Beaners Fun Cuts For Kids

I asked for a haircut only with scissors and I think they didn't know how to do it, I asked for long hair and they left my son's hair horrible.
The first time when I went it was good enough. But now it was too bad

Overall experience was fine.
They gave my son a little certeficate for his first hair cut with a small amount of his hair which I liked. Other than that, Haley (the hair stylist) could be a little fun and social if she chose to work with kids, instead she didn't speak at all and she didn't make any effort making my son confortable during the process or even cleaned his face from the hair.probably, we won't go back again due to the experience, we will try to go to other places until we find the right one for us.

Great kids haircut place! We had Kamar and she did an excellent job with our 2.5 year old! Super happy with the cut and the customer service!

Went to Beaners for the first time for my toddler boy’s hair cut. Manjit is super sweet and fast and made the whole experience worthwhile. Will be returning and recommend to friends.

The ladies were absolutely amazing with my kids, my sons forst experience in a hair salon and they made it an amazing experience for him he was so excited and so happy with everything and my daughter also left very very happy

We took our almost 2 year old son here today for his first hair cut and it was absolutely way better than I could have imagined. We saw Kamar and she amazing! She was so sweet from the get go and we felt so good knowing she would be cutting his hair. We were worried as our son has long hair and we didn’t want it chopped but kamar went slow and did exactly what we wanted. She was so sweet with him and the whole process was an absolute pleasure. We will 100% be back again to see her. She did amazing.

Took my oldest daughter here 3 times now, each getting a different stylist, and each time a great experience. My daughter is very quiet and they were all so patient with her. Highly recommend.

I would of given them one star for the cool chairs but zero stars for the services. My son and husband both got haircuts here and the stylist did not listen to my instructions on my son's at all. She gave him a generic hair cut which is not what I asked for at all. The stylist for my husband "tried" and thank goodness left if longer so we can go somewhere else to get it cut properly. We have to wait for my son's to grow out, I could cry just thinking about it. So disappointed do not go here!

Took my daughter here for the first time and won’t be returning. The hair dresser was not kid friendly at all. There was zero interaction with her other then making demands and coming off as annoyed when my daughter became distracted by the car, movie playing, and everything else going on. (She’s 2.5) …Overpriced trim that was about 7 minutes long. Only reason I am not giving a 1/5 is that I’m sure the other stylists are a lot more interactive and kind towards the kids. Total disappointment.

Brought my 13 month old son in for his first haircut. The whole staff was super awesome. Definitely will be coming back to see Kamar again for his next hair cut. You can definitely tell how great they are with kids and my son looks fantastic and they honoured what we wanted.

Kamar is wonderful! My toddler is not a fan of haircuts, but she is so calm, reassuring and quick.

Always a pleasure coming into to beaners, the friendly receptionist always greet us with smiles and the stylists make the boys experience alot more comfortable! Thank you all!

Rachelle was so great with my son! She was quick and did a great job, and chatted with my son the whole time to make him feel more comfortable. I'll definitely book with her again! The receptionist isn't friendly (hence the 4 star review) but it's really the stylist's interaction with my son that matters to me.

We took my two year old son go Beaners after numerous failed haircut attempts at other salons. Kamar was AMAZING! My son was very upset, but she was patient and so sweet to him. She worked around me hugging him the entire time, and Kamar did the most beautiful cut. We are so happy! Thank you so much! I will be recommending Kamar and Beaners to all my friends with toddlers.

Visited for my son's first haircut. We had Cassie who was awesome, she was extremely patient and worked so well to accomodate a moving 13 month old. She moved with him and did a fantastic job completing the cut while my son turned his head this way and that way. They provided a baby's first hair cut certificate as well as collecting locks of hair for us to take home in a little baggie for keepsakes. Very nice added touch to a momentous event. Thank you Cassie for making today a positive experience for both my son and my husband and I! Would highly recommend Beamers. Great service and awesome kid friendly environment.

Do not ask for a trim! They'll brush, throws some sprinkles in your daughter's hair and $20 later, you'll pick her up feeling like you've been scammed.

I booked with Melissa after reading a couple of reviews. Our experience was great and she was amazing with the our toddler. She made it fun but also ensured that he was safe and less scare -specially with the hair buzzer machine. I have been a Southland Beaners customer but after visiting this Beaners location I’ll be coming here from now on.
Melissa was amazing with kids. She did a wonderful clean cut and talk to our child throughout the appointment. I highly recommend her.
The salon was clean and they sell fun items for kids hairs, shampoos and toys. Welcoming environment. At the end of our appointment we purchased a purple foam shampoo for kids.

I was kind of nervous for my two year olds first haircut but it went great! Rachelle was great with my daughter and I just love the set up. The car chair really distracted her. The prices aren't unreasonable. Will only be going here for future cuts and styles.

