I’m extremely disappointed with the sales team at the BMW in Bavaria! I was promised as a part of the deal to get brownie mats for my vehicle and five weeks later I was told they had the mats however, when I got here, the sales agent took my car, put used and dirty mats in the car. When I confronted the sales agent what he did, he said he was just following orders. I feel disrespected lied to, and I’m very disappointed in the tactics that was used.

***BUYER BEWARE***

We bought our car almost a year ago from Bavaria BMW. We’re not usually the kind of people that leave a review but because of what we’ve been through the last year we wanted to warn others as Bavaria BMW did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation and even tried to gaslight us into saying that the reason why the vehicle was making a squealing sound was because of the ice on the rotors.

Almost a week after buying our car, we noticed this unpleasant sound whenever we would break. A very loud squeezing sound. We messaged and called their team to let them know and no one seemed to want help us until we threatened to go AMVIC and that’s when they finally booked us an appointment to look at the breaks and once we brought it there, they told us that it was because of ice and the breaks we’re fine. At some point they even told us that we needed to break hard and the sound would go away. After a few days of the noise persisting, we sent them messages and video of the noise. They booked us in for another appointment just to cancel it without notice, the Sales Manager (Tom) was the one that canceled our appointment and when we called to get answers, they ignored our calls and messages. We have recordings of them agreeing that they will pay to fix that sound, but then came back and said that they performed some tests and it was just ice causing the sound. We would just need to wait for the vehicle to warm up.

We went and saw other mechanics once winter ended and most of the summer past and they told us that the break pads were worn out and that’s why the vehicle was making that sound. And that if we continued to drive the car in that state it would ruin the rotors as well.

Bavaria BMW lied to us and did not follow proper procedure when inspecting the vehicle. We have attached the comments made by them when they looked at the brake again and the sound the vehicle was and still making. They are not a reputable business and will do anything to sell the car but once you leave, you are SOL.

If I could give them a negative rating, I would.

Pretty disappointed with the lack of customer service and communication from Bavaria. I originally reached out to Bavaria roughly 6-8 months ago, looking for a very specific vehicle. (2020-21 X3MC) The salesman I spoke to told me there was none on the lot but he would keep an eye open and put me on a call list as soon as one comes in.
Just a few days ago I was scrolling ads and sure enough the exact model I was looking for was on their lot and no call. No biggie. I enquired and was told there’s possibly a deal pending but the salesman would get back to me after speaking to his managers.
The next day I get a call from that salesman saying that deal is flakey and I’m good to come test drive it and work numbers on a trade deal. So we set up an appointment for that afternoon. I cleaned my suv to be viewed and headed for the dealership. I get a text on the way (15 mins before my appointment) saying “because of the pending deal, we can’t let you test drive the vehicle”

Now, these all are no doubt small inconveniences. But any other time I’ve dealt with dealerships on the purchasing side of things, there’s much better communication.

I have purchased an M model from both dealerships in Edmonton and prefer all of my experiences with Bavaria BMW. At Bavaria I would recommend Bill Bentley as my favorite professional salesman. Bill will probably be there when you buy your next BMW and then your following BMW! There are very few professional salesmen who know their product as well as Bill knows BMW. If you are new to BMW, Bill Bentley will not overwhelm your buying experience. His enthusiasm for the product is contagious but subtle. I see Bill’s selling skills as low key and very comfortable. After sales service is another benefit where Bavaria really shines. The service centre always exceeds my expectations and Bill is easy to get hold of to answer the myriad of questions that may arise once you start exploring the technology side of the car.

I do not recommend this dealership whatsoever! What kind of salesperson texts and schedules you to come and meet with the sales manager after you make a written offer on a used car and then calls 4 hours later to say they’ve sold that same car to someone else? Highly unprofessional! What a poor display of integrity and customer service!

