Blush Lane Organic Market Marda Loop

Blush is a gem in Marda Loop. It is a large store, filled with the healthiest organic food imaginable, including produce, packaged items and ready to eat dinners made in Calgary (sumptuous). A huge selection of cosmetic products are in a section at one end. Staff are attentive, helpful, and are invested in their work. This is a shopping experience you will not want to miss.

If you are looking for an organic product, they have it. Well stocked. Don't expect to save money, you will pay to eat and keep healthy.

Fantastic staff as always! I loved their tea samples today, it inspired me to try a new brand. I love shopping here for their warm environment.

I have been their regular customer since we moved to the area. Buying organic food for my daughter. Usually spending $100 to $150 a week. It also happens that I am doing deliveries on one of the food platforms. Picking up a pizza took way longer than it was supposed to be and while I was waiting the lady was mad at me for the reason she didn't say and then she said she couldn't give me a pizza because I didn't have a proper bag. I have been using a food delivery isolated bag for a while and I am a diamond status delivery driver. With my satisfaction rate between 95 and 100 percent.
She also refused to give me a pizza box to show her that my bag was perfectly fine. I had to contact my delivery platform and tell them about the issue. They gave me a cancellation fee right away and said I was absolutely right. The customer waiting for the pizza I feel bad for him but I let him know what happened so that he was aware why his pizza can't make it to his place for probably an hour or so. I also left a voicemail for a store manager and hoping he will get back to me. I just want to thank him for serving the community and to let them know about what happened and also that I won't be bringing my 3 year old daughter to shop there as apparently $100-$150 a week is not much nowadays for an elite organic store with a great customer service. If the store manager doesn't contact me I would like to say one more time thank you to this store and will gladly keep exploring other organic stores in this beautiful city.
1 star because I can't put 0 stars as I also felt that being a delivery driver means the pizza maker can look down on you and be mad at you for whatever reason without even explaining. Or maybe having a bad day at work doesn't mean you have to talk like this to other people with lower income. Btw guess what another driver with a real pizza bag was stuck there as well for whatever reason. So probably everyone need to do their job instead of telling others how to do theirs. Just saying on a positive note the lady who made pizzas there on Sunday, long weekend around 2 pm enjoy your long weekend and have a wonderful day

I stop by at least once a week and they’re always stocked with my favourite drink! The blond cashier always helps me right away and is very, very sweet!

I just discovered this market. Great location for Marda Loopers? It is a higher cost boutique type market. Its not your box store grocery chain but thank goodness it isn't. I was only picking up a health herb but walked around and they have everything from pre-made sandwiches and meals up to full market vegetables and meats. They seem to cater to vegans as a point for all those so afflicted. Lol. Just kidding. Definitely worth a visit.

I was looking for a dried figs and found it here. Very accessible along 33 Ave SW and they have variety of organic products. MegaFood vitamins are also available. Nice

Can someone please change the music. Not everyone is stuck in time and loves 70sand 80s music, 40 years after its peak of success and popularity.

Had absolutely every ingredient I needed, that you can't find in most other chain grocery stores!

Community natural foods is the only natural food place left that doesn't discriminate against their customers. I also found too many times molded food and you can't tell till you open it. Check dates on everything you buy here.

I have a legal mask exemption and was denied service here. I had recently visited Cochrane where masks are no longer required and we are possibly days away from having the mask requirements lifted in Calgary, yet I was still denied. I was shopping here at the height of Covid - no mask no problem. You just lost another customer. I won’t ever set foot in this store again!

Recently went into the market and had a great experience.
Myles was the gentleman that helped me pick out one of the great local coffees you offer. His knowledge is truly above some of the best baristas I have spoken to. Really great experience and love that your team is so knowledgable.

I can't imagine anyone posting positive reviews about a place that price-gouges consumers terribly.

I have a legal exemption to masks. Sign says no exemptions but can for kids 2 and under which would be an exemption. As a person with multiple food allergies and autoimmune disease that makes shopping really difficult I rely on being able to go into specialty stores. As an organic health store I would believe them to understand that not everyone is able to do exactly what is asked. Will never shop here again.

Edit: You are not following policy dr. Hinshaw has clearly stated there are exemptions and you have refused to allow them in

This store is publicly discriminating against people with medical conditions this is against the law in Canada and I will be taking you to court. Yes you are a private business but guess what You are a public venue meaning you cannot discriminate and refuse people's service based on health/medical conditions, read the literature in the law. This is not about keeping your staff and your customers safe so do not respond with that this is virtue signaling at its finest with anti-science hogwash. The law very clearly states that you cannot be fined for having a person with an exemption in your store not wearing a mask. But you can be sued by that person with an exemption if you deny them service to your public venue. The same thing would happen if you said that a person couldn't come in your store if they were in a wheelchair or if they had some kind of medical condition that you did not approve of. The law in Canada is there to protect all people.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you with all of the amazing products they offer. I find this place addictive to go to even when I don't need anything

My wife and I love this place. We eat plant-based whole foods and Blush Lane is a regular stop for us on a weekly basis. They offer hard to find items like "Soy Curls" at competitive prices.

