Was not able to put a Negative number as far as rating, I would have! The worst company to do ANY business with. Horrible workmanship. If they would work as hard as the many breaks they take, maybe they could accomplished something. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY PERSON THAT WANTS QUALITY WORK PERFORMED! They finish nothing! I followed up with Sandee at Belfor. WOW… VERY unprofessional Adult! When companies receive BAD reviews they want to make the general public think they have no account with you or your spouse. Sandee did nothing but LIE her way out. Karma will strike hard! Once again, I’m saving you as the consumer headaches if you use this company.

We’ve used Belfor for almost two years now. They do amazing work and in a timely fashion. We have used Nikita for all of our projects! She’s amazing, professional and very accommodating. Couldn’t ask for a better PM to work with. She’s the one you want helping you through these unforeseen events.

TD insurance uses them for some unknown reason. We had a guy come in 3-4 weeks ago to estimate what was needed to be done and he did not provide a quote of any kind. Now we had to have the work done out of pocket because we had raw sewage backing up into our basement. And now Belfor wants to come back and give an estimate on the work remaining to be done.

Please DO NOT hire this business.

We contacted Belfor to assist with removing damaged material following a flood at a property we own near Lethbridge, Alberta. The workers did not show up when they said they would, would only work a few hours and then leave the site and took over 3 weeks to complete a 3 or 4 day job. The workers left behind personal garbage on site, gave shocking advice on asbestos mitigation ('just play dumb and put it in a bag'). We wasted a lot of time waiting for them to show up to the site.

To add to this, Belfor then outrageously overcharged us. Their estimate of # of hours on site was nearly TRIPLE what it should have been. We can understand adding extra time for travel/dump runs/preparation/etc.but there were more than $2500 in over-charges. We argued about the bill for some time and then finally they charged the credit card number they had for us without confirming first. If you have hired them CHECK YOUR BILL.

Overhead staff would return my calls but not act on my requests for weeks on end. Eventually we finished the job on our own as they left the site a complete mess (see attached photo). We are going to report them to the Better Business Bureau- lots of mis-management here.

Please hire someone else!

We had significant water damage in a bedroom below a bathtub which had a faulty drain. The water damage caused significant water soaking of the ceiling, room walls, bed mattress and caused damage to our solid wood bed. What a mess! We were very concerned with the extend of the water damage and if the bedroom and including the ceiling could be restored to its original condition. Beflor Property Restoration immediately came and removed all the water damaged areas and told us to get rid of the water soaked mattress and they immediately installed a number of powerful drying fans for a few days to prevent any mold from starting. They were able to completely restore the entire room to its originally condition which we were very happy with. But most of all we were thoroughly impressed with the entire Belfor team including the management and all the different groups of people that came to work in our house. I have worked with many service companies but have never seen such an excellent service company in action. For every step of the restoration project, they was always excellent communication through phone calls and texts with the management and the workers so we were informed at every step of the restoration project. Every Belfor worker was extremely careful in protecting our floors and walls while they were carrying in a lot of equipment and removing all the damaged garbage. They were always trying to do the best job. Every worker represented Belfor with the highest level of professionalism. I did not have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the original workers but I did spend some time with a gentlemen named Eric. He was truly a very highly skilled professional Belfor employee who made sure that his work was completed with the highest level of quality and care. It was a pleasure to talk to him and see him work at his trade. In conclusion, it is obvious from our restoration project that Belfor's management has developed an excellent complete team which is totally committed to provide the client with the best possible service with superb final results. I strongly would recommend hiring Belfor for any restoration project.

Unorganized and unprofessional. After a house flood I used Belfor for my pack out and storage of my belongings. When creating the lists or restorable non-restorable content Belfor missed documenting over 100 items I owed. I talked to them they went and re-took photographs and were then missing 50 different items that originally were there. Met in person, after two hours I still did not have the necessary information. Manager took no accountability and raised his voice at me. I wound up moving my stuff to another facility, after a month I was still waiting on a list I was told would be completed within 72 hours

They should get ZERO stars - for STEALING personal property after they were contracted for fire damage. Thousands of dollars of jewellery went missing on their accord. They are thieves! - a consider yourself warned and DO NOT hire this company.

