Tough course to play. Glad I had a member with me to show me the way around. Course was in superb shape. Rates are lower than anywhere I've played in alberta for this caliber of course. I will definitely be going back to play again. Could be even tougher when the leaves come off the trees.

Course conditions not the best. Other reviewers are correct about the fairways. They are brutally dry, brown and no where near worth the price of admission. Rough and greens are ok but also dry. Sand traps are basically hard clay. Food and drink prices are high as well. Doesn’t seem like they put much of the money they make back into the course. Better options out there.

Course is fantastic and greens roll so smoothly. Definitely recommend going there for a great day of golf

A very challenging course… with that said it’s worth it! The staff works their tails off to maintain its great condition!

If this course was closer to an urban area it would be the top course, a true diamond in the rough that is worth the drive!

If you’re a golfer that simply enjoys the game, or likes being challenged (I (+6.8) used driver for 6 holes) this is a course to check out!

Trish and her team were absolutely wonderful. Black Bull hosted our large group for golf and dinner. From check in to dessert and everything in-between, the service and quality was 10/10.

Over priced for conditions over the father's day weekend. Punched and top dressed greens on the front 9. Was not informed prior and paid full pop. Other than that the back 9 was in great shape.

Course is well kept, but tough. Fairways are mostly very narrow, surrounded by mostly thick bush, very easy to loose balls. Par 3's all around 200 yards, quite the challenge. All and all, some players will love this course, others will never come back.
Food at clubhouse was excellent.
Only real complaint was course was way overbooked on a Saturday, crazy busy with 2 tournaments and walk-ons. Too many people jammed up in spots.
Overall, I would only come back to eat, not play. Not my kind of course.

Beautiful and challenging golf course. Warden was a bit rude while asking us to pick up pace, when our group didn't have anyone pushing from behind us. But overall would go again!

Course was flooded. Kept open despite the disgusting conditions. We "played" to the end hoping it would improve. It just got worse. The flooding of the course was out of management control, however, they should have closed the course. Carts probably unintentionally severely damaged fairways. Several greens were completely unplayable. Very overpriced for the condition of play.

Amazing course. Jude, Trish, Kathy and Barb do an amazing job of keeping the clubhouse running. Can always get a tee time and an ice cold beer. Water hazards suck. The good news is you'll find as many balls as you'll lose.

Challenging to very difficult depending o which tees you choose. Beautiful forested setting with interesting layout. Well worth the money.

Favorite course close to Edmonton and the greens are spectacular this early in the season. Love this place.new carts new range balls.a must go!

Let me start off by saying, I didn’t have any expectations for this course as I never heard of it before, little bit of a jaunt from the city, no big deal as I like to try out different courses. Super easy and accessible to get to right off of the highway! The course itself was in pretty decent condition I would say, the layout was nice, challenging holes, Long par 3’s. I’m only giving this a 3 star rating because of a few things. I’ve played a lot of golf, from cheap courses to some of the most expensive ones. And this is not a 100 dollar course. Is it a standard now a days for range balls to be included with the green fees, They were not. Some carts I seen had a windshield and rear rain protector flap over the clubs, ours did not. Which isn’t a big deal if the weather is nice for the whole round. But we got lucky the dark clouds just missed us. We did not see one cart girl the whole round, it was 25 degrees out and the pace was a bit slow so having to wait till the turn to grab some refreshments is annoying. The throat sliders at the clubhouse were luke warm. The bunkers are also cement hard. Don’t get me wrong the course was good. But golf is also an experience, I understand a course being outside of the city could have a little bit more of its challenges, mabye with workers or maintenance, who knows. But if you’re gonna charge 100 bucks a round for people to drive around an hour to get there, then make sure it’s worth it. Especially when Dorchester is just south of black bull and charges a lot less.

Was excited to play a new coarse. But was told that my group was going to slow and had to pick up our balls half way through the third hole. We were waiting for the group ahead of us most of the game anyway. Overbooked the coarse and rushed the players. Not fun

The staff are absolutely horrible, their organization when teeing off is nonexistent. The course is in OK shape not worth the aggravation though.

The greens are really good for this time of year. T boxes are rough need some TLC.
More rain and heat will make a big difference.

Old style course, nice play, greens nice shape.bring bug, God you got some big mosquitoes out there.lol.otherwise we enjoy ourselves.

Always a challenge and a great opportunity to see how good your game is. Course is in great shape but a little water laden.

If the greens were a touch better, i could have easily gave five stars.

Also. I had an expired groupon from 2016 that they honoured. So if anyone asked me where a great place to go i will shout them out

The Bull is one very challenging course. After the game it's great to sit on the deck enjoying the country weather. There is a nice executive 9 hole course who don't want the challenge of the championship course.

I had my son registered in your Junior Golf Camp. When I called to register him I gave his age (7) and was not asked if he had golfing experience. I was under the impression that the camp was open to anyone regardless of skill.

After our first day we were basically told not to come back.because my son was too small and not good enough. They were spending too much time with him and not enough with the other kids. (Yes, he sucked.but how will he get better if he's kicked out?) I was quite put off by this, as it seemed the instructor knew all of the other kids and wasn't interested in putting time into someone new. This was my son's first real experience with golf and he now never wants to play again.

Your website specifically says "Growing the fabulous game of golf has always been important to the Black Bull. " Obviously not true.

I'd also like to point out that some info on your website should be corrected. There are two areas where this golf camp is advertised. One specifies age and states its $100. The other has no age and states $80 (this is the one I looked at when booking). Neither specifies skill. Perhaps it should just say “If you aren’t already a part of our club, you can’t sit with us. ”.

The course was ok, but the service was horrible. The woman at the front desk was so rude. Making snide comments any time we asked for anything. They don't provide golf tees, as most other resorts do. No problem, we went in to buy some, and she rolled her eyes, sighed, threw down her pencil, and made a snarky comment on how we need to get better organised. We asked which golf cart we should take, since they had numbers on them and we didn't want to take some one else's, and she said "I don't care, just pick one! ". We will NOT be coming back to this one. We'll find some where else to go, with better customer service. I hope she was just having a bad day, but unfortunately it seems like this is the way she treats people.
The food was decent, and the waitress was lovely and helpful.

Very challenging course. It is in excellent condition this year and is playing very well. Bring your 'A' game as it is very challenging from snyyT box.
