I just received a photo of the arrangement I sent to my friend in Calgary, it is absolutely stunning! I am so happy I came across your website. Your portfolio contains a fabulous selection to choose from. The flowers arrived when they were supposed to and they are a work of art!

I had the pleasure of choosing Black Earth Florals for my needed celebratory bouquets today. Walking in you are greeted with a welcoming sight of stunning floral arrangements and beautiful plants and pots.

I had asked for a bouquet of specifically purple flowers expecting to be told that they would need a day or something to that effect. Instead I was accommodated immediately with warmth, fun stories, banter and a touch of sass. Most welcomed I promise, like hanging out with the girlfriends!

Before I knew it, 5 minutes had gone by and I was presented with the most elaborate, gorgeous bouquet of flowers, far exceeding anything my own creativity could possibly even think up! To say impressive feels like an understatement. The only word that came out of my mouth was “wizards” for Merlin himself could not possibly come up with such beauty in such a short period of time.

Although a need for flowers daily might not be needed, the want I feel to go back to just soak up the space they have created is real. Cannot recommend these ladies and shop more. Treat yourself at Black Earth Florals!

I have ordered flowers from Black Earth several times in the past year for a special friend in Calgary. The service is always great, personable and helpful. And the arrangements/bouquets have been very lovely.

Black earth is so amazing! They make the most beautiful bouquets and are the kindest group to work with. They remember the guest by name. They turn flowers into works of art.

Going to Black Earth Flora is a joy through and through every time. From the aesthetics and welcoming ora of the store to the always amusing and trendy home decor items, or the fun and heart warming literature. Theres always something more you want to take home with you along side your beautiful arrangement of flowers. Or at least come back for haha. I've discovered Black Earth Flora In September of 2019 and haven't went anywhere els since! Even after they moved their location to the other side of the city ;) Thank you ladies for all the flower knowledge, kind wonderful service, and keeping me know as "Thee Flower God" You ladies definitely out did your selves on my most recent bouquet. I was so excited to discover Black Earth and all their beautiful flowers for sale - after looking high and low in the city for literally anyone who could sell individual stems with actual character and beauty about them, not your generic big industry, run-of-the-mill terribleness, I stumbled upon their bountiful cooler of fresh and unique blooms. Not only did they have such lovely florals, their staff was also so entirely accommodating and friendly and went out of their way to store my stems in their cooler until I needed them. On top of this, they allowed me to swap some for different varieties after having a change of heart over night and did so with the same level of above-and-beyond customer service I received the day prior. My husband and I will definitely be back again and again!

We engaged Karla at Black Earth Floral for our wedding in Calgary on October 9,2022. Firstly, our florals were the actual most beautiful florals I have ever seen. They were perfect, they were exactly in the style and colour palette that we had discussed months earlier, and we were blown away. Secondly, from the start, Karla was so easy to work with. Super friendly and collaborative, and she didn’t try to upsell us when we were pretty sure we were looking for a more limited scope, including small bud-vase installations for our tables instead of large centrepieces. She helped us explore and get at the aesthetic we were looking for, and it turned out perfectly. In the lead-up to our wedding, she was patient when we sent her follow-up info about our colour palette having shifted, and all the info we sent clearly made its way into our file, because the final product responded to the update! And she was super communicative in advance when it turned out one of the flowers we had requested would not be available in time for our wedding. We have recommended and would recommend Karla and the BEF team to anyone getting married. We absolutely loved her!

I ordered Simply Summer Botanicals and what was received was not at all the same. They sent something that looked very much like fall and had none of the same colours. Though the bouquet was nice I'm very disappointed that this arrangement looked nothing like what I ordered and had none of my best friend's favorite colours.

Great flowers, friendly, knowledgeable staff and excellent customer service. This was my first experience with Black Earth Floral Gallery and it couldn't have been better. I wanted to deal with a locally owned, independent florist so I could pick out something fresh and different. I was greeted by Marina, who asked a bit about the recipient for context, what I liked, and my budget. She clearly took an interest while not being pushy, and she offered some great suggestions and advice. I chose quite a stunning bouquet, and arranged to have it delivered. The recipient was delighted with the flowers, but unfortunately a couple of days later they began to prematurely wilt. They had been delivered on an exceptionally hot day, and likely were left in a hot vehicle for too long by the delivery service after leaving the store, clearly outside of the florist's control. I called Marina back and she was most apologetic. Within half an hour of sending a couple of photos, I got a call back from Karla, the store owner. I found her to be delightful. She expressed her disappointment that the flowers weren't holding up as expected, and she offered to send out a replacement bouquet. Within an hour, Marina personally showed up at my friend's door with an equally lovely bouquet. We were both so impressed! What nice people and what exceptional customer service! It's the combination of great flowers and caring, customer-focused staff that makes this business shine. I will definitely order from Black Earth Floral Gallery in the future.

I cannot say enough how amazing this florist shop is! I live out of province but have ordered several floral bouquets and arrangements and each one has been spectacular. So happy to have a 'favourite' florist to rely upon!

Close friends, who are more like family, had devastating news. The wife and mother had brain surgery, worrying everyone. Happily, the surgery was successful but it was uncertain when she would be discharged from the Hospital. That is when I spoke with Marina who understood our predicament and committed to have flowers delivered in a timely manner for our friend's arrival home. Marina took care of everything: recommended the floral arrangement, set up the card, coordinated with Brittania Wine Market and arranged for the delivery earlier than previously planned. While the floral arrangement was superb, it was Marina's empathy and compassion that made me feel valued as a client and ultimately helped me deliver an incredibly important gesture to our special friend. I am grateful for the Black Earth Floral Gallery and Marina.

Definitely the best flower gallery in Calgary! The flowers are always fresh and beautiful and the staff are incredibly attentive and always ready to make up a custom arrangement! I can’t say enough great things about them!

Oh how do I list all of the ways I love Black Earth Floral? ! Although I miss when they were closer to me at their old NW location, their Britannia location is BEAUTIFUL and it is an instant serotonin boost walking through the door! Their florals are absolutely gorgeous every-single-time, and they have so many other great things like lovely candles and the cutest cards. A seasonal indulgence of mine is getting a planter and wreath made, which are continually incredible and so beautifully made and I’m always blown away. And even though they are a floral shop, I’ve bought many great houseplants there too. Seriously B. E.is a total yyc treasure, I recommend you visit as soon as possible ;).