My experience with BMW Bavaria was disappointing, don't get me wrong the car I bought is amazing and my sales rep was easy to reach and reasonable when negotiating but my experience with their management was quite disappointing.
I was pressured to have my down payment to them within days after putting a deposit down (the BMW Bavaria owner advised after I bought the car that his method was unethical and he should've been patient since I put a deposit down), I was "gifted" a couple of details to earn my business and was later on provided with poor service and they held the details over my head. Whatever they provide will be held over your head and the service will be disappointing. I was provided a loaner car and due to miscommunication with the sales rep and the manager, the manager advised "I needed to return the loaner and get a rental at my expense" even though they took my trade in vehicle the day I signed the paperwork (the BMW Bavaria owner advised the manager should've let me keep the trade-in vehicle instead of going through the loaner car process and telling me to get a rental at my expense). Fast forward to picking up my car, the car had scratches on it (after 3 weeks of pressuring me to get down payment in) and the sales manager coincidentally wasn't there then and after asking about my pick up experience, when I advised him about the scratches his response was "it's a black car, it's always going to show scratches". I would expect that service from a third party dealership like Go Auto, from BMW it was quite frustrating. Buying a black 2021 car from BMW apparently means "it will show scratches even when you pick it up from the dealership on the first day". After taking this up with the BMW Bavaria owner, he advised he'd get back to me in a couple weeks with an answer on how I can be reimbursed. 3 months later I hear back after going back and forth with his assistant that nothing can be done and they will discuss with their employees and take it away as a learning experience. Heads up everyone, your service with BMW Bavaria is merely a learning experience for them, find the car you want, have it delivered to a different BMW location and get it through them. It won't cost you a penny to have it shipped across the country and you're bound to have better experience with them. BMW Bavaria promotes the product, and once you sign, you're just a dollar figure to them; whether you spend 40k, 100k, or 150k, once you sign the paperwork you're not going to be respected as a customer.

he took a lot of time to show us all the different BMW models available and the advantages and disadvantages of each one
we were able to test drive various vehichles
he was not pushy in any way
he was extremely pleasent to deal with and he clearly enjoys his job and wants to make sure you are satisfied with his service
he helped me pick a 540 Xi which I totally love driving and has continued to remain it contact with me and make sure that he is always available for any assistance needed
I would highly recommend him to anyone interested to learn more and purchase a BMW vehichle

Few previous visits for service and for parts I was having every dollar squeezed out of me without much information being fed to me. Although more recently I have nothing but praise based on the assistance of Alina when dealing with my vehicle services. I bought my 340 back in Jan but did not get a chance to fully open it up until lately. Very fun car. There were initially some rattles but the they subsided as the weather warmed up. Big thank you to Hank, Phil and my sales person Kanwal for such an easy and pleasant transaction. As I was purchasing out of town Kanwal answered the numerous questions I had about the car, and thoroughly inspected it to make sure it was in the condition promised. Extremely happy with my car and how he took time to show me the car's features and even weeks after the purchase Kanwal answered any questions I bugged him with. Can't say enough about the guy and will definitely be back when it is time for an upgrade.

I can't say enough good things about Bavaria BMW and the portfolio manager, Ken. My grandmother was being taken advantage of and coerced by an acquaintance. This WAS NOT Bavaria's fault, they took every step to verify that my grandmother was a willing participant and simply worked with the information they had available. Once I brought the situation to the attention of the management Ken booked an appointment with me and my grandmother. He heard us out and determined that he would be ethically uncomfortable going forward with the deal. He assured my grandmother that she was no longer responsible for the loan, and even refunded her deposit after spending money on preparing the vehicle for delivery. Nobody there even acted like they were doing her a favor, but rather upholding their duty to their customer and their community. Ken also set us up with resources to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. Thank god my grandma and I ended up dealing with Ken and everyone else at Bavaria BMW. Truly decent people.

I had a great experience the first time I was a customer, and a even better experience the second time after meeting Chris Baltzan.
Chris is very professional and I would recommend him to anyone. As I was already familiar with BMWs from already having one, Chris gave me space to look at the cars i was interested in and was not pushy, when he checked up on me he had interesting features to show me which i did not know about. He is very knowledgeable and great to deal with. Even after the sale he continued to take care of me. He made my experience very welcoming and I felt like i was at home. Had one of the best shopping experience here at Bavaria BMW. I couldn't make up my mind prior to coming in, but Nicolas Wei happily show-cased all the vehicles I was deciding in between, as well letting me test-driving them to see how I felt when driving them. I am a person with many questions and concerns when it comes to purchasing a car, and Nicholas was super patient when it comes to answering them. I highly recommend going to Nicolas Wei if you are considering buying a BMW.

Hi, well i just picked up my 2017 X6 and I must commend Dennis on the excellent service that he provided from the first time i phoned in on Boxing Day. It.was almost closing time but he still gave us first class service and never once counted the time as a factor. I noticed his awards for BMW Top sales on his desk and is fitting for the service he provided. Dennis is a true professional who has the willingness to go above and beyond to please all clients. He was very patient with going through every question and concern about every vehicle i was interested in being that I am a first time BMW owner. I look forward to recommending family and friends to visit and meet with Dennis for any purchase!

