Becker's Chalets

Staff were great and very helpful but the room wasn’t worth the price that was charged. The kitchen tap and shower head are from the 1980’s, showers were not enjoyable due to this. (see pictures). The mattress was lumpy and bedding was subpar, giving my girlfriend a sore neck. The lamp in the living room had a screw installed in place of the rotary switch (see pictures). The resort restaurant was overpriced and we chose to eat elsewhere. I might consider staying there again if the rooms were updated to a better quality standard.

Although this is a very beautiful place they have a no pet friendly policy. I think that in today's world they should revisit this policy. Would have given them 5 stars otherwise.

We stayed at Beckers for 3 nights this week and we so very happy with everything. We had the cabin for 4 people and it was homey, clean & comfortable. The property is beautifully located beside the river and they have lots of chairs and benches for relaxing beside the river. The check in process was easy and the young woman that assisted us was friendly and knowledgeable. Even though they warned the cabins were close to the road, we had no issues with noise as the road is very quiet at night. Beckers is only a few minutes to downtown Jasper. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I visit the area.

If I were to return to Jasper I would stay here without a doubt.

Our chalet had a fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

These Chalets are ideal for a stay over in Jasper although they were fully booked when we arrived. The chalet had plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen. We had a two bedroom chalet and unfortunately one of the bedrooms was very hot and making the whole chalet too hot. There are labels saying do not alter the thermostats and so we closed the bedroom door and let the temperature lower. When we mentioned this at check out we were told we should have told them as the temperatures are centrally controlled and can be altered. I also mentioned that the WiFi was intermittent and did not work in the bedroom.

This is a nice place to go! Especially when you like nature, wildlife, and cool views! Because here you get to see the forest, rivers, and mountains! And sometimes you get to see bears! The only downside is that the signal and wifi is kind of bad, but that’s fine for me because i dont usually use my phone and just enjoy whats there!

Very nice, clean, quiet place to stay during our Jasper Park visit. Definitely would stay here again in 1BR cabin. Bed was great, and so was the fireplace. It was great to warm up after a cold Sept.mountain rain hike.

Assez déçu de ces logements assez haut de gamme. Nous pensions avoir un chalet pour nous et en réalité il était divisé en deux mais ni verticalement ou horizontalement: la chambre des voisins se situait au-dessus de l'une de nos deux chambres. Nous pouvions clairement entendre les voisins parler, marcher, descendre les escaliers.
La salle de bain était minuscule.

Been there many times. Nice location. A tad overpriced. Puddles in the field, saw someone closing valves but never saw sprinklers. This time it had a strong and constant sewer odor coming off the septic system. Not mountain fresh to be sure. They said it was the wind.

Good deflection not talking about the odor. The groundskeeper was looking right at the puddles as well. It was he who was closing the valves.

Beautiful chalets equipped with everything you will need for a great stay. Resort area is amazingly clean and well organised, great scenery too. The location is near lots of attractions and only a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of the town site.

Flawless accommodation with wonderful scenery. Would like to stay this place once I have the chance to visit Jasper area.

The family that owns and operates Beckers Chalets is first class - very attentive to the needs of its guests and always very welcoming. The grounds are kept pristine - the chalets and cabins, although rustic, have everything one could want or need for a relaxing break away from the stressors of the world - and if you're lucky, you might even see some wildlife grazing in the playground area or wandering through the woods by the river. It's a little paradise on earth. The mountain air, the vast vistas make each day a joy. Can't wait to go back again!

This place is where you want to stay when you are in Jasper. I highly recommend it for 3 reasons or more. Firstly, the staff are very courteous, helpful and friendly. I asked for extra towels and coffee and they delivered it right away. Someone saw my son carrying garbage to dispose and he took the garbage bag from my son. Secondly, my daughter and her 2 young children aged 19 and 7 months were in the playground on July 21, a staff member gave them a ride and told them that there was a grizzly bear roaming around in the area in the morning of July 21 and he brought them to safety. Thirdly, we were booked for 3 nights, July 19 to 22, unfortunately there was a death in the family so we had to check out 1 day early. The front desk staff, sorry I forgot to ask your name, was very kind and compassionate. She (blond and her voice was beautiful, music to my ears) told me that she will reimburse the 1 night we did not stay. To my surprise, they actually delivered what they said. I got a 1 night credit back to my credit card. I am very speechless and so proud that we stayed at your chalet. You did more than expected. I cannot thank you enough, Becker Chalet, for the wonderful and kind things you do for your customers. I will definitely come back highly, highly recommend your place. Kudos to you. My family and I are very very grateful. ️️️

The only flaw was the size of the bathroom (heritage for 3). Otherwise, the cabin and the setting were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back, but next time will book a larger cabin. Staff were excellent-friendly and efficient.

