Great stays. We always stay here when visiting Calgary. The kids love the 2 pools. Staff are great and very friendly, from reception to room service.
The only thing that needs improvement is the buffet breakfast. Good selection but not for people who are vegetarian or don't eat pork. There should be a better variety of eggs and non pork items (chicken.).

Very nice clean kept hotel. Very convenient my dad had surgery and appointments at a nearby hospital, Very convenient and nice accommodating service. Also very convenient for any flight so close to yyc Airport. Great place.

This hotel was where I stayed with my family. The sole reason we booked this hotel was for the waterpark, which was fantastic and we had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, that was the only nice aspect of our visit. To begin with, the check-in process was extremely delayed due to an error made by the front desk clerk. I was about to be charged twice until I realized and changed it. When we tried to sleep later that night, the AC was generating a lot of noise. Then we turned off the air conditioning and opened the windows to let in some fresh air. We finally fell asleep around 3 a.m. It was a nightmarish situation. I would still stay at this hotel solely to visit the waterpark and we may stay at a different hotel for the night.

I just thought it would be more up to date. I like modern hotels. Overall, it’s fine and friendly.

This place is the best for families. We've stayed here twice now and the water park is always fun, and also has life jackets which was a huge bonus! The restaurant downstairs has a breakfast $37 buffet for a family of four! Great food, and great staff. We stayed with 3 families and they put all our rooms right beside each other. We also checked in super early because of an early flight and they made it work! All good stuff about this hotel.

My stay at this hotel was great! The staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel was so clean! Beautiful gardens, nice views of the mountains, and great amenities!
The location is good - compared to other airport hotels this one is closer to downtown, but a bit farther from the airport, so it just depends on what you are looking for. The hotel has a free shuttle service to get you back to the airport for your flight, so it is very convenient. Would definitely recommend!

Nice looking hotel. But room was not clean at all, hair on the walls in the shower and hair in the sinks, like alot not one or two like can't miss it from across the room and I had the king suite so can't imagine what the other rooms would look like. These are just the hair pics and not the other stuff we found.

Good place for a one night stay when we first arrived at calgary. Very attentive hotel staff, Waterpark is great add on to the hotel. Very good breakfast.

This is starting off not to a good start. Been waiting for a shuttle for now an hour at the sirport with 3 kids, and they say the driver came. So we are not yet at the hotel and I give a 1 star for the lack of service…

Best Western would like you to know that even though they're broiler for their swimming pool with the two slides and hot tubs is broken, their tv and remotes don't work and bedding is in short supply you are still required to pay full price for your booking and no they will not tell you about the problems even if you ask however complimentary clumps of hair can be found in the pools, bathtubs and bedding. ️

Staying here in great denial that I didn't just clean my bathtub with my hand because of all the hair I found in it before and after the jets were turned on. This is my normal place to stay in Calgary with our huge family and it is usually clean and kept; the employees and management are usually honest and don't try to deceive guests.

Went for their Christmas buffet which was great. Good selection of food very courteous staff a friendly service

We took the kids here for a weekend together, chose this hotel for the water park. It has a toddler pool with a small slide, 2 big waterslides, a larger splash pool, and two hot tubs. It kept my kids ages 5 to 14 entertained for many hours. There is no lifeguard on duty, so it gets a little wild if there are lots of kids there. My brother stayed there Friday night and said it was wall to wall people at the pool, but we stayed Saturday, and Sunday night and there were times we were the only ones there. Had a great time. Thanks Best Western!

Ended up at the BW Port of Call after our connection flights were cancelled. They were very accommodating.

Nice hotel, pool was a little cold and the hot tubs were tepid which was disappointing. The Cabana room was noisy, humid and smelled of chlorine. In our family suite the fireplace did not work and someone had dismantled our telephone so we needed to fix the phone to call the front desk. Ice maker on the first floor was not working. Food from the bar was good as well as the buffet was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

It was pleasure day spending in port O call restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful & friendly.

The main thing that stands out about this hotel compared to other hotels is the Waterpark. It's two Waterpark slides are tons of fun, and I went on them at least a dozen times myself. It has a lot of other facilities such as a a racquet court, gym, exercise pool, and a restaurant within the hotel. It has a nice large lounge area, with pretty comfy chairs. The room itself was clean and well mantained, but the room didn't look as great as the pictures.

