Black Market Tattoo

Glen is my artist n the runs the west end shop - haven't been tattooed here yet. But the shop was super clean and nice vibe when I stopped by the other day.

Cody is a cool artist, very easy to get along with. The rest of the staff that I encountered were chill people, everyone got along, and the vibe was very chill.

I went to this shop to get a tattoo from a friend from high school and was a nightmare for scheduling and had another tattoo to tie into and Cody gave me a sweet piece! Lots of compliments bro thanks

Everyone is so friendly! I was so relaxed. Everyone makes you feel welcome. Kiki is such an amazing tattoo artist and artist. She was able to take my late mother's signature and tattoo it perfectly on my arm with a realistic rose beside it. I highly recommend her for any art you are looking at getting. She is true talent. She has an incredible eye for detail. You won't be disappointed with her work. Can't wait for my next piece with her.

The vibe in this shop is extremely welcoming and chill. Clean, and well maintained. The artists pitch in to help eachother and are never just sitting idle. Gray did my tattoo. He was extremely professional from design work to the actual tattooing. Will definitely be coming back for future designs.

I got a tattoo done at Black Market Calgary trail July 2020, the artist that I had was very professional & did a wonderful job on my piece! Fast forward to today (Jan 23 2021) I tried to call in to the shop to see if they keep record of who I had as I don't remember her name, the man on the other end of the phone said they do keep track of who has what client but " it would take a lot of effort " for him to do that, I said I would appreciate if he could as I am trying to book in with that same artist, he flat out told me he was not going to do that for me, and that no one employed by black market would.seems odd that they don't want the bookings at their studio? Especially after being locked down for 6 + weeks. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately I will not be returning to black market because of this experience, I was trying to book in for matching tattoos with 5 of my sisters, we will be taking our money & business to a shop that appreciates it!

I’ve had a tattoo done by Glen years ago in clareview and it was good. Recently, I had one done by Melee at the South side location. I am very impressed. Great job! Clean shop, I will definitely be back. Both of my experiences have been amazing at the shops. Been recommended to Black Market from my family and friends. Very happy with their work! I recommend them to anyone.

Loved my tattoos by Lucy. I wasn't able to do a walk in but she booked me in for just a few days later. Great atmosphere and a reasonable rate. Definitely appreciated that it is not cash only. Will be back for future tattoos for sure

This was my second time going to Black Market Tattoo and getting a tattoo done by Lucy. Not only did Lucy spend a week going back and forth on emails to get the idea of how I wanted my tattoo to look but she blew my expectations out of the water. Lucy drew my tattoo exactly how I wanted and the tattoo turned out amazing. Can't wait for her to do my next tattoo.

Once you open the shop's door, you will find friendly environment inside. When you talk to them, you'll feel comfort. You'll know instantly you have met the tattoo expert when you see the result. I highly! Recommend this tattoo place. Honestly the best place in all of Edmonton. Great Atmosphere and you will always feel welcome there. My tattoo artist is Luke and i can say that he is an amazing, artistic, and patient tattooist. I have been going to Luke at Black Market Tattoo now for over 3 years. Already have another appointment booked and plan on for more. I've seen other work from the other artist and they are all amazing. If your looking to get tatted go to BLACK MARKET TATTOO! You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Just had my 2nd tattoo done by Glen and I absolutely love it. Everyone in the shop is super friendly and the open layout is great. Very clean, you can see all the supplies that are being used and packaging is opened in front of you. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great artists and friendly down to earth atmosphere.

This shop is amazing, Always a lot of fun and lots of great staff. Conrad is insanely talented and you will not be disappointed.

I've had 2 tattoos here. One by Luke, which is beautiful.
The other one was by Lucy. It is in a spot I cannot hide, and I just went for my 3rd lazer removal appointment because it's that bad.
I do not recommend seeing Lucy if you go.

Got a tattoo on my wrist. The work was done nice and Artist was very professional. Sadly tattoo faded on shading within 6 months, after healing very nicely. Can see outline on majority of tattoo but barely any shading.

Highly recommend! Very clean.bright atmosphere and everyone is friendly. Conrad does fabulous work and makes you feel comfortable

Just recently had an old tattoo covered up and some new art added to cover up.my tattoo artist, lucy, was very patient with me and definitely understood what i was looking for.it was a very fun experience as the group of artists they have seem to have a great family dynamic and the way the shop is set up is great as you are not isolated in a little room with just the artist working on you.just a large room with 4 stations which is nice for conversation, both for the artists and the customers.i will be going back for more work and will be spreading the word to all my friends and coworkers.great shop, great people, great atmosphere

Just got my first tattoo here and it was comfortable. Glen took his time to go over everything with me and i left with an awesome tattoo!

I've been going to Conrad at Black Market since the day I turned 18, and he's taken great care of me ever since. 5 years and 8 tattoos later I can say with conviction that he's an incredible artist and his work is next level stuff!

Conrad has always shown concern if I seemed woozy, supported my ideas, explained his process and reasons for design, and has been accommodating of my schedule (I've lived in 3 cities since then, but I will only go to Black Market for ink on my body). I get asked very often in BC who did my tattoos and how they did such a great job, I'm happy to throw some love back to Conrad in Edmonton

The whole team is great and I love going in. Glen is hilarious and a great guy, Shaun makes you feel at home and always has a good story, Brooke will show me whatever great design she's working on, and Lucy is an easy person to be friends with. Everyone there is talented and loves what they do so I'd highly recommend, check out their portfolios and you'll see ;)