There's nothing fancy about Becker's Chalets but everything you need for an enjoyable get away. The well equipped kitchen was not huge (a little cramped on occasion) but functional. Décor was plain but again, functional and easy to settle into. The property is well situated and the restaurant is a cut above in terms of service and quality. The only real complaint we had is that the cabin we had was way too hot to sleep in comfortably. Every window in the place was open and even then it was not pleasant.
Well worth the stay overall.

The location is exceptional and a 10 minute drive from Jasper town. The environment was relaxing and a perfect getaway. The only feedback is that every room had a sofa bed but this was not advertised. (Sofa beds were big enough for two people). We were told that you had to pay extra to get a "hide-a-bed". Because of this, we could not plan the number of cabins properly for our group of 10 people and ended up booking another cabin when we checked-in. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We loved the room and the location. I had always wanted to stay there, and now we have! Our (heritage) cabin was lovely and my 8 year old son loved it. The unit is near the highway, but that was really not an issue at all - we live in a city and it is much quieter than the city. The weather was very hot (maybe hottest on record nearly), but with windows open, there was a nice breeze through the cabin and it was comfortable. Overall, we liked our stay very much.

Beckers is amazing! Their staff treat you like family and their services are excellent. The cabins are clean and beautiful, the surroundings are picturesque and magical, and the food at the restaurant is some of the best I've ever had. I loved the special weekend I spent there with my family, and I will be returning on a regular basis to this gorgeous spot. Thank you Beckers!

We have stayed at Becker's several times over the past 9 years and have really enjoyed it every time. We love being close to the river and the mountain views are spectacular. The cabins are always very clean, the beds are comfy and the service is excellent. It is our favourite place to stay in Jasper! A few times we've had to stay somewhere else if it was booked up when we were travelling, but it's always our preference to stay at Beckers if possible.

We made friends with the local wildlife. Staff was wonderful, even though I'm GF the restaurant was great to. We love it so much we stayed a extra night. And would have stayed longer if we didn't have prior commitments at home. Thank to all the staff for their contribution to our wonderful experience.

Summer 2021 I stayed in a one bedroom cabin at Beckers. Because there were two single adults, the sofa pullout bed was included in our booking. When I climbed into bed at 11: 30pm, I was disgusted to find stained sheets and a bed full of cracker crumbs. Even without a pandemic! When I approached staff at the front desk, I was ignored while three women did paperwork and chatted. When I interrupted their conversation and shared how disappointed I was and asked for my sheets to be changed, one woman implied that dirty sheets were my fault because I couldn't have reserved the pull out. After checking her records she confirmed that the sofa had been reserved but staff wouldn't change the dirty linen because of the concern of covid, the woman explained at great length. Nice to know Beckers cares about their staff but I would be more at ease if customers received the same high expectations of health protocols at all times but even more so during Covid. As a paying customer, I expect rooms to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between customers. Someone from housekeeping came to the door with sheets then returned later in the day to drop off pillowcases and a blanket INSIDE the cabin. What happened to "couldn't enter to make the bed? " We were also overcharged with a promise that a refund would be received at the end of day. Still waiting 5 days later. 0 stars for front desk

Despite my disappointment, frustration and a 'spoiled day' feeling, I need to say the restaurant served excellent food, had great servers. Grounds are lovely.

We stayed in cabin 26 that was the worst experience water stink and cabin itself. We used bottled water to drink and preparing formula for babies. Next day after my complaint they moved us to deluxe cabin that was clean and smell fresh.

Beckers is our favourite place to stay when we are in Jasper. Although not in town we had dinner delivered one night from town and found that convenient and easy way to be able to enjoy a beverage or two with dinner without the worry of who would drive.we stayed in a deluxe chalet and it is very well appointed for cooking and eating breakfast on site. I saw someone have a BBQ delivered to cook dinner one night. Sitting at end of da busy day in the Adirondack chairs facing the river is a real great way to wind down.

