After over 20 years, it was time to upgrade my skates. Having been out of the market for so long, my knowledge of the technical details was very limited - I had no idea what was going to work for me. Carl on the sales team spent at least 5 hours helping me through all of my options, learned what could work best for me, an laced up a ridiculous number of skates for me to try on. This guy really knows his stuff and gave me so much more confidence I was taking the best pair for me onto the ice.

A few months later I am very happy with my purchase, and would highly recommend these Bert and Mac's for anyone's hockey gear needs. They'll be the first stop for me moving forward, every time.

Went in to buy a pair of skates for the first time in 12 years. Aiden was super helpful and knowledgeable about all the different skates, he took out 5 pair for me to try to find the right ones, would highly recommend Bert and Mac’s and the staff there.

My family and I went in to look for a new bike for my son, and one for myself. We were helped by Carl, who was very knowledgable in assisting us, and his customer service was top-notch. When it came to myself for looking for a bike he helped me narrow down my options and then suggested we take them out for a spin so I would know for sure which one felt the best. He was personable, knowledgeable and made the experience one I would definitely recommend. We will definitely be back for future purchases.

Had an emergency issue with my son's skates. Wasn't sure if it was covered under warranty - but Gerry took the reigns and informed us he would fix both skates in time for my son's game. He put in extra time and effort to do so. Skates were "as new" after Gerry applied his expertise.
Got a call from management the next week indicating that the company that makes the skates would cover all repairs under warranty.
Everyone went the extra mile for us! Gerry is the man to see in Lethbridge if you have any skate issues.

I went to Bert and Mac’s today for a new helmet, stick and neck guard for my daughter. I got the pleasure of being helped by Carl, it really felt like he went above and beyond to get my daughter properly fitted, he made sure that she was comfortable and that everything was not hurting her in any way. Went in to purchase stick tape and Carl managed to get me into a pair of skates I couldn't leave the store without. He was super knowledgeable, patient and hilarious. Andrew was also great when I was trying to find mitts for my daughter! Unfortunately the box set of gear I wanted wasn't stocked in her size but I wouldn't have found that equipment without Andrew's help. I'll be back to see if her size comes in and to purchase the mitts he got ME to try on I need to go back anyways bc I forgot the stick tape! 11/10 recommend Carl & Andrew if you want a great shopping experience with a few chuckles along the way!

Carl and Rachel were great! This was my first time buying a hockey helmet and they both made sure I found a helmet that fit properly and they showed me how to adjust it for just the right fit. They were both very kind and knowledgeable and Carl took the extra time to go over Visors with me. Thank you to both of them very much! 10/10

Amazing customer service! All of B. C.was out of the Raven ninja my boy desperately wanted for his 11th bday. I emailed Bert and Macs and someone got back to me within hours. Dan was on the search and found what we needed and had it sent out all the way to WHISTLER BC within 24 hours of my email. Amazing customer service, friendly helpful, I can't say enough about this hockey shop and Dan. I will now look like a superhero hockey Mom!? ‍️Thanks guys, I couldn't have done it without you. Highly recommend you go to Bert and Mac’s for all of your ringette/goalie equipment. Jess and Dan were very helpful in sizing my daughter for a goalie blocker.

I bought a bike in May shortly after Covid began. The staff - especially Dan - were extremely gracious and patient and helping me decide which product to buy. It took me a few days of going back and forth from the store before I finally settled on a Talus-2. Overall, I had a superb experience.

Definitely hands down a place you must go if you're considering playing hockey.they have so much gear at great prices and they're very knowledgeable staff.

The staff are great, knowledgeable and do everything they can to help! Called around to other shops to see if I could get my bike in for a tune up and all the other places said they couldn't get me in until the end of July! Called Burt and Macs and they snuck me and finished it within half a day and gave me a deal on the tires i wanted! Would recommend to anyone that they go to but and macs for anything they need

The staff and management at Bert and Mac's are consistently helpful. I have purchased a couple of bikes here and many bike accessories. I have brought in bikes and bike parts for service and repairs many times and have been pleased with the service every time.

Recently I brought my bike in for a repair and when I got it back it had a new problem. I emailed the manager, who arranged to have the bike picked up from my home by one of his staff, corrected the problem, and delivered the bike back to my home, all at no extra charge.

This is what I call going above and beyond expectations, and it goes a long way to building the confidence in knowing that they can take care of my needs.

Good products and good service BUT employees are not wearing masks or social distancing from eachother. The second time I went two different employees almost walked into me! I like that they are providing hand sanitizer and gloves, and requiring customers to wait their turn, wish more places would do this.but what's the point if the employees are not also taking precautions?

Great place to deal with. Come in every year to trade in and trade up kids hockey gear. Excellent quality used hockey gear at good prices and the staff are just great. They make it easy.

The associate I talked to, a bigger guy, was a bit unapproachable and didn't seem to care or have much knowledge concerning vintage street cruisers. That's fine if he didn't know but the attitude wasn't pleasant. I only came in to ask about it as I own this bike and it has this stores decal on it. Other than that, the store looked great and the bikes they have there are awesome
