Highly recommended, my favourite brunch/lunch place in the city.

Always a wonderful experience going here. Very allergen aware staff and menus. They cook for my celiac boyfriend all the time with no issues. Food is always delicious, and their housemade jams are a treat. Coffee is great and they offer milk substitutes for those who need/want.

Servers here are always great, and the menu gives a lot of options that I couldn't just whip up in my own kitchen. Well balanced dishes that clwarly a lot of thought went into.

First visit to Blue Star Diner and what an experience! If you're seeking an incredibly inclusive restaurant, look no further. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place based on TikTok reviews, and we were not disappointed. The food is genuinely fantastic – the homemade jam left us amazed. Without a doubt, we'll be returning for more!

Chilaquiles and the coconut water margarita are incredible. Tacos for taco night pretty mediocre, unfortunately.

Visit this popular vintage-inspired diner if you want friendly service and solid food. They have a large drink menu featuring local breweries and ‘kombuchuries’, not to mention some zero-proof bevies as well!

We loved this place! Great food, healthy sized portions, welcoming service, cleverly decorated.
We were able to use the waitlist which was very convenient and not longer than promised.
I wish we lived closer! We will return next time we’re in the city!

Came here for breakfast and shared the salmon avocado eggs benedict and the huevos rancheros. The food was amazing, fresh and bursting with delicious flavor! The staff was super friendly!

Visiting Calgary for a few days. The blue star diner had amazing food. The pancakes were absolutely out of this world! The service was great! We had to wait 30mins as busy Sunday service but it was totally worth it. Thoroughly recommend!

The food is great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Don’t sleep on the weekly sandwich feature! My favorite time to come is Wednesdays for dinner when the burgers/sandwiches are on special. I’ve never had a bad or even mediocre experience here

The food was good! They got my order wrong at first but quickly fixed it. But then about 2 hours after eating I got horrible food poisoning. My dad also had stomach issues right after we left. RIP to our guts!

The gluten-free corn bread was incredible, I had it with the sauteed kale and mushrooms Benedict. So delicious!

It was my first time dining here and I've heard a lot of good things about this place so I decided to give it a try. I got the smoked salmon Bennie with a side of maple pork sausages. The food is amazing and good portion size too. I also tried their drink, BSD fruit frizz which was also great, very refreshing and good for those who like mocktails. The service was excellent, my server was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is cute and they have a little patio as well, the only thing though is there can be a few flies roaming around the place which can be bothersome. Other than that, I was impressed and this place is now on my top brunch spots here in Calgary and would love to come back again!

I loved Blue Star, and have been going there for years. I went there this afternoon with a friend that lives in Bridgeland. It started somewhat pleasant and as one of the servers arrived. A second server approached who had a professional issue with my friend from the past. As a guest, my friend approached the situation with grace and kindness. In return, we were treated with negativity and hostility and questioned on our presence. The unprofessional responses to a patron in a workplace were very off putting and uncomfortable for me and we felt inclined to leave prior to our order arriving. Blue Star has always been amazing at food and a warm spot in the community. This experience has unfortunately made me question bringing clients in the future for fear of feeling unwelcome.

Impeccable staff and great food. The breakfast burrito was great and the grilled cheese was delicious although it could have been more cheesy. Would definitely come back again. Also dog friendly.

Fantastic breakfast spot. One of our favorites in Calgary. Good variety and food always comes out in decent time (they like to rotate tables quick as it is popular). Can't make reservations, but you can add yourself to the waitlist.

This place is great. Nice friendly staff. Food is great. Nice fresh ingredients and tastes great. Best burger I've had in a long time. I also had the Bison Chilli and it was delicious. Just enough spice to give it a little kick but still tolerable. My husband had the Lamb Naanwich and he really enjoyed it. It had lots of meat, good flavor and not too messy. The adult shakes are good for dessert.

Excellent food and service. The breakfast burrito was one of the best my husband has ever had. I was pleased with the gluten free chicken and cornbread-style waffle that was prepped to be Celiac friendly for me. Small place that definitely was busy during stampede week - the staff were hustling and working hard to keep up!

Went there early for brunch on a weekday so was kind of empty. They were friendly but unfortunately the brunch was just basic. The chorizo was mild and i think the jam was house made which made it interesting but it was just ok.

Fantastic food, and cool little space. Great staff too! Perfectly good place to bring kids.
