Why not support a local secondhand bookstore? Walking into big John’s bookstore, I was welcomed and treated with absolute kindness. The store is clean. The store is beautiful and big John himself runs and owns the place. He helped me with recommendations and also helped me navigate to where I needed to find certain genres. I 100% recommend going to the store, but I won’t apologize if you spend your pocket money because it will go fast due to such an amazing variety of books that day have!

Absolutely excellent service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Also, a great selection of books, with more coming in all the time! One of my favorite stops after work.

What a pleasure to shop in your store John! Great family owned business. Fantastic selection of books! Only one copy of each book on the shelf, shows the huge inventory. Can’t beat the fair prices. We will be back from Medicine Hat!

Very well organized, great selection, and the staff was very personable and lovely. Prices are about mid range for used books.

Finding books at Big John's is always a good experience. He can guide you toward what you're looking for quickly and efficiently or you can meander and find yourself a treasure. I've done both and am appreciative for the experience.
