Dr. Rick at Big Rock Animal Clinic is so wonderful with animals and humans alike. Our dog gets excited when we tell him he’s going for a visit. And Dr. Rick makes us pet parents feel at ease too with his quiet, capable, and confident demeanour. We’ll continue to see him as long as he’s practicing.

I always receive the best care for my dogs. Vets are very knowledgeable and caring, and give excellent care and advice all around. They also follow up to check on the pets well being, and if prescriptions are working as intended. Very happy with this clinic.

I love Big Rock Animal Clinic! I have a very small Yorkie (3.8lb) and I always get the best care and service. I appreciate the honest and authentic care they suggest and never feel pressured. Highly recommend!

Dr's have a great demeanor. Admin staff is polite and helpful. They do not try to price gouge you. Great customer service

My dog Thor is 11, he's a senior and ABSOLUTELY hates other dogs and vet clinics. Every time I have brought him in to see Dr. Dain (I may be spelling that wrong), Thor is stand offish, but will allow him to touch him which is a HUGE thing for my dog. I've been coming to this vet for a few years now, and they've never steered me wrong. Out of the clinics I have taken him to in town, this is the only vet clinic I've gone to where my dog is treated as an equal, not a price tag.
The staff I've interacted with have always been amazing and pleasant. There's one woman I almost always get at the reception desk and she is an absolute sweetheart, I just wish I could remember her name!

I cannot recommend this clinic and Dr. Dain enough, he shows genuine care for the animals.

Best animal clinic out there. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and they go above and beyond with their care for your pet. The clinic is clean and inviting. Their rates are also very reasonable. I have been taking my animals to this clinic for well over 15 years and they all love the staff and are excited to go in rather than being afraid and nervous. If you are looking for a vet in the Okotoks area, this is the place to go.

Very satisfied with the service and the recommendations on dog food to address Nikki's allergies. Not pressed to do additional work on either dog that wasn't necessary. Explanations were given and easily understood. The professional attitude was excellent and very welcomed.

I love Dr Rick and his staff at big rock. We moved out of town and haven’t been to Big Rock in over a year, I came back with Ranger to get a recheck done and have his thyroid checked and everyone remembered him from when he was a baby. Dr Rick has been treating my dogs for the past 5 years and he’s still by far my favourite vet to go too.

Dr. Rick and his team took wonderful care of our dog, Eve, for 13 years. We could have easily gone to a clinic within Calgary but the quality of service and care provided at Big Rock made it an easy choice to make the drive out to this clinic. Thank you for taking care of our old girl!

We thought our dog was choking so I called the office at around 4: 30, they said to bring him in, but because we lived out of town they waited for us and looked after him the minute I walked in the door. They are the best animal clinic we have ever been to. Thank you Big Rock!

Our dog Harley had dental surgery last week. The staff answered all questions we had with no judgement regarding our concerns. They called the following day to check in with us and offered support. I felt so comfortable with the doctor and staff's ability to treat and care for our dog. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Dr. Rick and his staff are the best. Another vet had diagnosed my 15 year old cat with stage 2 kidney disease. After having Big Rock check it out, we found out itnwas a bad diagnosis.after a year later. My boy is still very healthy. And has improved. Huge Rave.

We love Dr Rick and all the staff at Big Rock Animal Clinic. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and you never feel rushed. They take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. Would recommend to anyone especially if you are looking for a clinic where you can establish a care routine for your pet with one vet instead of taking a chance on who might be available.

The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The Vet answered all of our questions and was so good with my dogs. Their prices are fantastic (won't break the bank) :)

Big Rock has been caring for our pets for 16 years. We recently had to say goodbye to our 2 dogs after 16 years of love and companionship. They received very compassionate care in their final days, and a quiet calm place for us to say goodbye. After a month or so we really missed the wagging tails and happy faces. We found 2 new puppies to fill the void and Big Rock welcomed them with open arms. There was no thought of going anywhere else for new puppies.

Although there for a tremendously sad diagnosis, I found the staff polite and understanding and Dr. Dain was thorough and gentle and answered all my questions. Thank you

A great vet clinic. Dr. Rick Dalrymple is professional, compassionate, down to earth. Easy to talk to, he engages well with both the human and the pet. He offers lots of options and doesn't push his opinion and is willing to really incorporate the customers wishes into the patients' treatment plan. We drive from North Calgary because it is our experience that there just isn't anyone quite like Dr. Rick.

By far the worst vet I have ever been to. They stress out the animals and seem to have zero respect for them. They charge outrageous amounts for simple things like a check up. Their front desk staff are uninterested and u pleasant.

Everything as estimated and hundreds of dollars more affordable then in city. Have been taking dogs there for years. Now with a new puppy we had the neuter, microchip and some dental concerns addressed. Everything was explained in detail. Pup came home happy and in perfect shape. With a few meds and all the info we need for a quick recovery. Awesome service from front desk to techs to Dr. Highly recommended

We’ve been bringing our girls to here for the past 4 years. From the moment you walk in they make you feel welcome and confident you’re in good hands. For our two little ones, who get nervous easily, Dr. Dain always handles their personalities with genuine care. Totally worth the drive all the way from Calgary.

Having recently moved to the Okotoks area, I needed to find a vet clinic for my greyhound. At the Big Rock clinic, my dog was seen by two veterinarians – Dr. Tellier and Dr. Aarbo – for two different care issues. At both appointments, I was impressed with their detailed examination of my dog, prior to making a diagnosis, relevant tests and prescribing medication. The support staff were very helpful and friendly during both appointments. What particularly impressed me was the telephone follow-up afterwards by the vet to report on results of a lab test and to determine the effectiveness of the prescribed meds.

Always the vey best friendliest, caring vets for my 5 dogs, they treat every animal likes its the most special, and they are, as head of a dog rescue I see bad vets and be assured BIG ROCK is wonderful.

Been to several different vets and these guys are very good. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Facility has great access and good parking. Recommended highly.

Dr Rick and his staff are absolutely fantastic! They are so very genuine, knowledgeable, compassionate, understanding and patient.
Dr Rick was so great with helping us through a very difficult few months with our boy Rowdy and his brave battle with cancer. We are very thankful for him. He made the transition so peaceful and loving.

Now we are starting all over with our new generation American Lab Dallas Jasper (DJ) who is joining his new brother our Great Dane Hank and the chase is on with his other fur brother Moe the cat! But the future looks bright and we are so thankful for our extended family at Big Rock Animal Clinic.

After my vet retired.finding another that wasn't just in it for a quick $, but a real love for animals isn't easy. Dr Rick was the recommended vet, but I have seen Dr Daine twice now and he is second to none. Love this clinic

I have been going to Big Rock for 20 years and they just keep getting better. From regular care to emergency and end of life, Dr Rick is the most compassionate, respectful and understanding vet I have ever encountered. I will never go anywhere else.

Never had any issues with this vet. They were some of the cheaper prices compared to in calgary. Worth the short drive.

Best vet ever! So grateful for these guys. They are so genuine I would recommend them to anyone looking for veterinary services.

Good vet, Dr Rick can even get my chihuahua to calm down and that doesn’t happen with too many people.