We had planned a trip to Calgary and on check in our original hotel didn't work out. The Best Western Port O Call took us in last minute and saved the family trip. The two pool areas were a hit with the children, the room clean and welcoming. The staff and everything about the visit was great. It will definitely become our new 'go to' hotel when visiting Calgary.

My husband and I spent our 5 year anniversary in the honeymoon suite! The staff was amazing, the room was fantastic! We would highly recommend!

Every year we go to this hotel for my daughter birthday. Unfortunately this year, we couldn't make it. The kid pool is amazing. Staffs are very friendly. Ali Ghazanfar was always very accommodate. They also have discounted tickets for the zoo, Callaway park and many other attraction for kids. I highly recommend this hotel if you have kids. Don't forget to ask them for "cooperate discount". I'm looking forward to visit them again.

The buffet was adequate for our purpose. The service was most excellent. I had issue with the handicapped parking. I consulted with the manager. He took my concerns and recommendations seriously. Comped my dinner and offered valet service twice to retrieve my car for me. The wait staff were awesome. Will be having my birthday dinner there for sure.

To begin with, the hotel clearly uses photos that are either from when the hotel was new or very edited (pool area specifically looks nothing like it does on the website). The hotel itself is in an industrial area. It is extremely dated. The rooms all need renovating. The carpet was coming off the floor, pain was peeling, yellow rings around the drains. The pool area is old and dingy, the water in both pool and hottub were very cloudy. The hot tub made my skin tingle like I had swimmers itch. The pool had no capacity limit. It was so packed it was dangerous for kids trying to get out of the way of the slides. Also, next to the kiddie pool smelled of ashtrays people were clearly smoking in the pool side rooms. The restaurant served my son pancakes that weren't cooked, and had batter dripping out of them. The only decent thing about this hotel was the decent plate of nachos from the lounge. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone to stay.

It was ok but don’t think I would stay again. The lounge attached was a little rough in service and don’t like the slots and the crowd they attract. Overall not bad tho.

Our room was nice and clean. Just a heads up. I thought breakfast is included or it says it is a grab and go. Guess I misunderstood. I like booking hotels because I like knowing breakfast are included or at least thinking there would be fresh coffee available. But no free breakfast and no coffee. Guess manager must've forgot to tell me that I have to pay for breakfast. I would've rather send my husband through a drive thru instead of spending $50 on a so so food. I don't mind to pay but make it good food at least. Waitresses are awesome though!

Wonderful hotel with nice rooms, helpful and pleasant staff throughout. Pool staff member in the evenings during our staff was lovely. Breakfast buffet is great and the lounge food was delicious.

The hotel was amazing. Great room. The kids loved the pool. The pizza and the breakfast buffet was top notch. We will definitely stay here again.

Great rooms, an amazing pool, excellent food and wonderful service! The staff was very friendly and did anything and everything they could to help their customers. We will definitely be back again!

Where do I start?
No where to park even though underground secured parking is evident but not offered?
Told to park around the corner in a dark unfenced area, we reluctantly did ensuring we removed all of our belongings.
Was told before we arrived that Best Western offers tier matching for their competitors, never offered.
Told to use the side door to come in with my family, the same side side door with 2 drunk people sitting on the curb and others smoking by the door.
The next morning we opened our room door to leave and immediately someone from house keeping came running up and said “YOU LEAVE NOW!? ! ”, hadn’t checked out yet.
Not asked about our stay on the way out, walked past homeless people panhandling and going through the garbages by the front door.
The next morning we discovered the vehicle beside ours had smashed windows and belongings stolen, maybe they should listen to guests who ask to park near the hotel.
Lots of great hotels in the area, it was lesson and a reminder why I never stay at a Best Western.

I have not been to a Best Western and been disappointed. U pay a little more but they pay attention to details for there standards. No complaints from me

