Kathleen was an absolute blessing to work with and they helped me and my roommate switch providers get new phones and gift cards which we used for PC parts. Easy five stars, needs a raise ASAP.

Waited 30 mins for a sales associate to buy a TV, said there was coming multiple times and no one ever showed up. On top of that I tried to call and there is no way I can because there is no direct line. Horrible customer service, no wonder no one goes there anymore.

Wanted to buy the Pokémon sword DLC from here.they gave me the code for Pokémon shield dlc at the till so spent $40 for DLC that I can’t play because I put the code in and didn’t realize it was for the wrong game until after. Thanks bestbuy! Guess the word sword is way too close to shield

The worst experience ever with cell phone department. Nothing explained just sell sell sell. The savings are not worth it. Dealing with cell company on a return is not made easy.
As now you have to go back and forth.
Between the two.
Get your cell phone from them but don't let them ever sell you the service.

It took me just under 5 hours to get through not only a debit outage, card limit issue, and withdrawal issue, but a picky and expecting taste in PC's to top it off. But the desk clerks and Geek Squad stood strong through it all and we even had a few laughs along the way. Thank you to everyone who stuck through it with me! If you've got Best Buy needs to be fulfilled, this is the place.

Usually I don’t give any review to Best Buy. This is the best Best Buy store I have visited so far. Candice and Jasmine helped me refund 2 products that I purchased from Ontario. Especially Candice, she really cares about customers.

I went in to buy some wireless earbuds and like other reviewers said, it was really hard to find an employee to help me. I went around the store asking for help from 4 different people and none of them were engaging with other customers. The staff were all busy talking to each other. Good products there but the service was so bad. Go somewhere else.

Customer service is awful. They changed their system to automated calls. Which doesn't help me in the slightest. I need to be in contact with a specific store and they told me if that location is open then I have to physically be there in order to be in contact with them.

Had trouble upgrading my phone. I almost had to buy it outright for 1400! But my friend, Michael did some running around and got me a brand new S21 for $40 down. That's a lot less zeros for my wallet. Phone company not giving you answers? Go see Michael for your cellular needs.

Every time I go - they have great customer service! I feel they are helpful instead of trying to upsell me, so that makes me feel more comfortable and trusting. They are just the right amount of helpful without being too distant or clingy.

My mom went to this location today and was treated horribly she spent almost $500 there and was treated like she was stealing. I definitely won’t give this Best Buy my business again. Train your workers to have some customer service and to stop treating indigenous elders this way. I’m so disappointed.

I normally have good experiences at Bestbuys but I went in today to see about upgrading my phone and the little Filipino woman in the cell phone department was about as useless as wet cardboard. She couldn't answer a single question about android phones and when she didn't know the answer she just made up stuff. When it came to my contract she couldn't explain anything properly at all and I ended wasting about 45 mins talking to her before realizing she had explained everything poorly and I had the total wrong idea about what was going to happen if I upgraded.

The staff is friendly, relaxed and helpful.

The inventory is not as good compared to other Bestbuy but you still find 90% of the cool tech stuff you're looking for.

Worst service I’ve received in a retail setting. Cashier didn’t know how to check stock, and stock online was not accurate, even though calling the number directs you to the website. The other employees were just standing around the tills and chatting, not helping at all. Gone are the days of real customer service. Our cashier lazily checked the little cage where they house what we were looking for, verified that they had stock in the system and lazily glanced at the giant pile of games behind her, not actually checking the stacks for the title.

I was here two days in a row. The first time was great. Good service, got lots of advice and suggestions.

The second day, I had no one greet me, I had to search all over the store to find an associate to help me out. I also had questions about financing through fairstone. I got 3 different answers from 3 different people. If you don't know, then ask. They lost a big purchase because my questions weren't answered =

Also, lacking in home products like humidifiers and those sorts of items.

Worst customer service I've experienced for quite a while. I picked out my products and wanted to pay cash. Store only has one cash till. Stood in line for over ten minutes while the employees and customer casually chatted about something? Finally I just left my purchases on the counter and left. Went down the street to London Drugs and actually saved money on the same items! Very disappointed and will not go back.