I have had numerous positive interactions with Belfor in Edmonton. They came to inspect a rental property of mine that we suspected might have a mould issue. They were very quick to respond to my request for help, provided awesome service and I found that their workers were really friendly and seemed trustworthy.
Another time, we had a water leakage issue with our hot water tank and the plumber who they sent to help us was super fast and fixed the problem right away. He was even willing to do a follow up with us when we had additional questions.
Really great company from my experiences. I would recommend them anytime.

My insurance company recommended this company for flood damages, now I really regretted this decision its been 5 months. The senior project manager has no principles in customer service, very unprofessional, no organizational skills, no time management skills. Procrastinate so insurance can pay him which is totally fraudulent. He tells the home owner one thing and workers a different a different story. I requested the manager met with me didn't show. He sent the carpenter to do the work without coordinating with the home owner. It was the samething with the movers. The carpenter cut into my subfloor didn't know there was a wire and cut it, it was no fault on his part. Contacted senior manager to replace it which it was because it was covered under insurance. I was ready to pay belfor for them to start the work and noticed electrical tape going into the electrical box and holes in the new electrical wire. Decide to call my insurance company and decide to go with another contractor. Another incident with the senoir contractor is I contacted the main office to have this person contact me because he never returned my calls or ignore the calls understanding their busy however waiting a week to 2 weeks for this person. When office told him to get a hold of me. He contacted me informed me to contact him not the office. Now this individual is procrastinating to provide the insurance company with a final quote, so I can hire this new contractor. The senoir project manager is Mike mcgale which I have been dealing with for five months. The carpenter, movers, the staff conducting the drying of the basement awesome give them + 10 rating.mike mcgale I would give a -10 rating

Belfor Edmonton was the restoration company that was assigned by my insurance company after I dropped a 5Gal pail of red paint down my stairs. Our project manager was amazing. He was very professional and had everything repaired and replaced so fast. I would highly recommend Belfor!

Belfor Edmonton completed restoration work for me after I discovered water seepage and mould growth in my basement. My carpet needed to be removed, as well as the tiles underneath that were all mouldy. As it turned out, the old tiles contained asbestos and needed removal as well. At the time, this felt very stressful and I was really worried about damage and costs. The project manager, Marshall, totally put my mind at ease and explained the restoration process to me clearly, and made himself available anytime I had questions for him. All my phone calls and emails were returned promptly. When he came to do the initial assessment, he was very professional and showed genuine care and concern for my situation. He even looked into some costs for replacement materials so I could get the best prices possible. He estimated two days to complete the abatement, and finished it in only one.

I would recommend Marshall, and Belfor, to anyone needing restoration work completed. You will be in good hands!

Belfor was assigned to my water damage claim. They lied and cut corners with the rebuild, spraying new texture in half of our ceiling and overspraying the rest of the ceiling leaving us with an obnoxious line across the ceiling. They didn't poly off the walls and now they are covered in drywall dust. They sprayed texture up inside of an outside access. They left drywall/texture footprints all over my front walk/cement pad that will need to be pressure washed off. Not impressed and not accountable for their actions.

We called Belfor for a water damage cleanup. Within hours of calling Belfor they had everything getting taken care of. Nikita and Tara were amazing to deal with, I couldn't have asked for a better experiance. They were both very professional and accommoding.
Thank you both for such wonderful service.
I would highly recommend Belfor.

They call themselves the professionals but i don't think the know the simple meaning of professionalism.

I dont normally write reviews but thought it was necessary to give feedback here. Their response was very unprofessional. The workers have no communication with each other. One tells you one thing then someone else says another. With many conversations they weren't open and honest about what was going to happen and all around just felt uneasy around them the entire time. Definitely would not recommend them.