After travelling hours to get here we were starving. Right after check in we went to the restaurant - closed. We went to the bar and were barked at to get out as they didn’t open for another 10 mins - talk about customer service? ! There’s nowhere to eat between 11-3pm even with 2 restaurants.
Jacuzzi room was spacious and relaxing.
Food at the sky harbour at 730am was cold and dried out pancakes, French toast and sausages, Watery eggs, bitter coffee - at $17/pp we would never eat there again - we left hungry!
The water park was dangerously full - kids flying off the slides at peoples heads in the pool. They didn’t seem to care about how many people were in there. They will make a comment about my review in the fact that covid restrictions were lifted and it’s up to the discretion of the customer - we’ll our discretion led us to the downstairs pool off the gym, figuring it would be quieter. We walked through the gym to get to the pool, it was full of large pools of water all over the floor. The pool had 8-10 kids cannonballing off the sides into the pool, no adults to be seen. There were 6 kids in the gym dripping wet in their bathing suits playing with the weight equipment and running on the treadmills.
When we left we seen staff walking and reported the same to him. He said “nobody is in charge of the gym, it closes at night and opens in the morning” and walked away shrugging. We called out tell him that a kid was going ti end up hurt - he didn’t seem to care.
They may have facilities to offer but they don’t care and keep no control on how they operate. We will not be back, nor will we be recommending this hotel to anyone!

Stay was excellent. Loved the racquetball Court and the Waterpark. Also love how there is a second pool in the basement. Looks like it might have been the original pool at some point. Breakfast in the skyharbour restaurant was good too. The hotel is only a couple of blocks away from a mini golf place and a couple of arcade!

Was a great place to take the kids while visiting Calgary! Staff was super friendly, and the kids LOVED playing in the pool.

The hotel is just ok! The rooms were clean but the bathrooms don’t lock! Firstly they were listening my problem and were saying that they will solve it. But now after listening my call they put it on hold and than cut the call. I had also tried to call them again but they don’t answer any of my call. It’s too rude behavior by them.

Awesome waterpark for the kids to enjoy! Room clean and beds were comfy! Buffet breakfast is extra but was delicious!

Water park was the only nice about the hotel & experience! Stay away from the breakfast/ buffet! It’s a trap, even the “fresh” restock of the buffet is old and wet.

This place has an awesome swimming pool that the kids absolutely loved. Hotel wifi was a little slow at times and the in-room movies were ridiculously expensive, but unfortunately, I think $25 is the going rate for a new-ish movie in a hotel room. They had a neat little self-serve coffee bar, but the coffee machine wanted $3 for a little tiny cup. The rooms have coffee that you make yourself for no extra charge, that little coffee bar doesn't need to charge $3 for a cup that you make yourself.

Highly recommend hotel.rooms are clean, and the kids love the water park inside. The staff was extremely helpful and helped us in some very important administration we had to do (not related to our stay).

Tl;Dr, great for families, requires public transportation to get to downtown /stampede areas. Waterpark is indoor, great for kids under 15

Checked it at 10pm after a very long drive. Front desk and room service staff were so accommodating and friendly. Even had parking for our huge Uhaul! Will stay there everytime I'm in Calgary going forward!

Great place to bring the family for a small adventure thanks to the great waterpark on-site! The toddler pool area is brilliant for the littles, and the older kids loved the sides. Service was great and the staff are lovely.

The rooms and beds are serviceable and clean. Lighting was a bit dark, but really, you aren't there for the room!

We ordered the honeymoon suite, the bed was very comfortable. The jacuzzi was super relaxing, the bathroom had a walk-in shower with a large shower head and 4 wall mounted jets. The pool was a nice touch also, my daughter had a blast on the two water slides. The restaurant had a simple, but very well made breakfast option. I will definitely be back!

Fantastic hotel with the best pool we’ve ever seen in a hotel. The staff on the phone booking was phenomenal, as was the staff upon check in. Very friendly and efficient. I also really appreciate that they extended the pool hours because we stayed so soon after the province opened back up and there was a ton of families there to enjoy the pool. I think that was above and beyond and super awesome. The room was comfortable. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because the couch pull out when we opened it had crumbs stuck all over the bottom of it, but it was 11pm when we opened it to go to bed and we weren’t waiting for them to come clean it at that time. Other than that, which wasn’t a big deal, our stay was fantastic and we will absolutely be back!

Our stay at this hotel was AWESOME! Everything from check in to check out was super hospitable and comfortable. The staff were SO great and flexible with pool arrangements and late check out this made our stay the best! The breakfast was a large portion with great service and pool has 2 slides and was super fun for our kids! Our room even had a balcony which was a nice additional feature for our family. I would highly recommend this place for a great family stay! I am definitely bookmarking this one if we need to ever go back to Calgary!

