Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre

Rating this based on 3-star hotel standards. Re service, they were fine. I removed one star for lack of hospitality/service. When I arrived, I came in juggling a lot of items. No staff person offered to help, even as I was attempting to check in at the front desk. They just watched me kick, shuffle, and drag items while I moved ahead in the line and up to the front desk. It was awkward. I'm not sure why they'd just stand and wait for me to figure it out. Other 3-star hotels have been quick to offer their help. Re the room, it too was fine. Though, I did find a pretzel on the ground under the bench. Seems they don't vacuum everywhere. Re location, the hotel is situated in an area that is somewhat industrial and also sketchy.

While the price was low, and the location is comparatively closer to downtown, I think I'd opt to spend the extra 10 minutes commuting and stay closer to the airport than this Best Western again.

Clean rooms, shuttle to/from airport, restaurant/bar open until 11, staff is top notch, would stay again!

Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. There is a shuttle service, a gym and a swimming pool.

Good hotel for a family stay. There is a restaurant, swimming pool, gym. There is an airport transfer if needed

It was an amazing experience at this location. Stayed here for a family trip, and hospitality was outstanding. Got upgraded elite room at no extra cost. View from my room was breathtaking. Breakfast was served hot, and it was great. Please give a try to this hotel if it's between your price range because they will not disappoint you.

Booked this room for my employee with my company credit card. Was never told we would have to fill out a form (s) to bill to the card. On check in, my employee was told there were no instructions on file to authorize charging to the card on file, so she would have to pay upfront. My employee asked the guy at the counter to call me, but a young woman next to him kept stepping in and overruling the situation. My employee texted me advising of the situation, so I phoned and the young woman answered, but put me on hold instantly, twice. The third time, I interrupted her to explain I was calling to authorize the charges and she said I'd have to fill out paperwork. This was at 10 PM. I ended up getting my employee to use her personal card.
On checkout, my employee was told she "caused issues" on check in? !? !
We will NOT be staying at this property again, and we've let Annex Media, who hosted the trade show, know how poorly my employee was treated.
Unacceptable treatment.

I live in the City but I attended a wedding here, both the ceremony, reception and dinner party were held here. The facilities were great and worthy of a 4-5 star hotel which I experienced of a great service, fabulous food, well presented and served by very courteous staff.

Nice hotel but in the middle of nowhere Calgary.guess you have to work or have meetings somewhere close

We had an awful flight that got turned around and landed back in Calgary at 4: 00 am. I called closer hotels and all were booked up. This hotel had a room for us to sleep in from 5: 00am until noon to get some sleep. I spoke with Christine on the phone and she was so empathetic and kind. Once we got to the hotel, she had everything ready to go for us so that the check in was swift and we could immediately go sleep. After the awful flight situation, this was the kindness we so desperately needed. The room also was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable for us. I can not speak highly enough of our experience with Christine.

Awesome hotel! Very quiet, very clean, lots of amenities (gym, pool, hot tub, restaurant, room service). Awesome shower, very comfortable bed and pillows! Super friendly staff!

my only recommendations would be to add black-out curtains, a water fountain, bottle refill station, or water bottles for the rooms, and room service that allows leaving the food at the door and paying/ordering online.

I would like to express my gratitude to the hotel staff for their hospitality and in particular to Mrs. Teresa, who advised me on life and finding work in Canada and saved me from the machinations of apartment rental scammers. I definitely recommend the hotel as excellent and meeting all the requirements, and arriving Ukrainians should definitely take Teresa’s advice.

I stayed in Best Western Premier for 2 weeks in August and it was an amazing and very comfortable stay. The room was nice, spacious, had a microwave, kettle, coffee maker, air conditioner, nice bathroom, tv and nice furniture overall. The service was also good with everyday cleaning and the reception desk was always helpful and useful. It even had a laundry room and a dryer, which is great if you are staying for a longer time. I enjoyed my stay there and can say that the quality of this hotel is really high.
