Best Western Cedar Park Inn

If you're on a budget, this place is the spot. Breakfast was decent. The pool was the size of a large hot tub.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful! I would like to give a special mention to Hanood who was on Reception duties when we arrived. As a disabled traveler, I was so thankful for his kindness and helpfulness. The food in the restaurant was also excellent, with great service and a wonderful waiter. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. Definitely the best hotel I have stayed in in Edmonton!

Stayed there for two nights…. Was a comfortable stay and very helpful staff especially Robin and Alisha…. I would stay again.

Very clean and quiet, even with a room facing the main street.we didn't hear the traffic at all. Pool was closed for renovation, and breakfast is until 930 am.

The bathroom in the room was very small. The ac in the room did not work, which was uncomfortable for our newborn. The continental breakfast was disappointing. Overall not a great experience we will not be returning.

We stayed one night in this hotel, room was OK but at night I suddenly woke up with sever itching of the side I lied down on the pillow, and in the morning when I saw the mirror I found red and swelling under my eyes. I don't think the bed or pillow was washed properly I am worried whether any bed bug bite me at night, also the breakfast was awful, not much options, lobby area was not air-conditioned was sweating while was on the lobby. Will never stay at this hotel for sure

Unfortunately our experience is not pleasant. Shiruk at the front desk decided to cancel our reservation without confirming to us even though he told us to come back anytime and fix our credit card first then to check-in. His reason is that he already sold the last room to someone which could be the room we reserved for 2 nights. He did not charge us for cancelling because he made the decision himself. Now, we are left looking for hotel last minute. Horrible experience.

A big group of us recently stayed here overnight and used one of their boardrooms for a corporate meeting. Not only was our stay wonderful but our meeting went over perfectly with the help of Tamara and her amazing staff! Our catered lunch was excellent as well and they helped us cap of our meeting with a holiday toast! What a great team!

Staff was not helpful, room was not clean and temperature in the room could not be adjusted. Also no information provided upon check in about available/unavailable amenities. 15 minutes in the room I was ready to go to another hotel.

Absolutely awful experiences. Told pool/gym were available but then told no when we arrived. Restaurant was closed in the mornings even though we were told breakfast was available upon booking. Many broken items in room (phone, remote, coffee maker, fridge). Complained and no remedy was given. Then I was overcharged and when I complained to head office the hotel said we did not complain and that my issues were untrue. Also, I left messages on the manager’s voicemail and my calls were not returned. Since the manager said I was lying I cannot recover my money. So disappointed and upset. I’ve stayed at many best westerns and Will not do that again.

Here it is a month later after posting my last review and also launching a formal complaint upon checkout for several deficiencies on a Sunday morning w/ the promise of a follow up phone call by the manager the next BUSINESS day. Well guess what. Yup. I’m still waiting. My advice again, definitely do Not stay here. I am now forced to escalate my complaint to head office where hopefully it will actually be taken seriously. Once again, if u want customer service and the services promised you, Including a/c, breakfast and a safe place to stay, look elsewhere. DO NOT STAY HERE. PERIOD. FULL STOP.

Fast friendly check in rooms were clean, I loved that we had a room with no carpet beds were OK

Awesome staff, great atmosphere, very respected staff, Robin. The front desk manager is great and respectful, and courteous.if you any issues while staying there get to speak to Robin Bajwa. Rooms are clean!

Room was disgusting, i’ve never felt more uncomfortable at a hotel before. The pictures showed on expedia were not like the room we got. Leftover feces on the toilet lid, food behind the bed, leftover toothpaste in the sink and dead bugs on the wall. My skin was crawling

The reservation line did not communicate well enough to understand where the hotel was located and booked the wrong one
We had great difficulty correcting it. The desk clerk at the one we wanted was very helpful. In future we will not pre-book and will just show up at the one we want.

We were able to check-in early which was greatly appreciated since we had been camping and wanted a shower before our appointment.
Check-in attendant wasn't overly friendly.
Breakfast was a typical heavy breakfast with almost no fruit and no vegetables. Would have appreciated some variety at least. Potatoes were quite good.
Pool had been open by appointment but then it was closed on the last day because of some damage so we were not able to use it.

