Best Western Plus Village Park Inn

Our stay was smooth and the staff were friendly and accomodating. Eventhough we didn't get complimentary slippers when we arrived they sent it right away when we requested it. It is pet friendly which is great for travelers who are carrying their pets. They have a green turf at the back where your pets can do their thing. Overall, a great hotel for us.

We had stayed here while a family member was at the foothills hospital. It was very convenient and close. We also enjoyed parking in the underground parking area.

Rooms look to have been redone recently. I am from out of town so not familiar.there is an indoor pool, like other best westerns from the 80, s, which can be noisy for some people.we didn't mind.breakfast buffet was great feature.and good.we stayed a few nights.was in town for a wedding.the stadium is very close.

We have had a pleasant stay here. Every single staff member has been wonderful. The rooms are very clean and nice. I take away a star because the hotel itself is very noisy. Because all the rooms are open to the middle, you can hear everything, and the sounds echo. The restaurant is extremely noisy, and dishes can be heard banging (from third floor!) until very late into the night. I had a really tough time falling asleep. I will absolutely stay again, I will just be bringing earplugs with me.

Room was good. I hoped to get the online price for a room, however, was told that I had to go on line in the lobby to get it, then told I would not get my deposit back from calling in. Kinda makes me wonder why I'm a member. No one will call me and offer a resolve, they will be happy to take my next booking. Kinda miss the service part of Best Western.

Excellent and friendly service. They were able to accomodate our very early check in.
The breakfast buffet is full of options.
Both the gym and pool are very good.

Great location with ease of access to our destinations, the room was very clean, super comfy beds and a good size, the food served at the on-site restaurant was absolutely amazing! The complimentary breakfast was great and hit the spot! Only two negatives we had were the pool closing at 9 and the terrible tv, a guide would be nice and done decent channels. We always stay at Best Westerns and this one is near the top of the list!

Terrible customer service. We were looking to check in at 5am due to a medical emergency and were refused service due to audit time and checkin time being 3pm. When we asked if they had a recommendation for an alternate hotel they sneered “Good luck finding a clean room at this hour. Everyone audits at 2am and has a 3pm checkin. ”

Drove around the block to “Holiday Inn Express and Suites” and we had great customer service. They apologized for our circumstance. Found us adjacent rooms, immediately offered late check out, and gave us a medical discount.

Don’t bother with Best Western. Terrible service.

Lobby was modern and welcoming. I like that there is a water bottle fill up station.
The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was really nice. Good selection and the meat options changed daily.
Handy location to get the train to downtown or if you have a car it’s easy to get out of the city.
Our room was by the elevator and it was a little noisy, until we got the air conditioning to drown it out.
I didn’t like that the rooms were all open to the inside and anyone could access them from the street. I prefer hotels where you need key card access to get up the elevator to the rooms.

We had a good 3 night stay in the hotel. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. They had good breakfast, however it could be better.

The staff are all very nice. The pool and hot tub are open concept in the middle of the hotel. Laundry cost 2.00. The beds were very comfortable as were all the sitting places in the common areas. There are tons of ootions to choose from at the free breakfast. Theres access to outside in your rooms. Very quiet hotel. Great value for your money. No smart tvs so indidntnwatch TV as my cell is too advanced for their TV I thonknornim not advanced anough? Either way, it was a great stay. I I wish the hot tub was hotter but it is being maintenance as we speak so hopefully I can use it at max heat before I check out.

The first time I stayed at this Best Western Plus was at the beginning of 2022. I was originally a little bit underwhelmed during my first stay. I stayed in a single queen room but I felt that the bathroom was really outdated, particularly the shower/tub.
But I booked again a few more times in 2022 and grew to absolutely LOVE this location. I have stayed in the single king room, queen room & king executive (?) suite. The suite is absolutely incredible, there is a glass & marble bathroom & the shower has like 10 shower heads along the wall with a variety of stream features. It is simply amazing and feels like a spa. There is also a jacuzzi tub, however I didn’t get to test it out.
There is a HUGE beautiful table and chairs for hosting & full living room sectional. The king bed is in a separate bedroom and is incredibly beautiful. The kitchenette is perfect as well.

There is an agent 24/7 at the front desk & the complimentary breakfast is DELICIOUS!

Being able to gain best western rewards is a wonderful bonus & I love when there are promotional booking months where I can gain extra points.

The location is perfect if you’re wanting to hit up McMahon stadium because it is literally right across the street.

The rooms were decent and clean although I found them very noisy. Bathroom was very small but ok. The service at the front desk was not great. When I came to check in, there was quite a long line up at the desk and there were two women working although one of them wasn’t helping people check in (seemed to be some sort of supervisor). She was on the phone a lot, and loudly declared that she was dealing with a crisis. I understand she was under stress, but she Didn’t seem to handle it very well. It would have made sense for her to help deal with the line up rather than calling people to upgrade their rooms while she had a long lineup. The one woman who was helping people seemed very new and was very slow. I made a comment to the people in line behind me that the service was very slow. And after I finally checked in, parked my car and was coming back in the ‘supervisor’ yelled across the lobby at me “Sorry that there was such a long wait earlier. ” It was an odd way to Address the situation with me and quite embarrassing actually. It would have made more sense for her to say that while I was actually waiting in line - or better yet, help deal with the line rather than yelling at me across the lobby later. The parking is a bit odd; you have to park around the side or back of the building and then drag your suitcase quite a long ways as there is only one entrance. I’m not sure what people do in the winter. Location was good if you need to be near one of the post secondary schools. Not sure I would stay here again though.

Tons of noise all hours of the night. Sounded like the person in the next room was getting murdered at 2AM.

Stayed 3 days, and would come again on my next trip to Calgary. The atrium atmosphere and glass elevators are a hit. Totally non-smoking, so you have to go outside under the electronic sign to smoke your pot.

This Best Western Plus (BWP) is centrally located near Banff Trail and McMahon stadium. The hotel is on one end of a road convergence metres away from an offramp onto Crowchild. While this is convenient for access it's easy to miss the first time if you don't have GPS. Now while it is not difficult finding the hotel, it is on one end of a one way road. On the other end of the same road, there is one awkward left turn under a concrete pedestrian which is a sight distance nightmare, and is located next to a strip mall parking lot entrance/exit. This BWP is home to one of the best breakfast buffets in this class of hotel. The rooms are tidy and clean, and the concierge made me feel welcome for a loyalty club member. Furthermore, the service is friendly and quick. The surface parking lot stalls are a bit small and narrow, and beware if you drive a truck you may end up having to find a corner of the surface lot to park as you will not fit underground. The pool and hot tub is located centrally in a beautiful atrium. The signs need to be updated: some say hot tub limit 4 and some say limit 6. All in all, great hotel for the price point. Would stay again.
