I would not recommend this hotel. Rarely do I make reviews, but how awful our stay was I thought it was a must. To put it short, we had booked the romantic suite for our honeymoon. When we got there we expected something more than your average room. Though the only thing “extra” was the jucuzzi tub. Which when we did turn it on dirt and mold came out. The room was absolutely filthy, there was shoe print close to the ceiling due to the bugs that prior guests were trying to kill, you could still see the bug guts under the shoe prints. The door didn’t have proper seals so there was so. Much. Bugs. In the room at all hours of the day. I get that the weather was starting to get colder and that is what the manager had told us And they couldn’t control that. However they can control sealing the doors properly to limit the bugs. They can also make sure that there isn’t bug guts and shoe prints on the wall. After our first night we tried to get a refund for the second because we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in a room when we woke up to bugs crawling on us. They refused. Other than the bugs, and absurd prices we found dirty rags hidden in our room, mold around the toilet and stains on the sheets. The only good thing about our stay was the restaurant. I can’t say good enough things about the staff and service we had at the restaurant. So in summary, stay somewhere else.
We throughly enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner, 2023. The food was wonderful, thanks to the chef! We had asked for a window table when we booked our reservation and was told it would be first come first serve for those tables. When we arrived there were two window tables available but they would not allow us to sit at them. They took us back to a table with a post in front of it. The hostess staff could have handled this politely but were quite rude. The bartenders made up for everything with excellent service to us, and we don't drink alcohol. We hadn't spent the night to review the rooms but the location is perfect, along the Upper Waterton Lakes.
All in all it was a short but good stay. We had a pet friendly room and we loved it. Most of the stores were closed down as it was near the end of the season but it was really good. Staffs were really nice and ambience was good.
Pros: -Hotel is right next to the lake -Rooms were clean -Front desk was really nice -The partial lake view
Cons: -Extremely old. Owners keeps replying every comment by saying "we spent millions on renovations". Well, apparently you've been ripped off -There is no kettle in the room -So noisy. You can hear everyone in that hotel, next door neighbours? Loud and clear. Trolley on the corridor in front of the rooms? Loud and clear. Upstairs or downstairs noises? Of course. Electrical appliances in the room? Yes, especially the mini fridge likes to scare you in the middle of the night. -The view? It is mostly covered by the trees, lake view is very partial. But you know what is not partial? The sound of the families with more than 2 kids running on the beach at 7 am in the morning. That sound is definitely not partial:) -The food was really bad. We stayed at the hotel at the end of the season, I understand the pantry is empty, half of the menu is not available, thats not the issue. It just tastes so so bad and oily. -Hair dryers - If you have more than 7 strands of hair, just don't wash your hair.
Another reviewer mentioned something like "this is a hotel charging you 3 star prices but offering 1 star services" Cannot agree more. Please save your money. I know you are thinking "It cannot be that bad, there must be something else, something more that they offer that deserves this price". No there is not. The whole hotel/restaurant complex is just run by someone who tries to justify their high prices with "but we are not like those big hotels, we only run 6 months of a year and we have to make enough money" excuse.
Please read reviews for "Starbucks" that clearly isn't.yet clearly.marketing implies it is

Amazing set up and appealing menu
Waiter was loud and overly clicheic, dramatic.
Then the outside door beside us was opened and left opened (cold and wet outside). I got my wife her jacket and grabbed my toque until we could get someone's attention. It was our waiter. He seemed surprised we were cold. And asked where we from! *@. So weird.
After we seated, I took the Alcohol Menu and set it aside.
When the waiter came to take drinks he dug it out and shoved it in front of me.
We Started with crab cakes.not good.tasted like tuna salad.
The waiter asked us how it was and I clearly told him it was not good. He immediately said "Greeeaat" and turned and walked away. We were left with the dirty dishes in our table
The crab cakes weren't sitting well
Then another server (no smile, no hello or anything to get our attention politely) stated "Salmon" like it was a question. My Wife was a bit stunned
My meal was put in front of me. The smell was revolting. It was covered in a shaved cheese (not in menu description) and smelled like dog poo.
My stomach was reeling at this point
A third person came to us and asked us how things were. I let her know about the service and food quality. She offered to take away the food and offered to bring a new menu. I said ok. The menu had some lettuce and sauce on it. It wasn't from our table.
We ended up getting a partial bill.paid it and left.
The room was quaint and had a good view and access to the lake. The only grumble would be the sound from the room upstairs. You could hear every step and it woke us up when the people upstairs came in later that night.
Great lodge, we will visit again. Good rooms, comfy beds and perfect view from balcony. Parking is right there, inside, and pure clean lake is just outside. Best location also, it was an ideal choice for us.
Absolutely loved everything about this hotel! Location was fantastic (right on the water), staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Our first night there was a slight problem with water pressure but a big bus load of people on tour were staying the night as well and I think when we had a shower, everyone else was showering too. Besides that the balcony was wonderful, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with a nice size tub. There was a good size fridge too which was nice for drinks and snacks + the tv was big and there were enough channels to enjoy some good relaxation. We loved how close the hotel was to everything too and honestly we walked everywhere without using the car once! Would definitely stay here again!
Location, location, location! Clean, older room…perfect location in Watertown! Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks! Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Sandwiched between the mountains and the river…perfect!
Throughly enjoyed our stay, the hotel was in a great location, so close to the water and the shops. Cute little place, would recommend to friends and family.
During our Canadian roadtrip, as a treat for their Mom on Mother's Day, the daughters booked a room for us at the Bayshore Inn in Waterton Park. The room was clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The room had a great bathroom, good tub and shower, and the best towels of our trip. We thought that the accent chair in the room was a little hard and uncomfortable. We had a second story room, so the trees tended to block the view of the lake and beyond, so the view from the room may be better downstairs. But you are in a National Park, so you are probably there to get outside anyway, there is a nice walkway along the lake. There were several walkable food options in the area, we ate nextdoor at the Lakeside Chophouse.
Stayed last fall just before they closed for the season, the new landscaping was being done it looked amazing and im excited to see it in the spring when i go back with my family, the owner and staff were so accommodating and the food was mouthwatering every time! My wife also got a massage at the spa and said it was fantastic cant wait to go back this year
The town shuts down last weekend of September which was not made clear to us in anything on the booking, and was advertised as one of the last rooms in the hotel as if the town was busy and full.spa was closed, only bar/restaurants that were open were the super high end ones in the hotel.
