BIG John's Pizza and Donairs

This is a great place to enjoy Shawarma and Pizzas!

I really like the bread they use for Shawarma sandwiches, very fresh and delicious!
Their pizza also rocks!

They also write a cute thank you note hahah!

I travel a lot and this is one of the best pizzas I have ever try.

Ordered a donair from there with everything on it and I gotta say was one of the best donairs I ever had. The guy who took my order had excellent customer service and was cool to talk to. Stop by and have a bite

Really made my taste buds realize the beauty of food. Everything was nice. What i loved the most was the environment over there.

The pizza and wings were really delightful, I haven't had anything else that comes close to the scrumptiousness of the food in this restaurant. If you're looking for a delightful time, be sure to visit here. The management is wonderful at their job as well.

Made us wait for almost 40 min for a large pizza and served others before us and even after waiting the pizza was not fluffy and crust was so hard that it was making cracking Noise while chewing.worst experience ever and after giving reviews employee came at us with a question that if we posted these reviews that was not comfortable

I’m from the East Coast and the garlic fingers here were the best I’ve ever had. They’ve recently changed ownership and the food went from 10/10 to 1/10, absolutely horrible!

I used to order from here all the time when I lived downtown and I absolutely loved it. Lots of toppings, garlic fingers were fantastic, donairs were a good size and amazing sweet sauce. I was in the area yesterday and thought I would take a trip down memory lane. What a disappointing trip that was.

It is under new management, which was a surprise. I grabbed a couple slices to go and they were terrible. Lacking in every way, not enough cheese or sauce. Barely any toppings and the chicken was so dry it felt like dust in my mouth. I ended up throwing it in the trash. Will not be going back and do not recommend.

Chill small place. Good for a small hangout with friends or grabbing a slice on a walk. I personally like the donair.

I must say, the combination of great taste and exceptional management at this place is truly commendable. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable experience that truly values both their time and money.

They closed for renovations, now new ownership with HUGE price increases.
Increased prices so public pays for renovations.

07/06/2023 - Just went back this month as they posted a special for 25% off. Donair was smaller, meat was dry, lacking sauce, tasted like they added pizza sauce on to it. Awful!
Since this business is off the main drag I cannot see them lasting! They have alienated too many regular customers! Can't wait now for them to fold their doors to make way for something new! It is a shame that our local Donaire place has gone to this! By the way, don't have your staff say that Donairs used to $8 something. I was a regular and always paid $7.88! Now to pay for your renovations we have to pay over $9.00 for a lousy Donaire. Goodbye to this establishment and will spread my review to all the people I know in the neighborhood. From what I can see your days are numbered for being in business!

One of the best pizza place in town! Had a real good experience with their butter chicken pizza and Donair. Must try!

I liked the old management, so figure I would try out the new management. They did not disappoint, very friendly & welcoming guy, and they didn't drop the quality of the food at all. I forgot to take a picture but I plan to go again and I have told my nearby friends to check out the "new" Big John's.

Very friendly staff when I visited and chatted about my holiday with me whilst I waited. The pizza was exceptional and not greasy unlike some I've had in the UK.

I am not defaming you, just wondering why you would rate your own restaurant 5 stars, when you are the actual owner?

the donair was very small for that price and wasn’t good.
What would I support this?
If I was an owner of a restaurant, I would want to read these reviews, talk to your employee who prepared it, and welcome criticism, and improve your product.
Also I would visit other restaurants that sell donairs to learn what they are doing.

Got a very small amount of both.
Some green herb on it that was bad too and a freezer burnt pita.

Ordered a large 4 topping pizza through skip. First off, asked for extra sauce and they barely put any sauce on. Pizza was very dry and doughy. 4 topping order and was very light on toppings/cheese. Disappointed.

Love this place. One of the best establishments to get a traditional Nova Scotian Donair. Owners are also very nice.