This used to be our go to organic store. I didn’t care that it was a little not expensive as I wanted to support local businesses. However after some very poor customer service and discrimination I will not be back.

Edit: after manager reached out to me, my review remains the same. He did not try to understand or had anything to say to how we were treated at his store. Truly disappointing.

Great upscale neighborhood market, and a break from the standard big box grocery stores. Terrific organic selection, very international in flavors and products. Try their bakery and deli selections.very tasty!

Blush Lane has a great selection of organic produce and I can always find the specialty items I am looking for! Service at this location is always great!

I usually have pretty good experience there: staff is helpful and friendly, produce is fresh and lasts long, etc. Unfortunately one has to watch items on sale. It happens a lot that even though the item is on sale it would still be regular priced at the till. So one has to be vigilant!

As a passionate cook professionally and at home this is hands down my favorite place to shop. It's like a farmers market in my own neighborhood.

A great location if your looking for organic, and other hard to locate supplies for cooking. They offer freshly prepared salads, fresh made sandwiches and an awesome selection of not the ordinary pop and organic juices! The staff are great and very helpful!

As advertised. A specialty grocery store. Prepackaged premium cuts of meat at a premium price. Nice selection of organics

Generally very helpful staff. Good selection of natural and vegan products. Pricing is about what you would expect from a specialty market but they have very good sale prices. The wellness club is a good deal if you buy natural and organic health and beauty products. I prefer this location to the Aspen one for selection.

Probably the best grocery store for getting organic and natural foods. The staff is very friendly too.

Great place, but prices are unreasonable for most people, although I get that's the deal with organic it would probably be a hell of alot busier if they dropped their prices 10%+. Also absolutely nuts that they don't take Amex with prices like that.

The store has variety of organic fresh produce and nice products but some of the STAFF are awfully rude, not welcoming and not friendly at all. I used to shop here every week but never again!

Like the area and the shop offers a good variety of organic products. On the side you can lock your bike there, or keep your pooch there waiting. Front street parking plus back alley with a few extra stalls, really handy especially for Marda Loop!
One learning, please pay attention to your receipt, some promotional discounts are not automatically applied at checkout, I only found out when I looked at the receipt at home (which I don't always take). I guess as the customer we have to do our due diligence too.

Love the food and the service here. A bit pricey but a wonderful selection of health related foods

I went to buy a scoby for my kombucha brew and was shocked to see they're selling them for $30.99. Scobys are created with each brew (basically free to make). Needless to say, despite being an enthusiastic Spud consumer, I am disappointed.

The staff at this store are the biggest jerks I have had the displeasure of coming across. Like seriously you work at a grocery store you have nothing to be arrogant about quit projecting your inner misery and negativity onto the customers. Literally beyond rude and made me have such an awful experience they just lost a lot bussiness.

Very convenient and main reason why I shop there - as opposed to Community Natural foods - because Blush Lane is often more expensive. Lovely people at tills (have to mention Aya, Olivia, Kathleen, Katia and also Miranda). But. I was trying to buy some red cabbage the other day. I did not need 2kg head of cabbage, so I asked if one could be cut in half. That seemed to be a problem, as "we wouldn't be able to sell the rest". The suggestion was to purchase small plastic container with shredded cabbage. I chose to not buy any (will go elsewhere). The store is busy every time I shop there (at least twice a week). Perhaps they cater to families who can use a large head of cabbage without it sitting in the fridge for weeks? I gave up on speaking with the manager earlier (last year?). Back then I bought some apples and left one cut up on the counter (forgot about it). The apple did not turn brown, so I was curious as to why. I asked in the store, no one seemed to know. I left two messages with my phone number for the manager - never heard back. I will, of course, continue shopping there, not only for the convenience but the lovely people I mentioned, who remember one's name and are just fabulous. Thank you!

This is a super supermarket full of organic foods, beautifully displayed. A pleasure to shop in! Ok more expensive then a normal supermarket but as would be expected for organic foods.but then not as expensive as I expected! Lovely friendly till operator

If you're shopping health-conscious in anyway shape or form the blush Lane organic market should be at the top of your list if you are in the area. They have more variety than any competitor within many kilometers, staff is extremely friendly and willing to help anyway they can, and there is absolutely nothing on their shelves besides straight quality.

10/10 would recommend to anyone into health and fitness
