Beddington Trail Animal Hospital

I went to them specifically about my dogs anti seizure medications. They told me they would be able to order the correct dosage and meds. When I arrived, I noticed they had order the wrong thing. The doctor then proceeded to tell me the medication was discontinued.and so did the Vet Tech.but then the owner came out and told me they simply couldnt order it because it was out of stock. Did i mention the Vet had no idea they ordered the wrong one also? The owner told him he had ordered to medication. Pretty shady eh?
Owner then started getting mad at me when i asked him to solve the issue for me. He literally said "what do you want us to do.call 100 clinics for you? " He was not willing to do anything. I had to take two hours off work while he argued with me how they didnt do anything wrong.and I was the one who had to ask if there was another drug we could use since the one they offered didnt work. OHHH and to top it all off. I had to pay up front! For a service that was never provided.and he never ever offered any compensantion.
Now i have to work from home or take a whole week to monitor my dog on the new meds.
Overall.not fun at all and itll cost you way more in the end!

Friendly honest and caring every time we’ve been. Had to use 24 hour vet recently and the difference was night and day. Highly recommend Beddington. Even my dog could sense he was in a better place. He was literally half as anxious. Shout out to Dr Sharma.

Staff is always kind. I called in for them to take in my dog for his allergy injection and they were able to bring me in that afternoon!

We have been taking our chihuahua here for the past 3 years. Last week she went in for her annual shots and check up. Even though she’s never happy at Beddington Trail Vet we know she’s getting the care needed. All my questions were answered. Great prices too! Thanks!

I was refered to this clinic and I am sure happy that I decided to give them a try. I have now been here about 4x, the vets, techs and front end staff are great. I can now afford to keep my dog healthy.

Great veterinary office. I have been taking my dog there for many years and they have been so kind. My dog is elderly now and I asked them not to examine her mouth as she’s lost most of her teeth and they listened and were very gentle with her.
I would definitely recommend to anyone. Plus the prices are very affordable.

Completely impressed with this clinic owned by locals who treat you right. Recently I had my two dogs teeth cleaned not only did they do a great job they did not have to do everything they thought they might have to and the bill was LESS than what they quoted. Never had that happen before.

I've been given the best service at beddington without being gauged in the pocket and my dogs are the loves of my life. I looked Beddington up, they had great reviews and I was very happy. Please don't let anyone scare you into using the more expensive vets. I am very happy to give this clinic an excellent review.

My little old dog was treated gently by Dr. Sandhu, who phoned me with the test results. The cost of the exam, test and meds was very reasonable. It’s good to have a locally owned and operated Vet. Clinic which concentrates on its clients without frills and ‘extras’ which other clinics deem important but which make their fees so exorbitant for the average pet owner.

Great pricing but there's a reason it's so cheap. Dr. Atal Bahadur and staff aren't great. Dr. Atal was scared of my dog and even ran away a few times from her barking. It was a big ordeal getting shots for my dog. I get that she's scary but I thought that's what they were trained for. The staff kept calling referring to her as a male even though she was a female dog. Great pricing though.

The staff are amazing here and have great expertise with animals. The dogs I seen come out of here are always happy as well as their owners!

Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, they explain everything and really care about the animals they see!

Our vet explains everything and lays out the options for us, no pressure for expensive procedures or pressure to spend a lot of money unlike other vets I have experience with.

Update: a few years ago they changed most of the vets, my favourite vet Dr. Varsek left and I didn't have a good experience after that. I no longer go to this clinic because they were pushy and I couldn't understand what they were saying or why my dog needed so many shots randomly.

We are new in Calgary, so i didn't know any vet here. Our dog was sick and I took her to this location. The vet was very nice, didn't try to push me to do unnecessary procedures or upsell. He gave me treatment options and let me choose. My dog got 3 medications and I paid less than $150 for everything. I was very pleased with the doctor, the treatment and the price. I would definitely recommend this vet!

I've never in my life met a group of this many incopmitent, ignorant, unprofessional money hungry people in my life. I will be staying far far away from this vet and would recommend you do the same.

Beddington Trail Animal Hospital is simply great! We were looking for a complicated teeth cleaning for our dog and this hospital was the only one where we got a clear pricing policy and with upfront estimation. Unlike a few other places, they explained the pricing in details and charged exactly as it was communicated earlier. After the surgery, the dog recovered very quickly, without any after effect.

Staff is very friendly and they are here to help. They treat humans and pets nicely. Thank you so much, you are the best!

Update: they just called to complain about my honest review. I told them that they f'd up when doing his xrays and I had already told them why I was unhappy before I left this review but they wouldn't redo his xrays properly a third time even though they got it wrong the first 2 times.

Will never be taking any of our dogs back here. We took one of our dogs in for a dental surgery, found out they didn't do an x-ray of the entire mouth like they're supposed to meaning they missed crucial stuff below the gums and teeth that should've been extracted which left him with the mouth infection. They agreed to redo the x-rays and surgery so we took him back in and they only did x-rays of one tooth and didn't touch the rest. Very unprofessional and incompetent place. Avoid at all costs.

