Our dog Lucy had a great experience with Black Collar. The staff was very considerate and were kind enough to provide daily updates to give our family peace of mind that she was doing well. We’ll definitely use them again in the future.

We used to bring our dog to a different daycare and he would come back terrified. One of our neighbours suggested Black Collar Society and our dog never came back terrified. He was always happy to see the staffs and always come back tired (from playing too much with other dogs)!

Terrible place, I don’t know how they treat the animals, but they refused to pay my friends kid her final paycheck until they legally had to… and with that I’ve heard of other people not getting paid.so I can just imagine how they treat animals!

Called for a grooming appointment because my dog Rosie has been there multiple times. I was told that the groomer is having back issues and cannot groom larger dogs.
Unfortunately this in my opinion is unacceptable, if the groomer cannot take care of the public’s demands then it might be best to have a sick leave and hire another groomer.
I’m extremely disappointed that the lack of staffing has now caused a loss of a customer.

Unreliable boarding. I left my dog for the holidays and she came back hurt and bleeding. Something is missing about their version of the facts. The vet said that her tongue was necrotizing and she stated that the injury was going on for at least 24h.
I tried to get more information from the staff to understand better and the only response was that “she was perfectly fine”.
With that being said, I don’t recommend it.

As I can’t reply their reply I will add my response here.

We never agreed on the phone. We realized that she was bleeding and drooling blood less than 10’ after pick up her and the “professional” that gave her bath did not notice. This bath was free because something was wrong as you guys washed the T-shirt that we left with her during her stay (probably because it should’ve had blood stains).
As I said before, something is missing in version of the facts or you really doesn’t pay attention at the dogs you take care.
What matter for me is that my dog is recovered and healthy and to keep her like this she will not coming back.

Our dog Cara attended day care here and thanks to the team's neglect and lack of care, she ended up with significant and painful burns on her paws.

They left her outside on hot gravel for almost FIVE straight hours in near 30-degree weather. We had to take her to the vet to get her emergency care and thanks to the prolonged exposure to the heat and the chemicals in the yard, she was in significant pain and discomfort, has to be on painkillers, steroids and daily antibiotic wash. (And a $650 bill to go with it)

We contacted them to explain what happened and their answer was "she had the freedom to come inside if she chose to". What? ! They're suggesting that a a dog who is still pretty much a puppy, regulate herself in 30-degree heat?

When asked how many people tend to the dogs, they didn't answer. There seems to be no system to monitor the dogs either.
I wouldn't trust my dogs in their care under any circumstance.

To reply to your reply - would be happy to share the email correspondence where you put blame on the dog for not coming inside. Happy to post photos of the vet bill. What more do you need?
