BAD customer service when your bank account is frauded. No one knows what to do, who to talk to, no one calls you to see what charges are yours and what aren't, they keep telling you to come in, when you come in they tell you to call. It goes around like this for AT LEAST a month with your funds all frozen so RENT cannot be paid, Bill's pile up, you have to pay late fees.etc. Until they figure out what THEY think happened. You may still end up losing money that was YOURS in the first place and there is no follow up to make sure you got back what was taken.

As a bank you would THINK your money is secure, that's why you put it there, right? Wrong. They offer no actual security, if your phone gets stolen someone can simply log on and change all your information and even going in with valid ID does not help. DO NOT recommend, DO NOT want my accounts but I have all my direct deposits set up and it would take too much effort or I would change banks. Oh and they charge you extra fees if you use your debit card too much but give you no information of how many times you over used it, where you overused it, ect. How can you use your own debit card TOO MUCH?

Just a barrage of bad experiences and customer service on a number of levels. Again - DO NOT RECCOMEND BMO.

This branch is an example of inefficient customer service, although tellers are nice, they lack required speed. What I have noticed, unlike tellers, manager and assistance manager are not as nice to customers, which is very disappointing. During my few visit to this branch, I have witnessed, how customers leaving the branch upset after long wait in line up, not fair.

Well after almost a year, I could see improvement in overall bank customer service. But, what I notice with the new bank manager is that she needs to change how she interacts with some customers. Obviously, bank like many other business, that directly work with customers, might come across people that are rude, under influence of drug or alcohol or even being under pressure for financial issues, these customers might be confused, rude, loud or hostile. I believe under these circumstances, branch manager should stay calm and professional and use effective communication, instead off taking things personally and start shouting and screaming and saying: get out.get out, non stop, which seemed to make the situation worse.
As I said she needs to stay calm and professional, ask customer firmly but politely to leave for three times and let the customer know that she will call the police. And finally call the police if she has too.

So unprofessional and lacking knowledge and or supports to facilitate online banking needs. Wasted about 2 hours of time between bank and service call Center.

Worst branch ever. Staff is not well trained. Manager keeps coming in and out to help. The person in front of my gave the teller some check from a Texas bank, the teller didn't know what Texas was or how to pronounce it and something that should have taken 1-2 minutes took over 10 minutes to sort out. Someone needs to tell these banks that they DON'T have to only hire relatives of the branch manager, it is okay to hire others on merit. I guess no one cares about discrimination.

I had a bad experience with the tellers here. It seems like they didn't want to help and being on the phone was more important to them, rather than focus on helping clients and getting the line up of ppl waiting, taken care of. Just remember that BMO charges you to hold your money, while simultaneously providing terrible service. Sad customer here. Will probably just go to BMO in Londonderry instead of BMO Oliver.

The staff at this BMO branch is very helpful and friendly. There are branches closer to my home, but when staff interaction is important, I chose to use the Kingsway branch.

Good Afternoon BMO;

My name is Deepalkumar Harshad Patel (Deep). I am banking with BMO since 2017. BMO is my major bank account and I do all my major day-to-day transactions with BMO. Yesterday (12th April, 2021) morning i checked my account and noticed that my account was blocked and asked me to contact customer service. I called customer service and they told me that I need to go to the branch with 2 pieces of ID to get it unblocked. I went in the Branch with 2 Pieces of ID and Confirmed my identification.
I went to the following branch address. "2330 Kennedy Road, Unit E, Scarborough. " Transit Number - 29242. I spoke to a Branch Representation Henry.
Henry emailed the Fraud department twice and also talked to his manager. While being in the branch I called customer service twice. I was in the branch for more than an 1 Hour but i didn't receive a proper answer for why my account is blocked. Henry and the customer agent told me that i will get a call in the next 2 hours yesterday, but received NONE.

The next day after 28 Hours I got a call from Edmonton Oliver Square Branch 11331 104 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5K 2S1 (my home branch). The Branch manager (Ryan Cui) called me and told me that he will start the investigation today as he was off yesterday.
Till the next 2 days I did not received any answer from Edmonton branch manager. I continuously kept calling the branch number and spoke to the teller’s they kept on telling me that Ryan was busy and he will call me back soon. But I never received the call neither the manager for BMO picked up my call. I repeatedly called the bank more than 16 times. At last on 16th April, 2021. He emails and tells me the situation of my account and it is Rectified.