I have been going to this vet for over 13 years. I have had number of dogs and they have treated them all great. When they had passed they took their remains rhey were very kind and caring. I have had 5 dogs and because of them they had lived passed their expected life's and I believe it's because of them. They are a lot cheaper than a lot of other vets. I have compared and for the regular shots they can be at least $100 cheaper. Highly recommended.

Took my puppies in for second shots and this place is so awesome and friendly.very knowledgeable and I will def. Be back because my pups didn't yelp or anything during their visit. The pups loved the staff and everyone else their.

We were very pleased with the care our Bella received at Beddington Trail Animal Hospital. Our appointment was right on time and the vet did a very thorough check and answered all our questions patiently. Explaining each option available and what each option would involve as well as what it would cost.

Our annual visits are a breeze with the friendly staff and doctors. Prices are great. I recommended Beddington Trail Animal Hospital to my family and now they go there as well.

I went to get teeth cleaning for my puppy. The vet told me would be $400 and a blood test had to be done which results were fine. I show up for the appt. And the paper they want me to sign says $500. I told them that I was advised the amount was $400. They said nothing marked down on the records and the one vet showed me a paper that prices went up end of last year. I said that could be but I was here a couple months ago this year! I had to wait for call back from the vet at 9 am. He said it is $500 and could get up to $600. Told him he quoted me $400. Apparently he didn't have anything written down about our conversation. Was extremely disappointed with this. Only hope in the future they will be more precise with their amounts they are charging!

So far I'm really happy with this Vet Clinic. I have been able to get appointments fast, get friendly service and feel they actually listen to my concerns. Plus their price are way less than my last Vet. Wish they were actually in Airdrie, but are close since they in north Calgary, only about a 20 minute drive.

I had been going to this vet on and off for the last two years with my newest dog. This vet was cheaper than a few others I’ve been to so even though their people skills weren’t great and I didn’t feel overly cared for, I continued to return. They did the minimum but I didn’t feel like they cared to take the time to explain things in more depth or provide recommendations for different things like other vets I currently go to.

So my youngest had a run in with a porcupine about a week ago. It was about 0900am in the morning and I called here right after the incident happened. I explained what had happened and asked if there was any chance they could get us in this morning to have them removed. The receptionist put me on hold and then came back saying they could get us in at 10am. The receptionist also asked me if my dog had eaten this morning. I replied that she had not eaten breakfast but she has had some treats as we were on a walk. I was still told to come in for 10.

I came in for about 20 minutes to 10 as I just wanted to get her treated as soon as possible. A female vet came into the room and asked a series of questions one of them being if she had eaten this morning. I answered the same way as on the phone - she has not eaten breakfast but she has had some treats on the walk. The vet apprehensively looked over my dog (I can understand being apprehensive and careful around the quills) but this vet never really seemed comfortable with my girl even when she was a baby. She’s very wiggly and can be overly friendly. The vet left and then returned shortly after with another vet (and the owner I presume). The owner then says “Be honest, has she eaten anything this morning” I reply with, “I’ve been completely honest this whole time, I’ve said this twice already, once on the phone and just now- she has had some treats but has not eaten breakfast”.

The new vet/owner advised that because she had eaten something they cannot remove the quills due to safety concerns. I had the option to wait 4-6hours for the small amount of treats to digest and then come back OR I could go to an emergency vet or another vet who maybe be able to perform the procedure sooner. They said they were booked with surgeries today and did not have time to partially sedate with a feeding tube. I asked them what would be best for her in which they advised to go to another vet.
*Sigh* I’m currently very annoyed as to why they even booked me in as an appointment already knowing that she had had treats this morning and they could not do anything for her until many hours from now.

The owner provided the name of his ‘sister vet’ who happened to have room to perform the surgery today. Although I was appreciative of that as emergency vets are stupidly expensive, he was still trying to get more business from me.
I voiced to him that I was upset that it was not communicated over the phone that they couldn’t do anything for us at this time. Coming here for an appointment was a waste of time and money. Someone could have easily mentioned over the phone for me to try another vet rather than having my girl sit longer with quills in her face. I was completely honest the whole time about her eating treats yet for some reason, they still booked me in. I voiced that not only do we now have to drive to a different clinic, I have to pay a bill here for your service of telling me “go somewhere else”. I was very polite while explaining my frustrations. I was not rude or yelling but the owner kept saying “I don’t know what to tell you” “I’ve gone above and beyond for you” and didn’t want to speak to me further or listen to my concerns. So all in all, I will not be back again and I do not recommend you use them as your regular vet.

If i could give no stars i would. The practice manager/ owner has been exceptionally rude to me each time i have visited - (for paperwork to travel with my service dog). I arrived this morning at the time given by the practice via email (before 9 am).
He said he couldnt do the paperwork until after 9, i explained that my CFIA appointment was at 9, he then proceeded to shout at me and say i was being difficult. He then went on to ask personal questions about my travel and said it was the last time he would complete paperwork for me, trust me, we are both in agreement about that - he wont get another cent from me!
Shocking way to treat a person and paying customer!

The staff are caring and personable. The vets are thorough, knowledgeable and showed genuine kindness to our pets. There was no long waiting like we have had at other places. So glad we found the Beddington Trail Vets. We are very satisfied and wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Great caring service from the receptionist to the Vet. My dog felt at ease and I felt the Vet took her time to speak with me and understand my dog’s needs.