I would like to issue a 100/100 to Nicolas Wei team, a month ago
I have brought a BMW last year from Mr Wei, I have received an exceptional service from him, and my wife recently got her driver license, so I visited Mr Wei again for his advise, my original plan was visiting at least three dealers to compare which offer was the best.

BMW was the first stop, Mr Wei again had delivered exceptional client experience and my wife didn’t even want to go another dealer for comparing. We have made purchased decision without comparing other dealer’s offer because we believed that this would be the best offer we can have at the Bavaria BMW.

Again, because of fantastic experience, BMW is always the first choice when I consider to buy a car. And I have referred my friends to Mr Wei as well, when you decide to buy a high end car, you deserve a high end experience. You will definitely be received that from Mr Nicolas Wei.

My comments are about the service department. I have multiple bad experiences over the past several years (my car is 2009 X5) :

1. About 1 month ago, I brought the car to the shop to fix two recall problems. When I picked up the car in the late afternoon, there was an engine alert sign and the dashboard clock had no display. It implies that the service people did not check even obvious things before returning the car to me. When I talked to the customer care rep (Michelle Sangermano), she claimed it was the action of my starting the car that caused the problem and I had to pay for fixing it next day. Eventually, they claimed it is a sensor problem and I had to pay $400.2. About two years ago, the air-conditioning produced some smells. The shop concluded it was caused by a leaking condensator and recommended for replacement. After paying over $3000 dollars, the problem was not fixed. They later concluded that the leak was due to other problems and the cost of fixing them was about $4000. They never admitted that the first diagnosis was wrong and insisted replacing the condensator is the necessary step to find the problem!

3. In another case, the shop declared that I need to replace battery (after about 40,000km driving). I paid $700 for replacing the battery.

4. In addition to poor repair jobs and over charges, some of the service rep don’t care about customers either. After the recall incident [item (1) above], I had to leave the car there for further repair. It delayed me to pick up my 7th grade daughter in Crestwood. I informed the service rep Michelle Sangermano that my daughter was waiting outdoor and I needed to order a taxi. She ordered one online without checking when the taxi would come. After waiting for close to 10 minutes, I went to the office to ask her to check. She replied that it was just 6 minutes and the car would come in 10 minutes. I waited for another 10 minutes without result. So I had to call the cab company to check. The company did confirm a cab was ordered but it would take another 20 to 30 minutes to come due to rush hour. When I returned to the office to talk to the rep, she has gone. At the end, I had to work with customer care manager to get a loaner car from the dealership. By the time I arrived at Crestwood, it was 6pm and -12C degree outside!

In summary, please beware the problems and difficulties you will face after buying a car here. The service shop will tax you heavily financially and emotionally. I will not buy a car from this shop in the future. I hope this information will help you to make an informed decision.

Our family has purchased two vehicles from Chris Baltzan in the past. He is the consummate professional knows his product and even the competition’s. Genuinely cared about what we needed and ended up sourcing the perfect vehicle for us. It restores faith that there are trustworthy people in the car industry. I typically hate the whole vehicle shopping experience, because it can feel like there is a ton of pressure from sales to get you into a vehicle fast. However this time my experience was different. Dealing with Landon Carlson changed my whole perspective of pushy salesmen as he made me feel very comfortable and made the whole process enjoyable. Landon was very knowledgeable and understanding of my needs and I would recommend him to anyone that is looking to purchase a vehicle at this location.