Everything is in walking distance. We stayed on a weekend and heard a birthday party and a few kids all night long, but the room was clean and comfortable

Horrible. They gave us a room with no AC at first, it was 37 degrees. We booked for a week and when we arrived told us they couldn’t accommodate us. After a lot of negotiation they gave us a place to stay for the night. Now we have to find another place on a busy long weekend. Poor management and saw a few bugs too. Go somewhere else.

Did not receive Best Western twenty dollar loyalty. Stayed two weeks ago 3 nights returned for 4 nights. The hair dryer did not work.

I am leaving this review only because I frequent this hotel periodically for business. I tried to stay here while in town for my son's open heart surgery. I showed up 20 mins before check in time and was told to wait or pay a surcharge. I did not stay at this location this time around and likely will not stay here again because of the service at the front desk. I spend approx 200 nights a year in hotels and a good portion is with Best Western, but will not be at this location moving forward.

Only reason I awarded 2 stars is that I am a Best Western fan and love the chain ad a whole. This experience does not detract from Best Western themselves, but I also wanted to voice my concerns on this specific location.

During my last few stays, I can say this hotel is clean and a comfortable stay, but the front desk attitude has degraded over the last few stays and it is now at a point I will not stay here again.

Sorry for the rant, but for a person who travels for 9 months of the year, the biggest difference in hotels (as long as the place is clean), is the customer service which is lacking here.

Air conditioner wasn't working - it was 26° in the room, so we left. They also knew their AC was broken, but weren't telling people before check-in, which wasn't nice.

On the upside - they did let us check out with no cancellation fee. But we were still left scrambling for another hotel at 11pm too.

This hotel is very nice. For the price, the rooms and amenities are perfectly reasonable. One of the staff in particular is very kind, and actually cares about her service and the guest’s experience. When we arrived for a second stay here, she welcomed us like we were regulars, even though the last time we stayed here was in February. She is always very helpful, and happy. The rest of the staff however (night shift, restaurant) were pretty unpleasant. Just not friendly, and the service was subpar. I asked for a bandaid one night, and the night shift front desk man apparently didn’t have any. He fashioned one out of gauze and regular scotch tape. (when I asked the lovely lady at the desk in the morning, she knew exactly where they were and was happy to give me one.) The restaurant is just okay. I will definitely be staying here again, soley for the price of the hotel, and the friendliness of the one front desk lady.

Unfortunately, the experience for our stay here was subpar, unfriendly, lack of care for guests, safety and security. Some staff were amiable and helpful, but those that deal with check-in and check-out were not present or pleasant. They made few of us sense that we were a burden to their day.

I hope that your ability to work towards a better experience while you check in and out improves.

Also, please commit to enhance security in your parking area with better lighting.

Perfect location at a great price. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast included which is nice during covid as most hotels offer a brown bag breakfast. Will definitely stay here again

I really like it here. The front desk staff are super friendly, the hotel is in a good location, and a few of the rooms I've stayed in have been freshly renovated and are very nice for the price.
I'm staying in the family room this time, it has 2 queen beds and 2 single beds for the kids in a separate room, that is devided by a glass door. Pretty decently priced.
Some of the furniture is in rough shape, but that is minor

The staff are super friendly and the free included breakfast was extremely awesome because it was hot (unlike other BW's I have stayed at during the pandemic) The location is perfect as the hotel is close to Superstore and various restaurants. My only criticism is that the tv channel selection is pretty sparse compared to other hotels I have stayed at.

Elevator is older then dirt. Press a level end up who knows where. Rooms are smelly. Pool acoustics are terrible. Can't even talk to own children when other people are yelling. Looks like place hasn't been updated in years. The toilets don't flush well.

I usually love the Best western and have little or no trouble but this was the exception they TV didn't work nor the telephone, they did get the TV on but it kept loosing its signal and I was unable to call the front desk. When they couldn't get the phone working I wished they would have moved me to another room.

The hotel was amazing Robyn went out of her way to set us up:) she even gave a free upgrade, the pub in the hotel is slow waited 40+ mins for food
which made us late for the Carrie Underwood concert

This hotel has a cool design but no one has kept it up in the last few years. Many areas of the hotel are dilapidated, in disarray, or just obviously not cleaned in potentially years.

We had a group with three rooms and multiple things were broken or unclean in each room. Things like fridges in the rooms, mentioned in the hotel's description, were missing or not working.

