Christmas tree lasted literally 3 days until it turned and dried out. This beats out the record for last year, which we thought was an anomaly at one week after purchase before it died. Our family owns a tree farm in Ontario so we understand evergreens pretty well. Just too far to ship one tree. These guys are not to be trusted with buying Christmas trees. It's too bad, they seemed like a good place.

We had an amazing experience here! Our Christmas tree died 3 days before Christmas and they were one of the last spots in Calgary with trees. They were so nice and cheerful and they definitely saved our Christmas! The nice young man strapped it safely to our car. And their sales associate Butter absolutely made us feel welcome. I will come here every year! Thank you Blue Grass Nursery!

The way they treat customers is downright pathetic. When we bought the plants, we were told the return period is 30 days. Two of the plants didn't seem healthy after three weeks with us, so we took them for return. They did not accept the return saying the return window is 15 days. We would have totally accepted that if they were a bit more polite and discussed this. But the person who was the manager was extremely rude in conveying this message. Dude, we are not one-time customers. You could deny a return and be polite at the same time. What do they think, there's no other nursery in town? What a joke!

If you're getting bluegrass to plant your trees for you insist they take the burlap and cage off the base of the tree ball. I have spent thousands of dollars on trees from bluegrass over the last couple of decades. Almost all of them have died. I cut the trees down and dig out the stump and I can see the tree roots never penetrated the burlap and the trees had about 10 years of a chance to get through but they never do. I don't care what they tell you when it comes to them planting trees they don't know what they're talking about.

Decent assortment of shrubs, trees and accessories/home items inside, however not a great selection of perennials, annuals and herbs. Huge mark up on the garden accessories inside, including simple wire trellis $49.99 (picture included), and outdoor ceramics. I saw a very similar product at the dollar store for $5. Quality might not be entirely the same, however $50 for garden lattice is pretty wild. They also didn’t carry simple spray roses, which was a bit disappointing. You also have to pay $10/year for a membership to get a discount. Might be worth it for some, but for someone that doesn’t purchase things often like me it wasn’t worth it. Staff seemed helpful enough.

I purchased four potted 10” Swedish aspen trees last summer. I started the warranty claim as one tree didn’t make it, which was approved. In order to get the replacement, we need to dig out the claimed tree and brought it in for the new tree to be processed. I went to the store to propose that the old tree can be removed at the same time as the new one is transplanted, the manager very loudly refused to accept the claim since I had not brought the old tree, I explained that I don't have the ability to remove it, nor the means of transport. Finally, the Manager agreed to process the new tree, so I had to pay $200 again to transport and plant the new tree, which I was informed by the way that there were no trees available of the same size, only a few much smaller ones. I, the customer, had to assume the entire cost of delivery and planting of the new the tree and accepting a much smaller tree compared to the one I originally bought (it is worth mentioning that a credit was received for the difference in size). I just want to share that in this case customer service is not a priority for this business. I think the minimum that the store can do if they want to keep customers is to bear at least part if not all the cost of transporting and planting the new tree.

Poor customer service today displayed by the tag team of, Scott Stoner and Drabana at this business. If you want rude staff and false accusations of what you did to your dead product, this is the place. Never will recommend nor return. Absolutely plenty of other great garden centres in Calgary.

Very inconsiderate people. First time is an honest mistake, second time is intentional. Thanks for not taking my request seriously. Apparently your egos are larger than your will to have your business be well reputed in the community.

Was impressed with the staff that helped us and was kind enough to warn us that it’s too early to plant some kind of flowers as it is still too cold and still expecting some frost or snow this mid of May. Will surely come back to get those plants after mid May

Disappointing - no longer can you take your dog in store. This used to be an option but no longer. Wish companies would be more pet friendly, especially a garden centre. I won’t be going back unless they have an AMAZING sale. First and last trip in one.

Daryl is awesome! The yard guys deserve a lot of credit. Daryl will always trouble shoot to help us get things done ; loading rock into a truck with a topper when no one else wanted to do it at any other nursery. I will always come to Bluegrass. He will move boulders around to get us the ones we need etc. Daryl is an awesome guy to work with. Thanks for everything you do to make our life easy in an industry that can be tough! You are the man!

What sort of plant store doesn’t allow dogs? Used to enjoy this plant store until I found that out today. Won’t be making the drive out of the city for this location anymore, disappointing.

Awful return policy, and so so hard to find a time to go when they are open. 3 star instead of 1 because the plant selection is fantastic, though it is sometimes overpriced (even compared to golden acre in calgary, which has a better selection)

Excellent place to get even the smallest or the big stuff for your garden; and they also do commercial garden care!

Lots of healthy looking plants at reasonable prices, and seemingly any tools you might need to care for them.

Great nursery. Lots of items to select from. Great prices. Tons of plants. The Christmas set up is gorgeous and a great variety of items.

My favourite plant store in Calgary by far. Every plant I’ve bought has been healthy and pest free, and the home décor section has lots of cool finds:)