This was our first time at the Southland location, the hairdresser was very nice, she connected immediately with my daughter, understood what she wanted and she is happy with her new look! Great experience. Also they are following all the protocols to avoid Covid-19.

I started going to Beaners at Macleod eve since my son turn into 18 months to get his first haircut, he loves Hailey and she been always perfect! I recommend this place to anyone who looks for fun experience in getting a haircut for their kids.

Went here for a first haircut with our 9 month old son. Sarah was amazing with him and did a great job with all his squirming. She sang to him towards the end when he was getting fussier and kept him in a good mood. We appreciated the kindness and will definitely be going back. Thanks again!

My sister went here for her first haircut, and they did a very good job being gentle and making sure she did not cry or fuss. The atmosphere is amazing for children too.

Love Beaners but this review definitely goes out to Stella. Stella is amazing with my kid, and does an amazing job to keep him happy while cutting his hair. She does a really good job.

Had another stylist cut my son's hair once, and let's just say we are never not using Stella ever again.

My daughter had her first haircut there and the hairstylist was so good with her even when she wasn't sitting still and the price was really reasonable, I would definitely recommend it and I'm taking her back there for her next haircut.

Quick walk in, I showed the hairdresser a picture, and she got my toddler's hair just right. Bonus points for letting him choose which fun seat to sit in, and putting up with the wiggles.

The fun chairs for kids makes cuts easier and enjoyable. The quality of workmanship is somewhat hit and miss but usually a hit!

Great hair dressers very patient with the kid’s, highly skilled. They work great with giving you what you asked for OR suggesting a cut. Wouldn’t take my precious girls any where else.

ManCub got his mane lopped off here. Fast. Easy. And affordable. His stylist, (yeah ManCub has a stylist at 13) was quirky and funny. Great place if you can stand the crying from random kids under 5.

I came a last weekend to this place. I had an appointment for Saturday 10am. I arrived 5min later and was told they couldn’t cut my sons hair because I was too late. I completely understood and make a new appointment for today at 4pm. When I arrived I was 30min earlier (there’s a ball pit for kids to play and I knew I needed to be on time) at 4: 10pm I asked the front desk lady how long more it would be and she just said I needed to wait and that’s the way it was and she didn’t even apologize or said something like “it’d be a little more time sorry for the inconvenience”. So there’s a double standard here! What I hated the most was the receptionist attitude like “I don’t care”.

My toddler was afraid of getting haircuts. That is until he met Rosa! She was thorough and gentle. There is this something special about her that my son took to her very well and sat mostly still to let her cut his hair. Will be going back to her for my toddlers future haircuts!

Our first time there and it was such a big disappointment. The lady that cut my son's hair was extremely rude, rolling her eyes at me and all. The manger was there and she alleviated some of the rudness by apologizing, but I won't be taking my kids there again.

I tried to explain what I wanted as a hair cut for my son but the hair dresser kept saying that was doing exactly that but it wasn't. Another stylist stepped in and showed her exactly what I was after. She even helped with the trim.other staff dropped over and check on how things were going asking how things were going since last time we were in. Pointing out the wording I was using was specific and not taught at most stylists schools and only used at Barber locations. I enjoyed the friendliness and the calmness. The have never hurt my son while cutting, other places have hurt him while cutting.

We love beaners for the past 4 ish years that’s the only place we took our kids for their hair cuts.but We got there for our appointment on time waited about 15 mins and left. The place seemed way over booked and not very organized. We will not be returning to this location. Or beaners for awhile

As someone who got their hair cut at beaners, i can tell you how bad it is.some new girl cut my hair today and it looks horrible.there is one "layer" around my whole head.its literally just a circle around my head.it's so choppy and gross.the only hairdresser i actually like and trust, is rachelle.she is the only one who knows how to not mess up someone's hair.

Ok you guys, can we just talk about Stella for a minute? She just cut my 5 year old, severely autistic non verbal sons hair today. Now let me tell you, I dread hair cuts.loath them infact because they are so difficult for him. Most of the haircuts he's had have resulted in screaming, tears and hitting.with the exception of one he had last year with Stella. So I tried my luck again and managed to get her today. Last year wasn't a fluke, she did the exact same thing. Apart from the awesome and stylish haircut, she managed to keep him calm, make him smile and make it the most enjoyable experience. She is just so capable, calm and so good at her job. You deserve 1000 stars! Thank you Stella! Bennett is a lucky boy to have seen you today:)

The staff were great with kids and very sweet but was very disappointed with the chop job max got yesterday
He is 2 and has had his hair cut previously
So uneven for a child that sat very still

This place is amazing. They always do a great job on our sons hair. I love the ball pit area for the kids well they wait. And the fun chairs they have well the kids get their hair cuts makes it fun and exciting. Also the prices they charged is so reasonable. Happy customer.