It was really an excellent stay! And we really did enjoy room 78. I think that would definitely be ur choice.
The meal at the restaurant was really delicious and we will for sure eat there again.
A couple of things, it would be great to have a decent kettle and one that switches itself off! And the sofa is really pretty hard and uncomfortable to sit on.
Other than that it was wonderful

We have stayed at Becker cabins twice and each time we were impressed with the spacious cabins. They are well stocked with necessities and are clean and comfortable. I love that they are not in downtown Jasper but a short drive away. The vista of the river and mountains is breath taking and I would suggest for a treat the gourmet cuisine of this local restaurant.

I can’t say enough great things about Becker’s Chalets! The grounds were beautiful, the staff was friendly, and while we only ate breakfast once at the restaurant on site, it was fast and delicious. Our chalet was clean, well organized, and had everything we needed in the kitchen, as well as extra pillows and blankets in each room, plus fans. Those came in handy as it was hot in one room. The beds were comfy! We were there mid week and even though we saw others walking around, it was quiet and peaceful. We had two young kids under 5 with us and they keep saying it was the best vacation ever! We will absolutely be back.

Have stayed at Becker's numerous times over the past 20 years and it never disappoints. Lovely location on the banks of the Athabasca River, just a 8 minute drive from Jasper townsite. Quiet and unassuming. Cabins are well kept and very clean. Super, caring staff too.

This was a very cute resort with very nice cabins and reasonable prices. They don’t have A/C, so it was a bit hot during the day, but things cool off by nighttime. (And almost everywhere is hot when it’s 40 out). Would definitely stay here again!

It's quite peaceful. I loved the cabin. Everything was great from service to rooms. I actually moved my reservation and they were really helpful in adjusting my dates. The rooms were cozy, the view was great, I liked the flowing river by the side. I will definitely live here again on my next visit.

Beautiful location, a bit removed from the town of Jasper right on the Athabasca River. Room was a bit hot and stuffy but really clean and spacious. I would recommend getting a separate cabin type room and not those first and second floor for convenience of getting outside. Nice walk right from the chalets. Wapiti trail is about 5kms to the bridge and back. The staff are friendly enough, not anything extra.

This is an incredible property! Got to stay here during the long May weekend. Our cabin was right in front of the river and the view was just spectacular and breathtaking! Also got to sample the dinner from the in-house restaurant and elk and the tenderloin was oh so good!

If there's anything to be nitpicky about... Don't expect to get a good signal here. Then again, you shouldn't be working while you're here. Instead, you should sit back, relax and enjoy the view!

UPDATE:

I realized a day later getting back home that I left my pillow in our room I called these guys to arrange if they can send it back to me and that I’ll cover the cost. Lo and behold, I get my pillow the next day and they even covered the cost. A+ class service here. Will definitely be back again!

What can I say? The layout of the place, the scenic areas and close to hearing and seeing the river. Great place for families and couples. Will go again, also big respect for the team being for being friendly and really proactive

Perfect cozy spacious chalets! It has a small kitchenette which had everything you needed to make a meal, so you could plan your meals ahead. There is also a nice restaurant. The place has well maintained, clean and peaceful surroundings. We woke up in the mornings to the sight of white tailed deers grazing. It was so relaxing to watch some families barbeque or play in the central ground during the evenings or take a relaxing stroll by the river banks. The upper cabins had more better views of the snow capped mountains. The only negative thing we could point out was the poor WiFi speed which may be a concern for many who are working remotely during these covid times. We enjoyed our days spent here and look forward to visiting again soon.

We had a great time in Jasper and staying at Becker's Chalet. They were quick to respond to our initial request for a booking and answer any questions we had leading up to our stay. The grounds were well kept and clean. Lots of places to sit and enjoy our surroundings. They have installed a new playground in the center of the grounds for easy access. Our chalet was ready and clean upon arrival. Check in was easy and quick. We had plenty of linens and towels. Although due to restrictions they were unable to come in during our stay to tidy, we didn't feel it was necessary and we were able to easily get things like toilet paper etc upon request. The set up inside the chalet was perfect and cozy. We cooked all of our own meals and appreciated the oven, microwave and fridge. Our only complaint would be to have a few more cooking appliances ie.electric frying pan, baking pans but we will bring those with us next time as we realize they can't stock everything to please everyone. The dishes, glasses, mugs, water jug, cookie sheets etc were appreciated. We loved having the deck to sit out on. We liked being able to rent a bbq and have access to the ice vending machine. The location is great, close to town and many other places we wanted to see and hikes and walks to go on. Definitely a great place for families large and small. Thank you Beckers for wonderful time. We'll be back.