Wish there was an option for 0 stars. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the way I was treated when I bought my car from them. I was literally forced into signing a deal with minimum to no amount of explanation as to what I was signing for. 1. I was not given the chance to test drive my car until I signed the paperwork which seemed a bit ridiculous and now that I have gone to multiple dealerships explaining to them my situation I have come to realize that they just wanted to get rid of the car. 2. I was told that the vehicle has All season tires on it. I took it to edmonton bmw last month and they told me my car has summer all performance tires on it. So basically, they lied to me. 3. They put a 3M rock guard on my car worth 1500 dollars and told me that was the only option. I go to edmonton bmw and they tell me they have ones for less than half that price. 4. The 3M they put on my vehicle literally started bubbling after 6 months. Something you wouldn’t expect from a 1500 product. I take it in there after booking an appointment and they didn’t even bother fixing it. 5. When I bought the car it had the emergency SOS light on. The sales manager there told me that they will have it fixed within a month once they get the part in for it. Took them 1 entire year to get the part in. I booked an appointment to have it fixed and they kept my vehicle for 3 days to do the installation. After 3 days I come back to pick up my car and the same SOS light is still on. I ask one of the service advisor why it’s still on and he tells me that I have to book another appointment for this fix. I go in there after a few weeks to have it fixed and finally this time they got it fixed. 6. The front USB port had no power coming to it so I left my vehicle there yet again to have it repaired. They tell that they have to order the part for it from Vancouver and kept my vehicle for a couple more days. They call me back telling me that it’s fixed. I go in to pick up my car and guess what, nothing was fixed. It had the same issue and there was still to power output in the USB port.
After all this I decided to go to Edmonton BMW who treated me like an actual customer unlike Bavaria who clearly don’t know what they are doing. Edmonton bmw has by far the best service advisors and treat there customers with respect.
I would not recommend anybody to go in there to buy a new car or get your service work done from there. They will screw you over if you don’t know the system and will literally rip you off. I was not educated enough about how dealerships work and I was taken advantage of by Bavaria and their team. So always make sure to do your research and read through every detail before they get you to sign anything. Go to Edmonton BMW and trust me they are much better.

Been here for years and had bought a couple of new cars. Price negotiations can be exhausting, but warranty services are pretty good as most servicing appointments are fully covered, including oil changes. Vehicles are washed once everything is done. My broken fog light was not covered as it is an exterior damage. Fob key battery replacement is also not covered and it was a little expensive for a 2 minute job. Loaner vehicles are not always available, but they do offer shuttle services. Staff is mostly friendly. I had experience a couple of unpleasant experiences when I called and emailed in the past. I called one time and a female operator which I assume is new, could not understand what I needed. Instead of asking for help or putting me on hold, she said I needed to talk to someone else in a rude tone. There was also another where I emailed multiple times for a confirmation of completed services for my last visit as I did not get one, but no one replied. I ended going there to get it myself on my next service visit.

I genuinely hate everyone I meet… literally. But LANDON CARLSON WAS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH!

Since I was 19 I’ve always wanted a BMW, however every time I’ve come to this dealership it never worked out. In the end, I’ve always ended up choosing their competitors (Mercedes and Audi) because the customer service in comparison was better.

Nevertheless, I’ve gone through 3 cars in less than a decade, now on my 4th, and I can wholeheartedly say that I’ve never had such amazing service at a dealership before! I explained everything that I wanted and Landon was able to find me the perfect vehicle that checked off all my requirements in a timely manner. Most importantly, he was patient and NOT overbearing! Without a doubt, MVP OF CAR SALES! Bavaria needs to give him a raise because he had to deal with me, poor guy. THANKS LANDON!

Chris Baltzan, in my experience he is the finest and most honest sales person I've ever dealt with. He not only completed my sale on his day off to ensure car was cleaned properly and new windshield installed. He gave me his great car tie because i said i liked it. **Avoid this location** At Bavaria BMW really don’t know what they are doing.

In the past when there was oil pan gaskit recall. They end up messing up my X5 motor and I had to put used motor at 38K only. As my manufacturers warranty was expired. My warranty was about to ranout so I was keep requesting them but they were saying parts are back order. Upon phoning Edmonton BMW inquiring about the past I found out parts are available till date I don’t know why they were making me wait. That’s actually happened what I was afraid about. They worked on that recalled and ended up killing the motor. Recently my Vehicle was their for the Airbag recall and I had three visits after that and one after another problem. First entertainment system stopped working then bunch of other warning lights came up (this is when even vehicle was in their parking lot) so I don’t understand why they are phoning and says your vehicle is ready for pick up. Just to waste someone’s time I guess. Now GPS and Back up camera Stopped working. Seems like it’s never ending visit. I wish someone would know there what they are doing.

My other vehicle 750i is been serviced at Edmonton BMW dealership and never had any issues. I had enough stressful experiences from Bavaria. If you want to live life peacefully avoid this location. Guys, I had to give 1 star as there wasn’t a option for zero.