Booked three weeks earlier before travel date booked two rooms for two night and had 2 pool times booked. Cancelled one room as we downsized and only needed the one and one pool time. Called a couple days before check in to confirm the reservation details and it was cancelled for both nights of pool time. The staff was super accommodating as they over booked and made sure we got a slot in during our stay. Not to mention a discount on our stay for the error. At the price point for the hotel room and the pool you can’t complain but it was greatly appreciated that they went above and beyond my expectations. This is not my first stay here with my family and it definitely will not be the last: the pool is great for kids and adults. I went down a water slide for the first time in 15 years! The pool is heated which makes it even better! During the swim time there was a staff member who was cleaning and mopping and it was appreciated. Life jackets are available should you require them. Port O Call thank you again for another amazing stay! Oh- one last thing, 4 minute drive to a strip mall with Starbucks and Tim’s.the shell and McDonald’s was 24hr. So convenient!

Great pool for all ages. Complementary breakfast was delicious. Friendly check in staff.
Only possible improvement area is that the beds a bit soft and we had sore backs in the morning.

Clean room, had room 244 with sliding door to access to balcony, was a nice touch, plus the heated floor to bathroom.
Enjoyed our time here, we loved the water slide and pool area with our 4year old son.
Pool area were staggered times and 2 families per time slot.
Breakfast options were basic, the large standard breakfasts were not to our taste but staff were happy to accommodate us with another varient. Would def stay again. Staff were super friendly.

Under COVID protocol and this place was super clean! Plus they have a indoor water park that we had to ourselves for 45min under COVID booking at front desk. Safe parking under ground. Easy to drive to any mall or restaurant close by, or just eat at the restaurant in the hotel! We had a blast with our "staycation" and you should come check them out!

We had just recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Port O Call Hotel. We booked a room here so we could get access to the water park for 45 min. The pool area was very clean and there was someone there who cleaned in between each session. I watch her wipe down all the touch points. You have to hand sanitize prior to entering. There are not change rooms. Just washrooms. They provided towels down at the pool. The water park was very clean and the water temp was warm. My kids had a great time. There is a little play area for younger kids with a little water slide. The larger pool area has 2 water slides and there is one hot tub. The time is a little short but they do a through clean in between.

The hotel room was pretty standard. 2 queen beds with microwave and fridge. Beds were very comfortable and there is a Tim Hortons right across the street. There are no restaurants in the hotel so we order food outside and had it delivered. Overall it was a very good little staycation.

Called before I booked to confirm we were able to swim on the day we checked in and the day we checked out. The lady confirmed we could swim both days. Upon check in, I was told they only allow one swim time per stay and we are only allowed to swim on check in day. So disappointed. I would have spent my money elsewhere since every other hotel allows swim times on both days.

Great place for kids! There was a smaller shallow warm pool with a slide for our little girls. The waterslides were amazing. Underground parking was a bonus. Only downside was 1 slide was broken for a day and room service was pricey.

Had a short stay at the Port-O-Call Best Western in Calgary. Must say that I am always impressed with the staff at all locations that I visit in Alberta. On this visit Ashley was very personable, pleasant and professional. They always make me feel that my business is appreciated. Never stay at any other hotel unless they are not available.

The room with pool access is a little bit outdated. No central lights control as you need to reach out the wall light for switch. The staff from checking-in til the entire stay is awesome.

They were accommodating at breakfast for gluten free which was great. The pools there are so much fun the children's pool was nice and warm and really fun. Will defiantly go again.

Best place to take your kids if visiting the Calgary area hands down! Okay my family and I have been going here now for years now and the hotel has made some very good upgrades to fit and finish and the internet is one of the best I know of for a hotel and did I mention the awesome water park, great steam rooms, workout room, second pool down stairs, 3rd hottub down stairs, racketball courts and on and on all for a real decent price But the real story here is the staff! First of all thank you personally to Robin and Mo for alway treating us like we are rock stars or something my kids think you guys are great and that you have a magical hot chocolate machine behind the desk. To the rest of the staff you all have great professionalism and my respect. That is front end, the restaurant staff and house keeping. The staff in the restraunt even remember what I like on my sandwich 8 month later wow. All I can say is we keep coming back for one reason it's you guys.

We stayed overnight for a quick visit. Our family really enjoyed the pool. We stayed in a family room that had two queen beds and a pullout couch. The room was large and clean. We ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. It was okay. The hotel hallways and bathrooms were a little dirty but it could have just been a busy weekend.

The Port O Call Inn is one of the best hotels I stay at. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, it has all the amenities a hotel should have, the rates are fair and they have underground parking.