The free breakfast was scarily unhygienic, and terribly unorganized. Two days in a row, the adjoining bathrooms to the restaurant area had no soap or hand towels and also looked as though it hadn't been cleaned.

Looking out the window of our room, we could see construction that was left unfinished on the balcony below, wet pink insulation flapping in the wind, a large chunk of the wall by the air conditioner exposed.

The staff we encountered were friendly enough, though when approached with issues like selling features in rooms not being functional or even present they would offer no help or solutions.

I don't know why you're still reading this. It's easy enough to make up your mind at this point. If you're staying here to be close to something like we were, bite the bullet and just stay a little further away. There are many other hotels nearby, and an area ripe with Airbnb's a couple blocks away.

We were satisfied with our overall stay. But i think the roims and the lobby were really outdated. One of the elevator too was not working that time. But we love the factthat it is accessible to different supermarket, retail stores and as well as the airport.

I was very impressed with the staff at the breakfast buffet. The restaurant was absolutely full and 4 servers were constantly bringing out fresh food to keep things full, it was great. Then there was 1 person on the front desk, Robyn, who was absolutely fabulous. We had a small problem and she handled it perfectly. I was extremely impressed and would most definitely be staying there again. Thank-you very much for all that you done for us.

I always stay at the Best Western Cedar when I come into Edmonton. It's a convenient location for me and they accept pets which is a huge huge expectation for me. The hotel is good value for the money the location is great. There isn't a whole lot of green space for the dogs but at least they do take dogs and that's very important to me.

Pet section of hotel is awful. Dirty, stinky, inaccessible with a luggage cart so you have to carry all your belongings up about 10 stairs and down a long hallway. Caulking left on flooring, which is toxic to animals. Floor was dirty and hair dryer was pathetic! Area of city is sketchy too!

Clean rooms, all renovated. Friendly staff. The breakfast was great for a Best Western. They had a pancake maker, waffle makers, selection of yogurts, and sausages and eggs. My only complaint is that they need more fruit.

It has such a great location!:) right by a bunch of restaurants and across from a superstore. The breakfast is free, and the hotel is in a good central location, $20 Uber either way to downtown or west Ed mall.

Everything from staff, to the room, to the free hot breakfast, the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. We will stay here again.

So far so good. Attending this weekend. Good size clean room with very comfortable King beds. Hotel has fitness room and pool. Good breakfast.

The lobby is well set up & it took no time at all to get checked in. There are enough elevators in different parts of the lobby for the different parts of the hotel. The Restaurant was open until 10 PM. The chef did a wonderful job with the meal. The breakfast was available free of charge from 6: 30 AM until 9: 30 AM. The room was large with a large flat screen TV set in a convenient spot. The bed was extremely comfortable. The security lock on the elevator made you feel safe.

The staff was welcoming. Got an upgrade to king size bed. Joined there rewards program.

Con: the floors were attractive. The place needs a facelift in the halls but honestly speaking the room was comfy.

Really enjoyed my stay here! -found on Expedia as we wanted a hotel that was reasonable distance to downtown.
Staff super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, beds really comfortable. Nice that they have a pool and hot buffet breakfast in the morning to enjoy. Prices during the week were not outrageous.
Nice location, very close to downtown and west edmonton mall.
Would defenitly stay here again in ever in Edmonton!

I booked the pet room for my trip from Saskatoon, and I contacted front desk a week before my departure to confirm I can bring my dog in upon arrival. And I double-checked with the front desk two days away from my trip, but then they treated me very rudely and said the pet rooms had already been booked out, me and my dog could Not be checked-in even we arrived there. Unbelievable! Where am I supposed to stay? If the room is already booked out, why not let me know in advance then I can have enough time to make the accommodation.

This hotel won't win the award for newest hotel as it older and you can see it, but don't judge a book by its cover. Has fast friendly service. The rooms were clean and neat. The price was right. Thank You.

Very nice hotel. Extremely hospitable staff. The manager, Jay was very sweet and upgraded us to a king sized bed room since it was our anniversary. They offer free breakfast which is delicious. The property is located in a great location and has most attractions of Edmonton at stone throw distance. Superstore is right across. The rooms have microwaves.

We had a great time at the hotel. Room is clean, staff are very friendly and accomodating, and breakfast is great as usual. The only set back is the pool is being renovated. It was not mentioned on the 3rd party website. Looking forward to staying here again.
