Binh's Nails Tamarack 17 Street

Months ago I called in and booked 4 women to come in and get our nails done before we left on a weekend getaway. Turns out my friends thought I meant a different location and so only I showed up to this location and I felt horrible because I even seen them ask a few walk in customers to come back as they were waiting on the rest of my party for our scheduled booking and when I realized my friends were already at a different location, I was super embarrassed and outright mortified but they were so understanding and made me feel better about my mistake. I got my nails done and was pleased with their work and to top it off the had a sweet puppy roaming around and giving customers cuddles.

It's disappointing when businesses take advantage of the fact that people don't understand their language and their internal jokes but trust me people understand the tine and expressions!

No complaints about the service it was kind of okay but the attitude of the ladies there was very pushy, disinterested and yes it was clear they were making fun of the customers.

It's been a week since our visit I took my time to write this review trust me I am not making anything up or am confused about what actually happened! My friend echos the same feeling and it was a behavior I have not experienced in the last 5 years in Canada.

I don't give such low rating but this one seriously stood out to me.

To the owners and the team, we are definitely NEVER coming back to your salon.

Ladies were talking amongst themselves, my friend understood a little of their language and overheard them calling us stupid and trying to upsell. We are far from stupid, will never return. Customer service is non existent at this location.

I came in with a set I wasn’t happy with not done by any tech at Binh’s, but GRACE! Omg grace fixed me up so well gave me a fresh set, and they’re so gorgeous not chunky my design was done so well, my fingers are hydrated and happy thanks to her I definitely won’t be going anywhere else for my nails god bless her all the ladies were so polite and she offered me a cuticle trim but wasn’t pushy about it at all! She worked fast and was very precise with what she didn’t I honestly can’t thank her enough!

Went in and asked for a regular pedicure, and was charged $70! Not sure where the extra $35 came from. Also not the first time it’s happened here. Would not recommend.

When I walked in one of the ladies was having a nap on the couch by the front door while there was customers in the salon, I told her I wanted gel and she tried to do acrylic, she then tried to charge me $10 to clean up my cuticles, they aren’t bad as I get my nails done often, when she was painting my nails she didn’t cap my nails with the colour so it’s already chipping, out of all the nail salons I’ve gone to this one is by far the worst experience. Save your money and go somewhere else.

There must be some misunderstandings with my set selection but it’s okay.
Staffs are not very active for communications which I found a little hard to discuss my needs and thoughts.
One thing I am not really bothered but my friend who we went there together not quite happy with is that the ladies who work there constantly talking with each other in Chinese, she told me the manicurist who did her nails kinda just chat with her coworkers and ignoring her words.
They done their works pretty fast, probably not a good choice for whoever want a longer pedicure and massage enjoyment.

They’re always very pushy in wanting to sell you the most expensive service they can, when it comes to pedicures they always catch an attitude when you don’t want shellac as they want you out of there as fast as possible, every service is also timed to make sure they don’t spend too much time on you.

Don’t go here, they do services and charge you with out approval, went for a regular pedicure and they charged me $70. I asked why it as more than posted and she said we did wax treatment too. I was not asked nor told it was not included. I left with my heels still very rough and crooked toe nails.

I wish they would put more care into doing your nails. If you are going to a salon you expect a proper job but the last time I went here the shellac was on my cuticle, my nails weren’t filed evenly, and you could still see my nail on the side which wasn’t painted properly. Not the best experience unfortunately.

Ling is amazing, she has been great with my manicures and pedicures. I appreciate that she helps me pick out colors and designs. I'm never disappointed! Always happy with my shellac nails

Ling, was a mean girl.
She was rude to her colleagues, and two clients.
She was so angry (took it out on me), she grated my feet so hard, it was bleeding in spots.

If you want to go to a spa to relax and be pampered this is NOT the place. The ladies won't stop talking loud between them and the service is mediocre. Went there for a eyebrow tinting Apr 09 and they said it was supposed to last 3 months and it did not even last 2 days! They did waxing in my eyebrows to clean them came back home with lots of hairs it was not properly waxed. My boyfriend pedicure was rushed and whatever they did I could have done a better job at home without a diploma. Very poor service, very rushed do not recommend don't waste your time and money go somewhere else.

I went in for shellac. I paid $27 with no manicure - just the polish. The tech was friendly but I left my some of my nails missing 1/4 of the polish, and 6 days later they’re all chipped and peeling: (

I went to this place 3 times and this time when I went I saw that they were quite busy so they did terrible job on my nails. I also noticed that they charge whatever they want and have an excuse that our website is too old and not updated. Never recommend until and unless you wanna pay extra.

Received great service here. Last minute booking and they did any incredible job on my nails. Communication was excellent, they took the time to understand what I wanted and the product shows. I normally do gel overlay on my toes, but they could do acrylic. And I love the results. Better then gel!

I’ve been going to this location for 6 months, since I got acrylic nails for my wedding in August. The service had always been fantastic. The quality of the nails would vary from time to time. But overall I would be happy with the end results. The today I went in to get my acrylic nails removed because sports is starting again for me this week. I’ve had acrylics removed before in the past at different nail salons with no issue. This time I left in tears and bleeding. I guess it’s common practice for them to remove fake nails by prying them off with a fake nail tip. I told Shobee the nail tech that it hurt because my acrylics were less than 2 weeks old and were strongly adhered to my natural nail still. She said it only hurt because my natural nails were thin. When she pried the nails off there was a layer of natural nail still on the acrylic one. My left index finger was bleeding and all of my nails are so thin you can almost see through them. She was going to go back in to file with a dremel but that’s when I had had enough. I know she isn’t good enough using it to not hurt me even further so I told her I would file myself at home. I am very upset with the lack of client care they have and the atmosphere is very “get them in, get them out as quick as possible” I am left in a lot of pain over something that if done right shouldn’t make you bleed/cause pain. I have a vacation coming up and will not be returning for any services. I will never come back.

The nail tech was really friendly and had good skills.
She stayed late to finish my fill.
I will be a returning customer.

Visited today for manicure and pedicure. Had an amazing time getting it done. Staff was super friendly. The lady doing my pedicure was so sweet and smiling.