So moral of the story, BMO does not care for their customer’s and does not have enough resources to hire an educated and respectful person to run their branch.
Please do not use BMO Oliver square as your branch. It has proved to be not trust worthy for the service fees your pay to them.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS BAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I WAS SCAMED AND THE BRANCH MANAGER CALLED ME A CRIMINAL IN FRINT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO WERE WAITING IN LINE. I AM NOW NOT EVER ALLOWED TO HAVE MY ETRANSFERS BACK. I AM TREATED like a CRIMINAL everytime I go in. THEY GOT THERE MONEY BACK AND IM TREATED LIKE A PIECE OF S***WHEN I GO IN THERE I WOULD GIVE THEM MINUS 5 STARS IF I COULD. THEY ARE ALL VERY RUDE AND TREAT LOWER INCOME PEOPLE LIKE THERE NOT PEOPLE AT ALL. I HOPE NOBODY ELSE EVER GETS TREATED LIKE THIS. THEY SHOULD ALL BE FIRED.

I experienced horrific customer service from the bank manager who would not lend the needed assistance to rectify my situation. As a manager to say he could not contact another part of BMO to help move along my situation is mind boggling. This situation has been going on since August and only now that I have gone above and talked to higher managers and an Ombudsman do I see an end in site to solve my relatively simple issue.

In addition, to solve my situation, all BMO has to do is allow an electronic transfer from my insurance company to them. BMO will not do this as it is against their policy. Why a bank will not accept an electronic money transfer from accredited insurance company I will never understand.

Front line desk people were nice and doing their work. The managers hide in their office and claim to be able to do nothing to provide assistance when they are called upon.

My experience today with the teller was unbelievable.i had two cheques to cash. One was made out to both my husband and I.was told i can bring him with me as long as he had id they would cash it.they told me to get a new cheque.fine then dont cash that one bit then the teller asked me a very personal financial question.i was so shocked i didnt know how to respond.tried to call to talk to the manager.but no luck. I really hope they follow up on my concern i have been with bmo for 14 years and have never experienced this before

During this crisis, this branch immediately have to develop the strategy to manage to serve customers (no how important clients are) to increase efficiency on their business. Line up will be continued for long weeks and
there must be a number of clients who need financial help since almost entire economy has been shut down. It does not mean that bank business can have high nose on customers like follow whatever direction we ask, we don't care how much time can be wasted for you (customers) on lineup. Any services cannot be provided on site can be simply re-directed with simple questions 'what brings you today' to customers on line up so that clients do not waste time on long line. If any business industry describe themselves as 'PROFESSIONAL', they also have to keep in mind that how time is such a valuable asset to each individual.

Have spent the last 10 weeks trying to do a basic signing authority change for a business account. Have had to speak with the manager and still no resolution. Do not recommend using this branch because you will have to chase them to get basic service.

Need a mortgage quickly? Don't go here if you are looking for customer service in a timely manner. Twice over a two year period we have engaged mortgage "specialists" who don't respond to calls and emails. The first time, the manager got involved and we got a new agent. This second time, Mary, has dragged out what information she needs. I sent her all my info that I could think of and asked what else would be required. Over a month later and with the closing date approaching, she is now finally asking for more info and seems to have not fully read or open the attachments I sent in the first full email as she is asking questions for which the answers were already provided for. While I understand family emergencies, if she could not complete this transaction, she should have passed it on to someone else. Instead we are now too near the closing date to switch. Two stars because they do have a good mortgage rate and I've had good experiences at other branches.

I moved two mortgages away from BMO because they restricted hours at every branch, save for one, in the city to 4pm close Monday to Wednesday. If you don’t want to see me as a customer, I won’t stay one. This location in particular had great hours but they took those away.

The hours for this location are terrible, they don’t open until 10 AM and then close their teller services at 4 PM. The customer service is very poor quality as well, especially Lucas, who never fails to make a client feel uncomfortable with his rude demeanour and constant questioning “Why are you here? Why not just use the online system? ”. I will be closing my account with BMO because of the terrible service at this location.

Not impressed as compared with other BMO branches around town. I would not recommend this brance and go out of the way to avoid it at all cost. I think they are still up and running only due to the proximity to Macewan University.

This branch is terrible! They made same mistake TWICE! All I ask is the direct deposit form. Thank you for their mistake, I can’t get my pay on the payday! The first time I got my pay delayed at least for a week! Btw, this Friday is the payday, and who know when am I gonna get my pay! My HR called this branch for my rejected pay, and guess what! No one answer the phone call! She had to call the customer service and had been put on hold for a long time. I am wondering will this branch cover my penalty fee when I cannot pay other bill on time?

Bank Senior Management on site; need to work with both the Property Management Company, and BMO's Corporate Headquarter Representatives in getting a second Handicapped Parking Spot / Stall next to the existing single Handicapped Parking Spot / Stall.
This requires immediate and timely resolution. The clock has begun to start recording; Friday, January 18,2019 at 3: 15 PM.
If you require formal quantification of the "Handicapped Parking Supply And Demand" patterns, there are several large Transportation Engineering / Consulting companies in Edmonton that can undertake a "Handicapped Parking Study" for BMO.

Samantha was amazing! Helped me with my line of credit, explained things nicely when I didn't understand, and overall just made my day! This is definitely my preferred branch from now on.
