Big T's BBQ & Smokehouse

We've been looking for a great brisket place in the city & we came to this place because of the reviews - it turns out they're very true! This became our favorite smoked meats place and we'll definitely be back regularly. The food was incredible, decently priced, & generously portioned. On top of that, our server, Anaya, was the best server we've ever had. She was so nice and polite and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, and we did! Thanks for a beautiful dinner:)

Food was good, I had the pulled pork sandwich and found the bun to be a bit dry but pork had good flavor. Server was very nice and attentive. I would come back again to try other menu items

On behalf of WWS we would like to give a VERY large thank you to #bigtsbbq & their manager Bill for his teams incredible support in preparing such incredible food for our event over the weekend at the ranch! We also had some pretty specialty allergy needs and they did an amazing job of accommodating that for our guests as well!
I don’t think anyone left without some level of having a case of the meat sweats (which is a great thing!) because the food was so amazing everyone had loaded plates of different smoked meats, cornbread, fries, salads, and what was stated to be amazing beans as well!

The food was delicious and came out very fast. The place however was really loud and was not a pleasant atmosphere, we should of ate outside on the patio.

Great BBQ, nicely done, wasn’t as juicy as I expected but wasn’t dry. But the bbq hot sauce was the unbelievably tasty……I even purchased two bottles wasn’t cheap but it was worth. This was in the bucket list for my road trip. Will visit again for my next road trip.

Food was really very good! Unfortunately, the water that you get everywhere here in Canada tasted very much like chlorine. That wasn't edible. Otherwise it's a really good restaurant and top price.

Called an ordered 25 lb of brisket for our baseball tournament. The owner was up all night and made sure this was cooked and ready for us the next day! 5 stars! The food was absolutely delicious. Even put some burnt ends together and had everything ready to go for pick up early mornings. Went above and beyond. The restaurant itself had lots of parking and a great vibe when I walked in. The chefs and the owner are all very passionate about BBQ! They live for it, and it translates to the food

Me and my partner where super excited to have found a place out here that wasnt tim hortons that had chilli. We wanted to take it home so i could make home made nachos with it! Well to our suprise we paid 35$ with a tip for two things of chilli that where the same damn size as the ones from tim hortons and the ones there are only 5$ plus it had to have been the worst tasting chilli weve ever had! I would definitely not recommend this place at all plus the staff was kind of rude when we arrived.

The chicken sandwich was really good 9/10 however the Mac and cheese was mid 3/10
Brisket tri tip 6/10 they didn't have any toppings. Just meet and bread.

If I had to choose one meal before I die, I would go for some smoked meat here! Thank you guys, it was amazing! The waffles are like a sweet heaven on Earth

It felt like was eating at a smittys restaurant food was mediocre at best. Ribs didn't even taste smoked and the brisket was chewy and full of fat. Being a smoke house you would think you'd get a proper knife to cut your meat not a butter knife.

First time visiting, Food was ok, a 5.5/10. St. Louis ribs and chicken were amazing! Rib ends, pulled pork and brisket were all really dry and needed so much sauce to be able to be eaten. Not really a smoky taste to them. We are big smoked meat people and just didn’t get that smoked meat happiness. At the end of the day the mac n cheese, ribs, chicken and fries were probably the only things about the meal that were good. I think we will be sticking to my regular smoke house over this one.

Best Ribs Ever! + GF

I ordered a full rack of the St Louis ribs (original house BBQ sauce), cornbread with my sides being hush puppies & poutine. None of these disappointed.

The ribs were cooked to perfection, juicy with no dry spots

The poutine had the perfect balance of fries, gravy and cheese curds. And the bush puppies? Oh my sooooo gooood!

Oh and if you are celiac then you will also love to hear that all their rib sauces are GF! And many of the other menu items can be made GF:)

Asides from the food the atmosphere is amazing and the staff are very friendly!

So good! It was very busy when we first arrived and we opted to sit at the bar, within 5 minutes, they had a table empty that they wiped down and gave to us. I enjoyed the funny shirts all the staff had. I recommend trying the hush puppies and the fried pickles (crispiest I have ever had). I also enjoyed the chocolate cake, it reminded me of the kladdkaka my friend makes.

I’ve frequented this place a few times over the course of the last few years, and it always seems to be super busy - which isn’t a problem since the food is excellent. The most recent experience, was more exceptional. Our server Amaris went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed and made for a pleasurable and positive experience, on a night the staff were clearly overwhelmed. It’s getting hard to find this level of customer service these days, so this was a nice treat. Many thanks to Big Ts for always delivering a quality product… and extra thanks to Amaris for A+ service.:)

Smashed potatoes are so good! Service was slower at 8pm on a Saturday night. Nice BBQ with their low and slow smoke-cooked meat.

Good - Not amazing. Meats are over cooked, seasoning weak. Better than not having bbq though ;)

We always walk past this to the football game. Definitely was too cold out to stay the whole game so we decided to check Big T’s BBQ out and I’m glad we did!
The waitress was quick to get our drinks. The food was delicious. Definitely like the brisket!

Honestly one of the best bbq places I've been to.the brisket was juicy and perfectly smoked, and the mac and cheese was terrific. I have never had such good mac and cheese at a restaurant before.service was great as well. I got my food in less than twenty minutes.

The food was pretty good, but, the customer service is terrible.

I tried ordering online, however, as I was checking out I was required to join a food delivery website (TouchBistro) and once I did I was unable to return to big t's site and I did not recieve an invoice.

So, I ordered again. Turns out the first order did go through, however, now they are looking at a "double order" thats over $100. Because of the uncertainly they decided to stop my order, which makes sense. Would have made more sense to have contacted me about it but not the end of the world. When I get there we get it sorted and they fire my order 45 minutes after receiving it. It was ready about 25 minutes later.

Once I get home I notice one of the sides I ordered isn't there, so I call in. I'm told a manager will call me back. After waiting an hour I call back in and I am given 2 options:

1) Pay for the item I didn't recieve

2) Come in the next day for a partial refund

No idea why they couldn't just refund me for the side without needing to come in online businesses do it all the time. I'm also not sure why I was given the option to pay for an item I didnt recieve like that would fix my concern.

Anyways, long story short I did not enjoy my experience and probably won't return even tho the food was ok.

Big T's is a really good option for smoked BBQ in YYC! The smoked wings were a little dry, that said the Ribs and Andouille Sausage were fantastic! Will definitely return!

So good! We had the friend pickles, brisket and pulled pork meals. It was delicious! Highly recommend.

We were there on a Sunday and it was my 2nd time. Not impressed, again! Brisket was dry, corn bread was stale! Green beans were soft and watery! There is an upcharge for sweet potato fries and they were half the size of regular fries and soggy! Like mushy sweet potato fries! I am sorry but it was terrible, A&W has way better fries!

If I am paying these prices, quality of food is not acceptable, sorry! I will stick to Jane Bond's and Comery/Hayden block, at least I'll get my money's worth!
