I was travelling with my family for 1 night stay. The stay was not pleasant at all. The rooms were not clean. The pool is in the lobby it smelled like chlorine. The breakfast area is small. The hotel is outdated and the couches are very dirty. Not recommended
We liked that the reception was very friendly and helpful while we were there. The breakfast was excellent too. Every time we visit Banff, we will now stay in this hotel.
Best Western Plus Siding 29 Lodge is a fabulous pet friendly hotel. We are traveling with our small dog and the staff have made us feel very welcome. Our room is comfortable and beds were very comfortable. It appears our room had been updated fairly recently. There is a sliding door to an outside courtyard. The courtyard has seating, which would be wonderful in the summertime and there are grassy areas for pets to do their "business" with trash cans to deposit pet waste.
There is a pool and hot tub that we used once. It can be busy with children at certain times of the day.
A wonderful breakfast is included with our stay and there is a coffee machine with a great selection of different coffees, lattes as well as several different hot chocolates.
The price is very reasonable and I would definitely recommend this hotel to all travellers with or without pets.
Highly recommend! The staff were all friendly and professional and so attentive! Breakfast is outstanding and also the swimming pool has an amazing view! I’ll def be back!
After reading some of the few negative reviews on here i guess my standards are just low or the negative reviews are from negative people. Hmmm. The room was nice. Clean. My wife has a bad smell phobia and she said no smells. Thats saying something. Breakfast was good. For 129 bucks a night. To get that kind of breakfast included is above and beyond. Underground parking. Location so close to downtown. All was good. Even excellent. All the staff are filipinos. They are kind. Gracious and helpful. Cant say anything bad. Pool is small but clean and nice. We will stay here from now on. Salamat po.
The hotel may be appearing dated from the outside, however it is really nice. The room was recently renovated. The pool is really good. The free parking and a complimentary full breakfast hard to beat. The location is central and convenient, and the service is excellent.
I really like the hotel. I. Close to downtown and walking distance to a lot of places. The room very clean and upgraded. Tv very big and light system and air conditioning very good. The pool and hot tub very small but not bad. The breakfast not bad but small area to eat.
I read the feedback from other people, they said it’s the best western hotel they have ever stayed. And it’s true! Service is good and friendly, all the public areas are clean and comfortable! AND! They have underground parking It is perfect for us in winter! About room, tell you what? I Love it!? Bathroom is so clean and spacious! The towels and cleaning supplies are clean and convenient! The bed is so comfortable, I can fall asleep immediately! And the room is quiet, you won’t hear the noise from outside or the other room! Which is so nice for us! Overall, if you are looking for a nice place and good location for your vacation in Banff Town, I recommend Best western hotel! Cuz I would love to stay again here in my next trip here!
I stayed at this hotel for two nights in October 2023. I loved my stay. My room was spacious and clean and had a microwave and mini fridge. There’s a gas station and convenience store right across the street and Roam buses pickup nearby. My tour company, Discover Banff, picked me up from Fox Hotel and Suites, which is less than a block from BW. The free continental breakfast was excellent with a good selection of hot and cold food, juices and coffee and tea. Parking was free. I usually parked beside the hotel but also used the underground parking lot a few times. Front desk was friendly and helpful. They offer $40 per bag of laundry, contracted to a coin laundry company. They wash, dry and fold your clothes. It’s quite expensive but very convenient and I was happy to have the service. Clothes that are dropped off one day are returned the next day. The pool and hot tub are lovely.
The hotel is well located, it is only 5-10min from the city centre. The pool facility are available until 11pm which is a good. The breakfast is good, the only problem is that the breakfast room is quite little so it get crowded quickly. The room was good but the mattress from the sofa bed is thick enough.
We stayed here recently when visiting Banff. The staffs are friendly, breakfast included and amazing, the room was very clean, and parking included. We had a great time and will stay here again for sure. Thank you
This was the first time we stayed at a Best Western. The entire experience was wonderful. The staff were polite and professional. Smiling and helpful. The breakfast was incredible. Sheila, working behind the front counter, was delightful and so helpful to us. It was a pleasure to meet her. She is a great representative for Best Western.
Rooms were nice and breakfast was decent the eggs felt rubbery yet somehow runny. ("typical hotel eggs") but the sussga glizzys were juicy. Ok for real the susages were pretty nice they were pretty juicy and tasted alright.
The location is the best part tho it's very close to things and restaurants.
Great room with a balcony! Skip the in room coffee and use the machine in the lobby for pipping hot coffee choices! Breakfast room is crowded, so make friends to share a table or bring it back to your room.
Very clean, easy parking below hotel, helpful, friendly staff. In walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Big rooms with great lighting. Loved this hotel.
