Had a great experience with the purchase of a patio set and a new (!) Yoder smoker.
Jeff and Seranda were great to deal with and I really believe they had my satisfaction as their goal.
The pick-up was flawless as well. Thanks to Dennis and David for all the help.

Purchased a Broil King bbq thanks to all of the information provided by Pam. Great end to end service - I learned what was involved in replacing a wood fireplace with a gas insert from their website; the quote was accurate, details were provided, installation was timely. The installation specialists were highly skilled and armed me with knowledge of what to expect and how to operate my new Valor Retrofire Direct Vent Fireplace Insert. What a difference this gas fireplace made to my living room - now that the temps have dropped to -25 I really enjoy the heat - both manual and auto options from the remote. Could not be happier with this awesome upgrade to my bungalow, and could not be happier with the service of Barbecues Galore.

Very poor service and return policy. I bought a gas hose extension. The expert at the store told me I needed a 1/2” hose. I bought the hose. Taking it home to BC. There I found the hose was 3/8”. Brought the hose back to exchange, I was told they could not exchange because the was sealant on one of the threads. No offer of help or a way to resolve the problem.

Parts and advice is top notch. Super busy on the weekend so I didn’t even encounter a salesperson. Would have talked to them about a Traeger but was in a rush so had to go.
The price is the price in my experience. No negotiation. Better deals may be had elsewhere but the expertise is nice.

I recently purchased a big green egg grill from BBQs Galore, every staff member I spoke with was very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to answer all my questions and even gave me lots of tips for getting started. I would highly recommend visiting for your next BBQ purchase!

Stopped in to speak with an expert concerning some issues I was having with my smoker (that I purchased elsewhere) and narrowed down a solution and purchased some accessories. Nothing like the big box stores. Not only are they specialists in their field but helpful and friendly. Selection and prices are good too.

Disclaimer: This is a biased review ONLY based on the barbecue food truck that was outside the store giving free samples. Our family was parked outside after just having a transaction of $1700 for a grill, they were offering free samples to everyone but we were the only non- white people but they did not offer. Racism comes in all subtle forms and we know it when it happens. I cancelled my transaction and will NOT be going to the food truck or this location again.

My husband and I had the best experience here. Josh was able to help us find the perfect kettle smoker for our family. He was very knowledgeable about the different types of smokers/bbq's as well as the rubs/spices etc.thanks to Josh we will definitely be return customers:)

I was impressed with the professional assembly, delivery and connection to the natural gas line of my new barbecue provided by the Barbecues Galore team.
Two pleasant men arrived on time after two phone calls to alert me and, after about 20 minutes, the job was done and the barbecue working perfectly.

They show up we paid to have old bbq removed because they were late they said they didn't have time or resources to take it
Well never offered we can come back nothing
Canceled our order but so disappointed so excited to have a new bbq to nothing

Barbecues Galore? More like SERVICE Galore! My husband and I can't say enough about this place. Jennifer went through every BBQ and brand with us. She was super knowledgeable and unbiased. She knew every grill, every function and why it did what it did. We were very pleased with how she treated us. We purchased the Napoleon Pro500 and paid the $30 assembly fee (well worth it). Joe loaded up our BBQ with us and gave us loads of helpful info on everything from the best way to strap it in the truck to setting up when we got home. Thanks Barbecue Galore!

I have referred many people to Barbecues Galore. Mostly for the Nepolean grill and Core fire bowls I am a big fan of. The grill has interior lighting. I've had to replace a couple bulbs. Not difficult, typical very small bulb.
Went to the store in the south to buy a couple more bulbs. They didn't have any but would order them. Might come in by next summer, $60 for two. Just got a call they needed to charge me $38 freight. Obviously I cancelled the order. When I gave feedback about the experience I got a TFB attitude back. I'm done. Don't expect to be taken care of if you need a service part for your grill.

Huge selection of mid & high end bbq's. They have ALL the connectors/hoses and other pieces you might need. The best part: they had the bbq I wanted in stock so I could take it home right away.