I am regular customer at this location. I visited this location today and the employees are extremely helpful. Especially a guy named Farooq and a lady named kyle. They are doing fantastic especially in making suggestions to make a sale. Their patients towards crazy customers (like me) is extraordinary. Good job guys.

Got all my appliances and electronics here and was helped by Jason Liu. He was fantastic and provides great customer experience. His knowledge and experience in current technologies and appliances really made our shopping experience at ease. Highly recommend this best buy to any new home owners or those looking to get their new tech gadgets.

I've never had a terrible experience at this location. The customer service desk staff are polite and professional, and maintain a sanitary workspace for themselves and for customers.

That being said, between the floor employees not knowing enough about the products they are selling and some of them trying to convince me to buy the more expensive products for no reason, other than thinking price is relative to quality, I find it extremely necessary to do all of the research into the products I am interested in purchasing on my own. This is not a downtown specific issue, I have had similar experiences in other locations around Edmonton.

I also understand that not being able to call this location is frustrating and inconvenient for everyone, but please keep in mind that although COVID-19 isn't transmitted through talking to a customer service rep over phones, they probably wanted to keep their staff safe and healthy by not relying on people to sanitize the phone after each use. We have to remember that retail workers risk their lives by dealing with the general public and each other in close proximity every day. Would you want to use a phone everyone else has been putting to their face all day, when you can't clean the little mic holes thoroughly? I know I wouldn't.

I had a great experience twice at this location. There is a guy (Rajandeep) he helped me in choosing a best option because i get confused between two different products but he made my views very clear also he had a great knowledge about products.

They have good prices. But don't expect the staff to know much. Every time I go in here to buy something, I know more about the products than the people working here.

Was given terrible advice on what type of case was best to protect my iPhone XR, and while in the case, my iPhone slid less than 2 feet off of my bed onto the floor, and the back glass cracked. This was in an Otterbox Symmetry case, so definitely not a cheap case. Did not buy the iPhone from this location, however, at this location I was told that the Otterbox would be the best protection for my iPhone, and bought the case. Now I have to pay a ridiculous non-refundable deductible, on top of the monthly cost for the Geek Squad protection, which is definitely not worth it considering that I had just gotten my iPhone not even 5 days ago, and it has not left it's case, yet I'm still stuck with the bill. Wouldn't recommend, as paying the extra $13-$14 a month is just a huge scam. Clearly sale associates do not have a grasp of company policies, and product knowledge. Will no longer be shopping at, or recommending any Best Buy locations.

Clean, easy to find the items you're looking for and everyone was very helpful and easy to talk to. Got a TV at an absolute steal and will definitely be returning when I need to upgrade.

If you know anything about technology you can easily if something here is worth it or if it has been majorly marked up (usually is) they have, as you would expect a pretty average selection of PC's, and they always try to push their "geek squad" protection, which will run you way off budget, additionally the workers are always hard to get help from, and it kinda feels like they would rather be in the back texting, that's if they aren't chatting right infront of you when you need to ask a question.

Smallest one I've been too but still had a good selection. There seemed to be quite a lot employees not doing much, just standing near the cashiers. In addition while I was exploring products there was no employee within that department that I could ask questions nor was I approached.

Returned back here and felt very uncomfortable. Kept being harassed by employees in very passive aggressive ways. Constantly being approached, 5 different people in about the span of 8 mins. One lady helped but I felt like I was in North Korea being handled and watched. One woman came into the isle I was browsing, pretending to face products. I have suspicions of prejudice and felt like the guys off the CBC special on Racism did. Quite unprofessional but not surprised.

