It was not a good experience for us. I think it also depends more on the stylist too. One of the stylist was good, the other one didn't even has the patience to listen. She appeared to be a well experienced stylist and did the exact opposite of what we asked her to do. From a customer perspective I will never go back their.

Chantelle was always the one i go to for my toddlers haircut, she is always awesome! And you can tell that she really loves her job, my son hates having haircut and somehow chantelle still manage to get it done.

If I could give zero stars I would I tried to bring my son in today for a 1030 appointment with Zafreen and she made me look and feel stupid in front of everybody. She said that she had to 1030 appointments already when she had a 1030 appointment available online she also says that they booked them yesterday, so why were they available online still? Very bad customer service. This was going to be my 2 yr old sons first appointment and he was very excited. First of all she yelled at him and told him to not touch anything. She was very rude and gave my 1030 spot to a guy that was late at 10 o’clock. She had really bad English and seemed very rude. She should work on her customer service and should be more respectful to customers that hold her appointments. Rudest place I have ever been and this is for children! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I used to take my other son there from when he was a baby, and now I will never set foot in there again. Would you want this disgusting person touching your child’s hair? ! She seems like she doesn’t like children to begin with.

I have been consistently bringing my 3 kids to this location for well over 10 years - from their first haircuts to present day. The staff here have always performed quality, professional work. The stylists are patient and efficient every time; from when they were squirming, irrational toddlers to my present day teens/pre-teens learning how to ask for the services they want. I really appreciate the many years of care and excellent service we have received.

Highly recommend booking ahead of time if you don’t have the time to wait. We had a lovely experience hairdresser was patient and kind to my son.

I have been taking my daughters to the St. Albert Beaners for years and had such a terrible experience at Mayfield last weekend. I always pay $10-$15 for two French braids for my 4 year old at St. Albert but Mayfield charged me $25! She did not get a cut or wash and the entire service took 15 min. I called St. Albert to confirm their price list and they were shocked at how much Mayfield charged me. Obviously they make their own prices. The manager showed zero compassion and was unwilling the lower the price once I told her what St. Albert charges. I will never take my kids here again as the prices are ridiculous and inconsistent.

Zafreen has been cutting our son's hair for 3 years now. Great experience every time. Thank you!

This is our fourth time coming in this location. My 2 year old son had a haircut earlier and the indian hairdresser is impatient with him as he is crying so much because he is always scared of haircuts. Its so disappointing because you can tell she doesn't love her job. She is working with beaners and she should be patient with kids. From now on, I learned that we should always go here is Chantell is working. So far Chantell is the only one I could tell loves her job and loves kids! She cut my baby's hair before. Please talk to your indian hairdresser. I dont want other kids and parents to experience what she did to us.

My daughter loves her hair so much! We came in with a mess of hair super uneven due to a cousin cutting her hair and the lady made her hair very nice and even again:) thank you so much!

Chantel was amazing with the 2.5 year old son who struggles with sensory concerns and anxiety surrounding haircuts; she was patient, kind, and so sweet with him.

Normally I've had to hold my boy down, while he's screaming, crying, and thrashing, as he's scared of the buzzing sound that the clippers make. Haircuts have never been an easy or fun experience for anyone involved.

Today was an entirely different experience. My son didn't cry once! Chantel cut his entire head with scissors, gave him breaks as he needed, allowed him to have 6 suckers to keep focus, shifted him between three different vehicle seats as his interests peaked, and let him touch and see everything she used on him before using it. I will absolutely return to Chantel, and encourage others who have littles that have struggled getting their hair cut to see her as well!

Hope was really lovely and was definitely experienced with kids cuts. However the salon was unclean. The chairs were just sort of brushed off between kids. I didn’t see any surface wiped. Another stylist just used a blowdryer to “clean” a basket of clipper guards and rinsed the razor.

Such a great place and experience each time we come for my sons hair cuts. I was also very happy to see that they support people with autism as my son has autism. I love coming here and only here for haircuts for my kids.

Fantastic service and amazing quality! Both our kids gets their best cuts here and they absolutely love the staff here. Would highly recommend them.

Chantel at Beaners Mayfield is a literal saint. My child was bouncing from chair to chair, I even held him at one point and she was still able to get the cutest little cut done on him.

Thank you so much Chantel for making his first haircut fun and exciting. We will be back!

My son gets his hair done here, and we don't even consider going elsewhere. Always friendly and professional staff, and the salon is clean and has a good vibe for little ones.

Ive taken my kid here twice now and have booked Chantel M both times. I will continue to take my kid here and book Chantel as she is wonderful. She is patient, fast and great with kids. Positive experience everytime and love how good my kids haircut looks. Highly recommend Chantel, she will not disappoint.

We came here January. Sheri was the hairdresser for my son’s first haircut. It started out fine and my son was happy but he became very upset the moment she put the cape on and she just pushed on instead of trying to address what was wrong. I held him and eventually just took the cape off. I told her I wanted a strand of hair (shouldn’t have to remind her since it’s part of the first haircut experience) so she picked up some hair off the floor. I grabbed a nicer strand from his shoulder at the end to take home. Sheri also smelled like cigarette and I understand having a smoke break but have a mint after so the kids aren’t exposed to the smell.
I came here because I wanted my son to have a sweet experience for his first haircut and we both left upset. I thought since it’s a kids hair salon, they would be better able to handle sensory issues surrounding a haircut. I’m willing to try Beaners once more with a different hairdresser but otherwise I’ll be cutting his hair at home myself.

Chantelle was great with my 5 year old, it was her first time at a hair salon. She did a good job with her hair and even did a braid when she was done that made the trip extra special. I found the price reasonable and found it convenient that I was able to book online and get it so quickly.

Staff is always helpful and accommodating.they give excellent kid cuts considering my 2 year old does not sit still. Definitely recommend!

They know how to cut hair and entertain the kids while doing it. My 7yr old autistic daughter didn't want her hair cut, but needed it. The hairdresser not only got her to like the cut, but also leave with a smile. That's Huge in my books.soo hard to find a good hairdresser these days. 5 stars!

Love love love Chantel! She’s been cutting my sons hair for 7 years and just cut my new lil ones hair. She is amazing and I would adopt her as a sister if I could!