My Weber Q started underperforming and after troubleshooting I deduced I needed a new regulator. However, rather than simply sell me a new regulator, the person who assisted me this morning took the time to understand my specific use and instead recommended an alternate and more cost effective method for fixing the problem. My little grill is back in service. Very impressed with the customer service, particularly the focus on a result rather than a quick sale.

The person I spoke with today (Cole, I believe), was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible, readily answering questions and taking the time to make sure my purchase would best fit our needs and budget. Big thanks to Cole at BBQ Galore's south Calgary location who made Christmas dreams come true! My husband and I live out of province and wanted to give our son and his family a bbq as a gift. The one we wanted was not in stock and looked like it might not be available until February. At Cole's suggestion we purchased a bbq cover and arranged to have it delivered as a "bbq to follow" type gift, but a week before Christmas Cole called to tell us they had the bbq in stock. The bbq in all it's shiny stainless steel glory was delivered yesterday, and my son was thrilled with it and the top notch delivery service provided by BBQ Galore. In his words, "it's beautiful, so amazing, they hooked it up and cleared the other even! Incredible! " Thank you Cole for all your help, and Happy Holidays to you and the rest of the staff at BBQ Galore's south Calgary store.

I love this store. Just bought my third BBQ, a Japanese hibachi- ceramic, about $85. Use hardwood charcoal. Best chicken skewers you'll ever have.
Other BBQ's from BBQ-G are Oklahoma Smoker (uses charcoal/wood, no electrical/pellets), and Napoleon natural gas fired.

You buy a bbq here to get the best service and info from some passionate staff. While shopping for a high end smoker, I met a staff member who smokes semi professionally and competes on the road. Literally could not have had anyone better help me pick out my smoker (yoder ys670). Also great to know we are supporting local!

I called the south store ahead of time to confirm that they had the replacement parts I needed for my BBQ. When I got to the store they only had some of the parts and told me to call ahead next time. When I asked if they could order the parts for me, they said no.

We had the pleasure of buying a Napolean Pro-500 BBQ last week with the help of assistant store manager Susan Hayward. What a great experience! Susan was super helpful, knowledgeable and very patient with us as we made our selection. Susan also took care of registering our purchase for warranty on the spot. We had our purchase assembled and delivered the very next morning. The delivery folks were just as helpful, spending some time with us to explain set up and features of our new BBQ. Very happy with our purchase and the service at Barbecues Galore!

Went in to look at fire tables and patio furniture. Received great, helpful and friendly service. Salesperson was not pushy and we found a set we are seriously considering. Not our first time here and have purchased a BBQ previously. Would highly recommend as service is always consistently meets and exceeds expectations.

Today Phil Allan, and Pierce came to our home to get our two gas fireplace inserts running, after sitting for many years-They serviced and got them running, in no time. They cleaned everything, even repainted the inside of the fire boxes. Very professional, and knowledgeable. Totally impressed, would definitely recommend them to anybody, and will be using them for future maintenance.

We purchased both Kamado Joe Classic and Big Joe over a year ago. One of the metal accessory racks has broken and when we went to get a new one it was out of stock. When we asked to order the salesperson told us they wouldn’t order it. They suggested we try Amazon. They are happy to sell you products but hope you don’t need parts support. Very disappointed! I try my best to support local business but service is lacking. It’s no businesses wonder why they are loosing out to online retailers! -

Follow up. I am looking for the accessory rack for the Big Joe. While I appreciate you want good reviews you have not provided a service and you obviously have not talked to your entire team as we were sent away. I don’t use reviews as you can see this is my first review. Someone mentioned this would get your attention and I’m thankful it did. I am in your computer system if you would like to look me up. Educated my wife and I about bbqs and the features they now come with (who would have thought you had more "options" available for your bbq then most car manufacturers offer foe their cars).

Okay. First the good news, I appreciate everything about my purchase experience and the Broil King Sovereign 90 BBQ that I took home.

This BBQ replaces the burned-out Vermont Casting that we had for the past 11 summers.

Larry, our store rep, was excellent - showed us what we needed to see - nothing more. We already knew we wanted 3 burners, SS grills, a rotisserie option, and in natural gas.

