Big Ben Barber - Canyon Meadows

I have had some good haircuts before but I have never received soo many compliments about how I looked. I love my hair after a visit here! I now bring my son and his hair also looks phenomenal.

Get a haircut in this place twice. The first time, I walked in for the haircut with the old men barber, he was a nice guy and did a great haircut, I was happy with it.
Came back here after a month and I have booked appoiment online with a random young barber name Hannah, his service was so bad. I have a conversation with him in politely way about my haircut that he can do taper my hair and leave the top hair to grow because my hair isn't long enough to cut as the same pic which I showed to him.
Then I don't know why he looked not happy and did my haircut in an aggressive manner, the way he grab my head during haircut was too hard and also after he shaved my back neck hair, he THREW the wet towel over my head to clean my neck that was so bad.
I like this barber shop, but it's just never have a haircut experience like this before.

Barber didn’t listen to a thing I said. Haven’t had a haircut this bad in years. Asked for him to trim a little and he took around an inch. He tapered my hair with a trimmer and it’s made it look choppy. His fades are not properly done.

Was happy with place until yesterday. Went in with a 9 months beard looking for a shape and clean up neck. Left with a 5 o'clock shadow. I never be back. Man butched me in one stroke. Neck was full of blood and did not clean hair off me. Total trash experience

Was looking for a new barber and think I’ve found it. Hanna was very knowledgeable and gave me probably the best cut I’ve had in a while. I will be back.

Hannah is loosing his touch. Had a cut from him and it was pretty bad. Did not listen to or do as instructed did sluffed it off at the end. Buzzed my beard almost off when I asked for a "trim" and "just clean it up a little" Paid $70 for haircut and beard cut and looked like a $10 from greatclips. My nephew also recently got his hair cut by Hannah and he cut it way shorter than asked but also left long stray hairs throughout. Poor quality. I like this place but getting sloppy and over charging for mediocre cuts.

After trying different barbers for the past 3 years, I finally came across Johnny, James, and Hana all of whom can deliver a quick and clean cut that actually fits the profile of your face. A lot of other places will give you the cut you ask for, but not blend it or tailor the cut to your facial and head structure.

Definitely recommend any of those three guys, but my primary Barber is Johnny.

Friendly and respectable staff

This the place where you even don't need to tell them how to do your haircut. Very professional guys, they exactly know how to give you a haircut. Best price, best place I strongly recommend this place for everyone.

Great place. Used to go to Johnny's old location in Forest Lawn and now I go to Big Ben. He's very thorough with his cuts and makes sure to take the time that he needs. I have never had a haircut with him that's been worse than an 8/10.

If you want to go to one of the best barbershop in Calgary, this is the place you would absolutely want to go to. The three men that work here Johny, Hanna and James are unquestionably all skilled and equipped with their own barber skills. I've been through many haircuts and undoubtedly without any doubt I will not stop going here to get a nice faded combover. The way how they handle a razor and scissors is competely mesmerizing and captures my eyes immediately. They have great hospitality and show love and care to each customer. Always going to be a customer and will always be one of the best, if not THE best in Calgary. Thank you for always taking care of me.

I've been going to Big Ben for years and have never once been disappointed. The haircuts are very affordable, but that doesn't mean they skim on the quality. The Big Ben team are all very talented and highly detail oriented. I live across the city but the drive is worth it, everytime. Give them a visit, bet you won't regret it!
