Dean, Luis and crew were great to work with. They were accommodating with a couple minor changes after the project started. Ours was completed later in the season so we haven't had a chance to use it yet, but we are very much looking forward to summer!

Blue Aspen did our landscaping and I couldn’t be happier. We have a challenging lot with quite a steep side grade. Dean immediately visualized how to make it work and provided a great plan. The team was always professional and respectful of us and our neighbours. The end result is beautiful and I highly recommend Blue Aspen.

Blue Aspen did a lot of work on our yard for us, including patio paving stone installation, along with a dividing wall in our front yard; a large deck in our back yard, and installation of new sod and border trim in our back yard. They were very professional and very willing to work with us to ensure we were happy with the results. We are extremely pleased with everything they did for us, and we would highly recommend them.

These guys are phenomenal! Perfectionists at work, doing what they love to do, makes for a job very well done. We had multiple things done on our acreage landscaping, two new decks, concrete stairs and walkways. Dean took care of everything definitely recommend.

We just finished our backyard project with Blue Aspen which included a retaining wall and fire pit seating area. We can’t say enough great things about how well the project went. From the initial phone call, through the design, to the completion of the project, surpassed our expectations. We were thrilled with the results! Blue Aspen recently worked on my neighbours yard. Even though we weren’t the people paying, they were always exceptionally friendly and respectful. I won’t hesitate to hire them the next time I need some landscaping done.

We reached out to Blue Aspen for what we thought was a very reasonable and simple landscaping job; backfilling, grading, softscaping, and prep for a deck.

Their first question was "Is this under ten thousand dollars of work? ", and they asked me to provide them an estimate (keep in mind that I was calling THEM for an estimate). I guessed between three and five thousand dollars of work, and they immediately declined the job; stating "they are trying to avoid running around" (what does that even mean?).

They then offered to call back with a referral, which I gratefully accepted, and I waited, and waited, and never heard from them.

The whole experience was bizarre and unprofessional. I don't think anyone would have an issue with a business catering to a specific size or value of contract - that makes complete sense.

However, what I take issue with is that they don't make this information available anywhere on their website, instead, forcing people to waste a bunch of time chasing them down for no reason.

On top of that, it's reasonable to expect that if a business offers to help you find an alternative in the form of a referral, that they actually follow through. Not following through on such a simple and easy commitment is a waste of time for everyone, comes across as disingenuous, and makes me wonder how much I can rely on this company to do ANY sized project when basic follow-through doesn't come across as a core value.

Lastly, to be clear, I even tried to meet them in the middle in an effort to secure their services (because their work seems excellent) and offered to increase the scope of work to meet this budget minimum, depending on how their referral assessed the job. I also received a wholesome agreement that this made sense.

Instead, I hear nothing back, not even a "sorry, we're just too busy to assist".

All-in-all, it was a very strange interaction, and struck me as a bit bourgeoisie. I guess they are after those lucrative bearspaw and lower springbank contracts.c'est la vie

The team with Blue Aspen made the entire process finishing our backyard smooth. They had some really good suggestions about how the layout could be adjusted to maximize our small backyard space. We love it! And the process was smooth and the work got done close to their timelines.

Took a deposit for design work, kept us hanging for 5-6 weeks before finally admitting they could not do it and backing out, with the window to get the work done this summer now mostly closed. I'm actually amazed at the lack of professionalism and disregard for our time.

We got our landscaping done with Blue Aspen. It has been such a pleasure to work with Dean. We did not have past experience and Dean provided very valuable help & suggestions and delivered exactly what we agreed. They worked based on our budget. The quality of their work was very good. There was small delay because of rain n we were travelling. Once the work was done we pointed out few minor issues and they made sure to take care of everything. I was extremely happy.

Blue Aspen recently did our walkout area which included a tiered retaining wall, large stone patio and pergola. Absolutely stunning! Their crew was very professional, polite and suggested a few changes, which we agreed to. So happy we did! Price was very reasonable as well. This was our second time using Blue Aspen and we will not hesitate to use them again.

Blue Aspen did my neighbour's landscaping project. If you want to stay friendly and treat your neighbours properly, then I would recommend you DO NOT use this firm. For just under 2 weeks, they used the road way directly in front of our house as staging area for: piles of rock and shale; piles of small sedimentary rock and of course daily piles of loam and dirt. Many times they blocked our driveway access. When I brought my concerns to the attention of the owner by a phone call he said he would get it removed immediately This did not happen. Then I brought it to the attention of the site foreman and he berated me for making his job harder. The owners of the property were away on holiday so I could not bring it to their attention. To make matters more frustrating, the property that they were working on has a huge driveway and parking area that they could have easily used for a staging area.
