I’m a Montanan that took their Cerakoting class and I’m seriously impressed with their operation. They’re the best at what they do.

I've compared my gun to a few other guns that have been customized and truly the level of craftsmen ship and attention detail is like none other. My gun looks like it came from the factory with the changes made. On top of that the customer service is great. I will note don't expect it to get done ASAP it takes time and its worth it. You can get cheap work done quickly it shows. Quality work and honestly the price was good as well.

Amazing work! I could rant & rave all day long, but I won't. I sent Black Box an old Lakefield-Mossberg barrel to refinish that had been subjected to moisture and had some surface rust. When I got it back I was in awe, it truly was a thing of beauty and now I am looking at what else I can send them 'just because' Highly recommend Black Box for ALL you Cerakote needs!

Being in Canada you likely already know what a frustrating situation it is when looking to acquire top rated, high quality and highly sought after upgrade parts when looking to start either a simple or complex build plan.
More often than not dealing with limited access, hard to find and order to Canada parts, slow shipping, “temporarily out of stock”, back orders, over priced import and shipping costs and all the rest of it, these guys are readily availstrable to take care of it all!

Oh man, I had them do a custom p320 slide mill. Amazing. It made my custom gun, truly custom. The customer service was excellent, any question I had was answered in a day with email and immediately over the phone. These are the guys I'm going to use for any other custom work I need done.

I've had nothing but great experiences and customer service at Black Box Customs. It's commonly said that the service industry is "dead" however that's definitely not the case there. It's pretty obvious that the staff have an immense amount of pride in their work and product. This reflects from the interactions they have with their customers to the products they produce. It's not just walking into some gun store or whatever where you're greeted by some "dude" who's a gun guy and his guns are the best guns ever. It's an experience where the world is truly your oyster and the only thing limiting what you can achieve is your imagination. I'm sure some people will read this and say it's a love letter, however, credit where credit is due. And the staff at Black Box Customs have taken the time to make sure I'm looked after, the least I can do is take the time to actually write a decent review.

BlackBoxCustoms are masters in their craft. Specifically speaking, Jeremy has a world class personality and customer service. If you call in or email them with a question or quote and Jeremy replies, know that you are in the best hands. We ran into some issues on my first build but BlackBox always remained professional, calm, and patient when dealing with my uninformed questions and ignorance. It was my fault for not portraying exactly what I had wanted. However, even in spite of that they worked with me to correct the issue and put my build back on track.

I am now going onto my fourth build, thousands of dollars later and I can say nothing but praise. The quality of the Cerakote and cuts are top notch, and the frame modifications look and feel factory. I am a very particular person and they continue to work with me tirelessly bringing my exact visions to life. Their work has not only turned me into a BlackBox fanboy, but it has made me a loyal customer as well. BlackBoxCustoms are not easily accessible for me however, I still choose to purchase all of my parts/firearms from them whenever possible instead of walking into my LGS.

All in all I'd say if at any point you were hesitant with working with these guys, don't be. They care about your build almost as much as you will. They turn our projects into art, it almost makes me feel bad for using them haha.

One final note, their wait times can be quite long depending on the seasons, but it's definitely worth it. Over my 3 separate projects, the work was always done within the given timeframe. If for whatever reason the timeline needs to be extended, they will communicate exactly why and work with you to make sure you're happy.

They listen to your questions even stupid ones and give you an expert answers based on their years of experience. There are no high pressure sales tactics or upselling you items you don't need. November 12/2021 Update- I just had Black Box Custom complete a complete custom cerakote application to one of my firearms. This pistol was pretty scratched up and definitely showed its 29 year old age. The original colour was a dull silver. After a few weeks of TLC at Black Box, they transformed it into a piece of artwork. I am not sure if I want to hang it up or shoot it. Lol. Dealing with Devon and Jeremy made the entire process easy. There were no issues with the build or with the final bill. The price they quoted was what I paid AND they completed before the actual date they indicated. You guys are amazing and I will definitely be doing more custom work with your skilled employees.

I have been searching high and low in obtaining a slide for my P320 that would accept a red dot sight. I live in Canada. I was given Black Box Customs contact by a member of the gun club and gave them a call. Man was I ever happy I did. It was an absolute dream come true to work with Jeremy and his crew at Black Box Customs. And the most amazing thing was the low cost that they charged me for milling and cerakoting my slide. If you're a firearm owner and are looking for something truly unique this is a place you need to visit. The craftsman ship, creativity, attention to detail, employees and customer service is what keeps me coming back.

I just had some work done by the fine folks at Black Box Customs. I'm not a creative guy by any means, and really only approached their team with some colors that I like and asked them if they would be willing to "whip" something up. Black Box Customs informed me that they would do their absolute best to make sure I had something I would be happy with and that instilled a tremendous amount of confidence in them which convinced me to mail my chassis their way.

After it was in their hands I was contacted with 2 different ideas they had mocked up on photoshop. From there I was able to make some more creative thoughts or suggestions and use their knowledge & expertise in their craft to make a truly unique design. Black Box Customs were very patient with me during the communication process as I was away for work during this time and couldn't always reply right back to them or was looking at mockups and edits on a lowly cell phone screen. After a few back and forth emails of tweaking the design, it was approved and sent into the paint shop. From the approval stage to finished it was only a couple weeks (Note: your experience may vary depending on their current volumes of work), and the job was finished just in time for an unrelated trip into Calgary with my wife and brother and we got to look around the shop and drool all over their other goodies (which they were more than happy to show us).

I am extremely happy with the product and service received, and wouldn't hesitate to go back for more custom work in the future. I would whole heartedly recommend anyone looking for custom Cerakote or milling/custom services to go to Black Box Customs!

Bought a Holosun pistol red dot from them online. Unfortunately it stopped working when it was only 3 months old. I was about to contact Holosun warranty, but thought I’d just see what Black Box Customs had to say about the problem I was inquiring.

Without any further questions, they immediately replied back with a tracking # for the new red dot they shipped me.

I received it a couple of days later, and shipped the old one back.

Very refreshing for a company to take the bull by the horns and make it so easy for the customer to resolve their issues.

Now they are at the front of my mind for any shooting sports related purchases/services.

Had my glock 34 slide milled and cerakoted by them and they did a flawless job. Excellent customer service, couldn't be happier.

This is my second time using the services of Black Box Customs which turned out to be more eventful than the first time. Long story short, Devon showed me real dedication to quality customer service when he helped me through multiple iterations of refinishing my slide to get the look I was looking for. The quality of the slide milling and frame work are also top notch.

Black Box will be my first choice in the future when it comes to slide milling and cerakoting. Thank you again to Devon and the technicians.

Black Box Customs has done two projects with me. Both turned out absolutely perfect. As mentioned in other reviews there, QC is unreal, and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. They do fantastic work.

My most recent project with them is my Remington 870 Wingmaster, and let me tell you they blew out of the water just amazing.

One of the few retailers that offers almost every OEM Glock part and at prices that cannot be beat. If they are out of stock, they can order them in for you. No other retailer in Canada has a more complete list. Not to mention, the website is phenomenal and well done. Shipping is a flat rate and arrived 2 business days after my order was placed. I will continue to do business with Blackbox for my Glock needs. I have seen there custom work firsthand and it is functional art to say the very least. Keep up the great work.