I purchased an Envy X360 labtop in September of 2019. It was a 256 SSD which came with no pen as it is a touch screen. I was informed that this model in North America does not come with a pen. The new model of X360 does come with all the bells and whistles including this pen and a SSD 528.
All I wanted today was to buy a pen so I can take notes in class tomorrow though instead I had two sales associates arguing with me and told me to go home and look through the box again instead of helping me look up the model and assisting me. I had a gift card and was willing to spend any amount of money to get a pen to take notes.
After coming to this particular location twice to find a pen I will never support best buy again. I'm tired of being told to look online to buy products by sales associates. Tell you what for 15 dollars an hour perhaps some assistance would be awesome.
I'm going to take your advice and look up the pen on Amazon Prime and have it shipped to my house within 24hrs. As for my gift card I'll buy something online as well so I don't have to step foot in your store again.

The service was good all in all the whole place was really good except for the fact that I had bought an expensive Samsung Galaxy Tab and it dropped and the screen cracked and couldn't turn it after so only days since I bought it it broke and I went to return it back to the returns line in best buy. I told them what happened and then they said they couldn't take it back they needed the receipt for it. Ok yes I lost the receipt so I should be able to at least get some kind of store credit or discount on my next purchase for it. I told them even Walmart for crying out loud gave you at least store credit if you dont have a receipt. Nope the employee said he couldn't do a single thing for me. So I asked for manager told him the situation and he was even more rude then the regular employee told me nothing he could do that I basically just had to take a loss. So I believe they should of given me a store credit for the amount of money I spent on the tablet and in the store I'm now un happy and won't spend my money there anymore. I suggest you do the same. Go to walmart there nicer and cheaper to.

I am very pleased with the service I got from a trainee at the geek squad who goes by the name, Nelson. It was a very busy evening for him, but he patiently resolved my issue despite having other customers waiting on him. He attended to customers calmly and with lots of courtesy.

Terrible customer service by the Manager Shauna! I wish I could give a 0 star.
I'm a frequent buyer at this location. So, on boxing day I purchased a lot of items which included a JBL flip 4 speaker that was for $89.99.
I wanted to make an exchange for a Sony speaker I had purchased earlier (had all valid receipts). Yesterday, I went to the West location as the BestBuy app showed that a white JBL flip 4 speaker was available only at that location. I went there but the sales person told me they had none left and when I asked him why the app shows it's available he replied saying mostly it would be stolen. I showed him that the app says it has all colors available at this location and you have none here. He had no reply.
Last night I checked the app again and it showed the JBL flip 4 white speaker was available at the downtown location as well. I went there and found that there was indeed 1 available but it showed a price of $139.99. I asked the sales guy (Kourtney) that could he honour yesterday's price as I was already at a BestBuy location. He said that he couldn't do anything and went to ask the manager (Shauna) on my request. He came and told me that the manager (Shauna) told him that the speaker (JBL FLIP 4 never went on sale) lol! He told me that that manger told me that she could meet you halfway (meaning I had to pay an extra $20 for the same speaker I got for $89.99) I bought a speaker for the sale price on Boxing day.
Also, they had made a clear mistake. The speaker was still displayed for $89.99 despite the price changes. I asked the sales guy that shouldn't you honour the price as it's a mistake from your end that the prices are incorrectly posted. As a customer when you see that product for $89.99 as displayed and when you want to buy it the sales people say that the prices went up and it is now $139.99. Then why is it displayed for $89.99 in the first place.
He was trying to help me but couldn't. I asked him that can I talk to the manager and he walked me over to the cash area and one of the cashiers started processing my transaction. I thought they are honoring the sale price. Later the cashier needed a manager approval so she paged for a manager to come and give an approval. Shauna (the manager) came and rudely told me that I didn't approve this price and lied that the speaker never went on sale. She was willing to sell it to me for some extra amount. I told it's okay I'll just return my sony speaker. As the manager didn't seem to bother about the customer then I didn't want to be that customer who would shop there anymore.
Very poor customer service by the manager. I hope BestBuy looks into this matter. Not happy with this experience!

Best Buy has lots of IT items and PC accessories with empty boxes on display. They let you browse around, sometimes for an hour. When you finally bring the empty box to the cashier, they make you wait some more, just to tell you that the item is out of stock. When you complain, they lie that it just sold out. This happened to me twice in the row less than 24 hours ago; and it happened to me before at the same store.