We took advantage of the pre-build service for $30.00. Wouldn't hesitate to do that again.

We also purchased a cover and a rotisserie basket (for wings, french fries, etc).

Broke in the BBC last night by cooking a ribeye steak - perfection in every way.

Tonight, we thought French Fries in the basket (for an hour) and then the last 20 minutes, a few burgers.

This is when I realized I should have purchased the Sovereign XLS 90 with 4 burners.the Sovereign 90 (3 burners) doesn't have enough grilling space for both the basket of fries (or whatever) and burgers.

Sadness. LOL

No regrets. We'll just have to be creative for the next 10 years.haha.

For the few extra dollars, the Sovereign XLS 90 is a far better choice, especially if you find yourself cooking for more than 4 people on a regular basis.

Barbecues Galore staff and the Sovereign 90 are both worthy of 5 Stars! I, however, feel like a 4/5 star buyer ;-)

The store is clean and well cared for with nice displays. I needed to find a cover for my undersized barbecue. Susan was extremely helpful in helping me find a solution (apparently they don't make many covers for small bbqs!) She gave me a great deal and made me feel very welcome.

We recently purchased a new gas fire table from the South store and we just love it. The delivery guys Pierce and Desmond were outstanding. I seriously hope you give those guys a raise. So polite and respectful. If your parents are reading this.great job raising amazing young men. The manager Susan was outstanding in resolving an issue I had. I wish I had more patio space so I could take home a few more things.

Am a returning customer here having purchased a high end Weber BBQ several years back. I recently returned looking to purchase a new patio table that i had previously scouted out. The sales rep informed me that the only ones they had available were the ones displayed on the floor. For the price of 1100$ i wanted a new boxed product. They called to check with their north store and confirmed with them that they did indeed have a new product. In learning this I made the long trip up the deer foot during rush hour traffic. Upon arriving at their north store the clerk at the front desk asked me if the south store had reached me while on route. Not having received a call i had asked her why they supposedly attempted to reach me. She replied saying that they didn't actually have a new boxed table available. Frustrated but having drove all the way here i figured i would see what my other options were. She went to the back to confirm whether or not they had one available, just not in a box. She returned 10 minutes later to inform me that the only one they had available was in their OUTDOOR display. I was very disappointed as i drove here wanting a new product and could have gotten the INSIDE display model at the southern location. I decided to at least inspect the outside model before potentially going back to the other location. The table was covered in dust and debris and i was not satisfied considering the premium price tag associated. By this time the southern location was closed so she offered me a refund, which i gladly took.

Overall i am very dissatisfied with how the whole endeavour was dealt with and managements lack of involvement. I was never given a straightforward explanation as to how this occurred other than "i don't know" because no one wanted to come forward and take responsibility. This in addition to a lack of any sort of empathy or compensation towards my time and gas spent will have me shopping elsewhere.

We really wanted to buy a bbq from Barbeques Galore as they have such a large selection and don't have a big box store feel. Fortunately, for us, we were informed by the salesman that we don't know how to cook due to the fact that we wanted a side burner. Unfortunately, we are now thoroughly enjoying not knowing how to cook on our new bbq from the very friendly salesman at Lowes.

Admittedly this may be a bit personal but I do not like being pounced on by a multitude a pushy sales people when I enter a store (other people just crave this much attention.but I'm independent and will easily ask for help if and when I need it.just stand in the corner and smile). One person asking if I need help is fine but 4 in one quick circle of the store? Serously? It's not that big a store. I just wanted to buy a bar-b-que cover without having to take a damn test by answering a series of questions or making a new friend.times 4. The store has a good selection, fair prices, help if you need it and help even if you don't which would have got them 5 stars without the last item I'm guessing they are paid by commission or a car salesman took over the place. I expect next they will ask to hold my credit card and talk to an unseen manager before they'll give me a price. I will personally look for another less pushy place to buy bar-b-que stuff.sadly most likely online.sigh. Is every Canadian retail op clueless or is 'closing' a new cool retail strategy?
