but I’ve been going to his brother/colleague for months and that is not true.
$50 for a beard trim. Said that 30 mins of his time!
This guy is the worst and I will make sure everyone knows.

Hit and miss so far. First time was excellent, exactly what I wanted and attention to detail was paid. Second time had to ask for a correction upon completion and even after finishing again it is still not what I was looking for. Much sloppier and a lesser experience overall than what I experienced before.

I was in to have my usual straight shave and haircut today and once again, the quality and the service were sublime!
Unfourtunately, this location had received awful reviews in the past, when it was under the care of the previous owner. Let me assure you, this is not the case anymore! You will receive nothing but the most attentive service and a quality of service unmatched in the city!
The new owner of this establisment is a Master of his craft and it shows in the quality of his work, and in how he treats his customers. Not only is he exceptional at what he does, but he does it with love and respect for his craft. He is as much an artist with a pair of scissors, clippers and straight razor, as Renoir or Picasso were with brushes, canvas and paint!
His haircuts are always perfect and I swear the man could shave a balloon! And he always has my best look in mind. From the hot towel treatment, to the light dusting of powder to prevent chafing, every detail is paramount. And whether he's wrangling a rougue eyebrow, tending to a few "spider legs" creeping out of a nostril, or managing that nasty, unwanted ear hair, the way I look when I leave his shop is as important to him, as it is to me.
Rarely these days, do you find a small shop owner who has his customer's satisfaction in the forefront and it is a very welcome treat every time I go in to this shop!
He ensures that I leave his shop happy and looking my best every single time.
I can't recommend the Bankview Barbershop highly enough! Unfortunately there are only 5 stars available for this review, because he is certainly deserving of 10+!