Do yourself a favor and find someone else to do your work.had a horrible experience and then ghosted after their mistakes Greg and Mike in Edmonton are terrible to deal with.avoid this company

Our insurance company recommended them as well when we're had a fire in the basement. Scott was the manager of the crew sent in. We voiced many concerns which were ignored. After we moved back in the house myself my wife, both kids and dog got sick. An inspection was completed by a third party and found smoke damage in the walls, vents and floors. We gave belfor another chance (pressures from insurance, which wad a big mistake) they sent the commercial crew in which fixed 90 % of the problems then they walked!
Do your research before you go with the company insurance recommends!
As lot of these stories sound very familiar as our items were also brought back dirty and had to be sent back twice!

Belfor was the company my insurance company assigned for our contents claim after our house fire in June. I was uneasy from the beginning as the reviews of a company sometimes speak volumes. I met with my project manager Dennis and his supervisor Ann, they were professional and pleasant so I felt alot better. Ann gave me a rough idea of what would be salvaged and cleaned and what would be an NR so I could start purchasing replacement items for my new home. I also found out they are able to reproduce any art that is damaged. I had a few pieces in my home that belonged to my late mother that are very sentimental. Overall the first meeting was great. After a week, I had gone to the house to collect some items they were not allowed to touch (bb gun, medications etc). I met the team working at my house. They seemed friendly enough. I returned back to the house later that week for an update around 4pm after work and to my surprise no one was there - I was told the team was supposed to be there until 5pm Monday to Friday. No big deal, I let myself in to look around at the progress and that's when I noticed 2 things that did not sit well with me. 1) MY HOUSE WAS UNLOCKED ON A FRIDAY. With majority of my belongings still in the house! With no neighbors on either side, no neighbors behind, my house wasnt even being watched! It would have been unlocked all weekend if I did not stop by. 2) They were playing with my scrapbooking stamps.unprofessional to say the least. They are supposed to be packing our stuff not playing with it. I placed their "art" at the front door so they knew I saw it and locked up. I called Dennis to let him know the house was unlocked and he basically said they are humans and make mistakes. Fair enough. Time rolls on and Dennis and I do a walk through to ensure they grabbed everything.they missed a container of belongings and again the house was unlocked. Twice? ! Thankfully most of my stuff was gone. However not securing the building puts his team at risk for people entering and sleeping in the structure. Fast forward a month.they were amazing at getting my belongings cleaned and brought back to me.except that they lost a crate so my house was coming in 2 shipments now. I was understanding. For the most part belongings were packed well and only a few items damaged due to poor packing which they compensated after I had asked and followed up for around a month. They tried to say they would NR the items so insurance would pay, but I said no that's not due to the fire it's due to poor packing. But this is when they started ignoring my emails, phone calls etc. I didnt know I was getting stuff returned to me from page the cleaner and glenora gallery. I was home thankfully. The only way I would get a reply from Dennis is when I Cc'd my insurance adjuster in on emails. So overall, they do their job well.but be annoyingly diligent on following up or you may never know what's happening. This is my life and they treated me with a lack of respect at the end of the process.even after I was understanding of all their mistakes. It's a stressful situation to lose our home from a negligent neighbor but I was very understanding of everything, relatively patient when I was stressed to the max. The biggest thing they should improve on is communicating with their clients. We paid over 30k to have them go in our home. I would never want their job as it's hard, but it's also not hard to lock 2 doors in a duplex and reply to emails.

When I went to this facility I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. What I did find when I went inside was a highly organized clean and crisp environment.

The staff are always professional and welcoming and on top of that they provide training for people in the field as well.

One of the more impressive fixtures in the facility were permanent mini-house set up for training purposes for those that are in the insurance industry. It represented the situations one encounters in the field regularly.

Belfor has presented itself well in this circumstance, and dealing with them to date has never been an issue of any form whatsoever and the customer service rendered has always been exemplary.

I would have no issue using or recommending Belfor to others.