Picked up my car on the weekend and can only say good things about Bavaria and the positive experience there. It's changed and improved and I like it! My Sales Consultant, Bill Bentley, was wonderful. My process was long and drawn out and he was nothing but professional. He even brought the car to my workplace because I was too bust to get away!
The best customer service all-round. Sales Manager, Chris Hussein, is first class and makes one feel like they matter to the business, as did Bo Ge, Chris Brown and Kingsley. Even the receptionists are friendly and inviting. I am grateful for the kindness and really, it's how it should be, but one doesn't always encounter such great people in many retail environments these days. As a woman, sometimes I"ve been ignored in a dealer showroom. I felt totally respected and appreciated. German cars are my 'Jam' (LOL) and they earned my loyalty. Thanks Everyone!

I'm very disappointed with this dealership. I originally gave it a five star as Mike M ask to give a good review for him witch I was more than inclined to as he was very professional and friendly (as is his job requirements), I was treated well when I was signing for a car. I put money down to hold a vehicle while waiting for approval, I keep my options open and keept looking. After a couple days of waiting to hear back from them I had already found a better car for myself. I was told Id need a co signer, so I decline and asked for my money back witch I was originally told it would only be one day. Three days go by no call at this point so I go in, I was told two more days and I should receive a call when it's ready. Still no call and three more days pass so I go in again and now I'm told they printed my name off wrong and had to reprint the cheque (witch they had just not signed by the GM) so all in all a week and a couple days went by finally got my money back and never received a single phone call. Will never go back and would never recommend to anyone. 0/10

When shopping at Bavaria BMW, I highly recommend seeing Bill Bentley. This was my second vehicle delivery from Bill, and even though his specialty is in new vehicle fleet sales, he was always there to help me every step of the way finding a used vehicle. He has been helping my family for over 14 years, and has been displaying nothing but the highest level of professionalism and courtesy.

Throughout my used car shopping, I was debating between another BMW dealership in Canada with a competitive offer, however Bill’s hard-work, dedication and upfront attitude won my business again. He was very prompt and informative in replying to emails and phone calls. I even enjoy stopping by and chatting with him even when I’m not in the vehicle market- he is a true automotive enthusiast! I have referred numerous colleagues to Bill and they have been treated with a high level of respect and have always given positive feedback.

Went to the BavariaBMW last week to look at the 2018 X5, spent couple days to negotiate the price. Everything was good and positive during the negotiation process, since I have a Lexus for trading in, and I was worry about the buyout process of the Lexus, they make it super confidence and told me “don’t worry about the Lexus anymore, we have a lot of connection in Lexus, our dealership will have that solved, let’s only talk about your new car”. Everything sounds great, got a really good deal at the end, went there put $1000 deposit.
My wife and I were very excited about this new car. I bought insurance while waiting them to have the car ready for the delivery. Couple days later, the car is finally ready, my wife and I both took a day off to pick up the car. Guess what happened, they told me, there is a problem with your Lexus buyout, you need to pay $20 more every month. First of all, $20 is nothing for monthly payment, and most people would choose to “fold it” at that stage. We were so upset that we had a deal and have signed paper when we put down the deposit, and they can easily find an excuse to change the payment when you are so ready to pick up the new car. If the problem with the buyout is true, why you didn’t call me when you found out the problem and let me know before picking up the car?  So, we told them, we are not going to pay the extra $20 every month. They told us “well, if you are not going to buy the car, we can’t give you back your deposit, you can file a complain with AMVIC, if they said we should give you back your deposit, then we will”. What a cheap move! I insist and told them give my money back. Eventually, the sales person called the owner, and told us “ ok, we don’t want to have your business, we’ll give you the deposit back, we are losing $2000 for this deal”. The sales person told us in front of our face “do you know how much time I have wasted on you, if you can’t afford it why you are buying it” Do you know how much time both my wife and I have wasted on your dishonest dealership. You don't make promise that you can't fulfill to your customer and let the customer take the consequence of your inrresponsible promise. Wouldn't recommend anyone shop at this dishonest, rude and inrresponsible dealership.

Bought a used car from Mike Martin. The car that I bought had exhaust and transmission issues which required 4k to repair. Both of these issues were very visible and yet their "mechanical fitness test" checked both of these as good condition. I took the car for an inspection at my mechanic and they found that the transmission was leaking badly and they said that the transmission area must have been washed clean before selling the car. How they missed the obvious transmission leak is beyond me. Selling cars with defects at a BMW dealership is absolutely terrible business. Avoid the used car sales at this dealership, BUYER BEWARE.
