Bellevue Underground Mine

Didn't have time to go on the mine tour but would have liked to. Staff very knowledgeable, small gift shop also.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I visited few other underground coals before and this one doesn't offer much. You don't really go underground, you enter only a tunnel which is carved into a mountain, you stay at the same level.there are not many exhibitions/objects to see. The tour guide was great though.

BRING WARM CLOTHES it's zero degrees down there from what we were told. We did not dress for this and had a 2 year old in tow so we weren't able to actually do the mine tour (an hr in zero degrees with a 2 year old and no one dressed properly did not sound like a good time). I have a feeling that when I actually do the tour i will change this to a higher rating.

It was fantastic, different than Atlas, as Atlas is more a tour of production. But going into the cold damp mine here was an experience I enjoyed alot.

Wow! Such an amazing experience. You can expect to spend an hour in the mine. It is cold down there, so bring a jacket! The tour guides are super knowledgeable. Ours was the perfect mix of informational and entertaining. Check out the signage inside the check-in station, it's very informational and gives you a good introduction to what you're about to experience.

Great tour! Really interesting history and knowledgeable guides who answered any questions. Family-friendly and unique. Definitely take a tour (and bring a jacket, the mine is chilly)!

What a great experience! Out guide Cole was amazing and very knowledgeable. The mine itself is so interesting to explore. It's very cold inside so pay attention to instructions and dress for 0°C! Cute little gift shop too, we got stickets and a poster! Thanks again for a great experience.

Great stop, tour guide was very knowledgeable and great for people who are into history. If you are normally a cold person, dress warm. It was around 0°C in the mine when we went.

I came to The Bellevue Mine with a couple of coworkers. We work at the Atlas Coal Mine near Drumheller. As heritage interpreters, we thought we knew all there was to know about coal mining. Boy were we wrong. We learned so much on this tour and how different coal mining was in the Crowsnest Pass compared to the Drumheller Valley. Our tour guide, Cole, was so knowledgeable. He was a confident, fascinating guide and gave us so much useful information that will take back to our jobs. He was patient with the little kids, but also with us and our many questions. We had a blast and I will definitely tell everyone to do this tour. It’s fun, exciting and great for people of all ages. Thanks to Cole and the friendly staff at the Bellevue Mine.

Great tour and tour guide Ethan, very good personality for a tour guide let us take pictures and took pictures for us! Definitely recommend for a hot day as the inside is 0° or if your looking for some cool back story

This place is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! Every staff member was kind and inviting and the tour guide was knowledgable and had an answer for every question asked. The tour was engaging and we really enjoyed the gift shop, as well.

The tour guides are knowledgeable locals with ties to the mine. Lots of interesting sites and exhibits. Temperature inside is 1 C and at one point they turn all lights off to demonstrate the darkness, so be prepared for those.

This was an awesome tour. Ethan was a great tour guide. We got alot of information on alot of subjects. It was cold. We dressed for it fortunately. Plus thirty outside and a chilly zero inside the mine. Highly recommended the tour
