Great food and good service. Pretty quick with the order too. The sauces are excellent, and the chicken is always perfectly prepared.

Ordered on doordash for the first time and it was delicious! Chicken was cooked perfectly it was so juicy and the sauce was amazing.i got the double leg and thigh w rice.i little pricy ($22) but i had a credit on doordash.i will definitely be ordering again! Probably in person next time.

Great food, very authentic, super dated and needs some out door touch ups. But you can't beat the chicken they create, everytime I'm go. Will not be disappointed spicy has heat just an FYI.

The owner does not like mainstream muslims. Which is laughable bc his whole business is dependent on the Muslim community wanting halal. Otherwise ppl will just go to Nandos, which based on reading the reviews is 100x better, and cheaper.

I have gone a couple of times, thinking the bad visits were just a one-off, they were not. I know he hates sunni Muslims, bc one time I asked him (in a not busy restaurant) if I could possibly have a place to pray. The right hand side of the restaurant was empty with chairs on tables, for cleaning presumably. When I politely asked, this guy looks at me like I broke something. He scolded me and said "we serve halal here, that's it". I just laughed bc I knew I would never come back. Again its laughable bc you would think if someone is profiting off the Muslim community they would at least have the common decency to at least politely just say no, given that praying is fundamental for Muslims

Later when I was talking to my Muslim friends about the experience, they recounted terrible experiences. Turns out everyone who is muslim gets horrible treatment. And based on reading the reviews below you will notice all Muslim names have a bad experience, which is further proof of this. Stay blessed and out of this restaurant

Just ordered a half family pack. The chicken had a weird texture. They barely gave half chicken. The neck bone was attached. The portions of rice & fries says feeds 3-4 people. It was barely enough for 2 people. This place was much better before they gave good portion. Its gone downhill. Dont waste your money.

The customer service here is awful. NE location is way better! Owner should have mandatory training. He refused our coupon because his stalk was low. Not sure how that’s the customers fault. He also yelled at us in front of many people as he clearly didn’t know how to handle it professionally. The food and experience is not worth it.

I went to the NorthEast location and the service was good, but this location in my opinion is absolutely garbage. The staff behaviour was not friendly and the management set uncomfortable rules that patronises the customers. Customers are greeted at a table with a piece of paper saying we can be here for 45 mins only. The restaurant provided us with 4 tiny boxes of sauce for 5 people and refused to give us any more and told us we were allowed to make one refill. I understand the staff didnt make the rules but they were not friendly either.

The food is great and they serve halal. I had the opportunity to train here for a few hours and the STAFF are very friendly!

Owners crazy wife strikes again. 3 of us were sitting in a booth she comes tells us to move because another party of 3 wanted to sit there. HER REASONING WAS THAT they ordered more food. I almost feel bad for the owner, he's nice; his wife is just plain rude, grumpy old lady

Great Halal chicken. I would recommend getting the peri peri on the side. We order take out from Barcelos on most non-cooking days!

We experienced very bad customer service at this location. The other location in NE is way better.

This location has these rules for everything with worst customer service.

1) Sauces are not free and the sauce you pay for is not even enough for 1 piece of chicken while at NE location they serve big bottle of sauce on table without charging any extra.

2) Food portions are smaller. Full chicken is not full and large fries are sized as small compared with NE location.

3) You are only allowed to sit there for 45mins.

4) If you buy a fountain drink you are allowed to refill only once. NE location does not have this kind of rule and they allow you to refill as many times as you want.

5) On top of these rules their customer service is the worst. They wont talk in friendly tone. We were three people and they gave us a table of 6 to sit. When they started serving food, a group of 5 customers entered and the lady from staff realized that they needed bigger table for that group so she came to us and made us move to another table which was table for 2 but she put an extra chair on side which blocked the way completely and we had to get up and move the chair after every 2 mins to let others pass.

After this experience I am not going there again or will not recomend it to anyone.

The host was rude in his display of unnecessary urgency by his request to order or live within the hour while we were waiting for everyone to arrive. We noticed they were neither closing or having another large group arriving, just poor customer service.
Never returning surely.

Please don't go there especially if you have kids, this is the first and last time to visit this restaurant.
It tasted good but we ended up with “severe diarrhea” for all of my family and my young son was “vomiting”.

Not one to usually leave reviews. I used to like this place but for quite sometime now, the food quality has been steady dropping.from burnt chicken to very tasteless veggie stir fry (this used to be my wife's favourite). I just bought it and I don't know if I will do this again.

First time going here since covid. Their portions seem to have gotten bigger, which is great. Chicken was delicious and fries very crispy. Great service as well.

Had the two leg chicken platter with peri fries and rice, absolutely delicious. The sauce on the chicken is amazing and it is sooo tender and moist. The Peri Fries are wonderfully seasoned, didn’t even think of using ketchup while eating them. Must try place!

Horrible horrible horrible customer service every time we go. The two girls working today (went at 5: 20 Thursday September 1st) have dumb attitudes and the restaurant had prepared our families order way too early, used it’s select pick up time feature on the website and had it for 6: 00pm. It unfortunately wasn’t followed by the people at barcelos. Foods all soggy and bad now. Not to mention we have found flies in our food at times. Don’t come here or at least I hope the managers set their employees straight.

This place is delicious! Our family is gluten-free and dairy-free, so we always have the same family meal here, but we thoroughly enjoy it each and every time.
The employees are so kind and personable, and always happy.
We continue to go back because we are never disappointed.
The food is fresh and incredibly enjoyable!

Purchased a whole chicken.unfortunately did not receive a whole chicken, did not receive any thighs, or a whole portion of chicken breast, they pre chop it and then just grab whatever and throw it in the box, sorely disappointed. We received two necks instead! I think that's not considered a whole chicken. $40 down the drain.

Owners a decent man, his wife is the rudest person in the world. She's full of hate and makes customers and staff feel extremely uncomfortable. Food quality is super garbage on days she's working. I apologize if she's a mentally challenged person and can't help being the way she is.

Best spiced chicken I ever had prepared within relatively short time. No dining in yet due to Covid restrictions.

Was super disappointed. I ordered the Peri chicken sandwich to go and was told it would take 15 min. I didn't mind waiting because the staff was friendly and they did seem to have a lot of orders on the go. When I recieved the order I was disappointed because the sandwich was small and for the price the value was just not there. Chicken was dry and the sandwich itself looked like something I could have got at Tim Horton's for half the price.