The hotel was located a short distance from the Calgary Airport which was perfect for our families mini weekend away to pick up my mother inlaw. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities. Our kids specially loved the water slides and multiple pools. The under ground parking was a nice touch although it is a little tight to maneuver.

Kids loved the water park. Our hockey team stayed here during a tournament and considering we also received breakfast buffet vouchers, the value compared to the rate was excellent.

I have never been dissatisfied staying here. Friendly, very helpful, and professional staff. Only downside is that they did not have a smaller room than the 2 queen bed room available. My wonderful experiences at this Best Western is why I always look for one to stay at wherever I travel to.

Had a late flight and checked in after 9 pm, didn't go to the room right away as I had a dinner with friends, so when I got back my room was not clean I had dirty towels all over the washroom and the bedding was all over the room, I don't think the manager did enough to keep me as a client, I won't be going back

Fun for the kids. I brought my three girls specifically because of the water park and they weren't disappointed. Only downfall was that their other pool (by the fitness center) was under renovation and I wasn't aware of this prior to our stay.

Fantastic hotel for families. The water park is great, the water is nice and warm and the slides are fast and fun. With the wadding area there is something for all ages at this pool. The hotel and rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. We ate at the buffet and it felt geared towards young families. The food was kid food: plain pasta, meatballs, pizza and a small salad bar. The service was very good at the restaurant. We will absolutely stay here again. Very convenient location for us.

The pool was great just got there to find out the parking garage was under construction which wasn’t mentioned when we booked so there was literally no parking. And we called down after the first day to get our sheets changed and they just made the bed and left the old sheets.

I went to stay here for my daughters 9th birthday party (local and 2 adjoining rooms) I called the 1-800 # to make a reservation and had the worst time ever, they kept telling me that the two adjoining rooms were not possible for those dates and tried to refer me to a Hilton Hotel nearby. If i wanted the Hilton Hotel, i would have booked that, but the pool here is amazing. I should also mention that the 1-800# offered me a higher price than what was offered on the BW Website and when asked to speak to a manager, i was on hold for over 5 min. Being the impaired Albertan that I am, i called the hotel directly and was answered within 3 rings. Clarissa (my booking agent) was so graceful and helpful in making my reservation. (Highly recommend speaking to her) She was able to ensure that the two rooms i was booking were adjoining and could accommodate all persons involved. I would greatly recommend this hotel ONLY if you call them directly. They are so welcoming and accommodating when engaging with them directly. Highly recommend!

Great place to lay my head on a buisiness trip. Little tiny fridge made a heck of a racket had to unplug it to sleep. It was clean. Employees were all friendly and more than approachable. Can't forget to mention my excellent top notch B-52.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Front desk staff gave lots of information on services in hotel. I received a welcoming phone call a few minutes after I got into my room, making sure that everyone was good. Very clean. I had some documents to scan and the manager was very willing to do so for me. More than one option for pillow softness. Fun waterpark with 2 slides, kiddie pool, and hot tub. Additional pool and hot tub in basement. Breakfast was amazing though not included with every booking. Shuttle service for airport though only every hour in the evening so it can be a long wait at the airport.

Excellent hotel, good service, water park area is one if the main attraction.my daughter love it. And we will be traveling again to stay in this hotel.

We had a large (very very large! 40+ people large) Family reunion and the fantastic staff here accommodated us with everything. The care taken to make sure our family was comfortable and happy was tremendous. Never at any time did we feel like a burden or an inconvenience (though knowing me and my family we most certainly we're both of these) all the staff were smiling and more than helpful, any time we had a problem or needed assistance they were kind and quick in finding a solution and lending a helpful hand. I can't sing their praises enough! Thank you thank you thank you!

Loved, loved this hotel! The staff was great, hotel spotless and rooms really spacious. The waterpark was a hit with all the kids, the pool, hot tub and gym, were also great for all us. Will stay here again and again. By far the best hotel we stayed at.

I liked the buffet breakfast, everything was very clean, and the waterslides are great for the kids. The hotel room is very cramped with a cot and the pool was very crowded.

Stayed for 3 nights with my family. Had a very comfortable stay. The Hotel is very family friendly. Their indoor waterpark was an instant hit with my toddler. The staff is very friendly, polite and accommodating. The duty manager, Robin, was very helpful and offered very practical recommendations during our stay. Will definitely go back upon next trip.
