Six teller stations, only one person working. Huge line-up, a couple managers walking around, but zero urgency to get the line moving on a Friday lunch hour. Quite disappointing.
Chelsea (sp?) is a fabulous human! While she wasn’t able to solve what brought me in branch she did her absolute best and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Thanks so much!
It looks like im not the only person that found this bank terrible based off all the other reviews. The manager Leah was terrible to me and the overall staff and efficiency of this bank is a joke.
This branch has wasted so much of our time. We tried to open an RSVP but we didn't know we didn't apply for the government grant (Because you need to get it before you are 16), but you would think the people who do this as their job would, right? Unfortunately not, the employee we went to opened one (telling us we could get grants) and made it only accessible by my mum even though we told him that my dad needed to be able to use it but he basically said "yeah ok the accounts are already linked" and did nothing. Then again today they wasted our time because they told my family that all three of us needed to be there to make the change to add my dad onto the RSVP but instead we decided to go to the branch at the Market Mall (which was so much better btw). It was only then that the guy told us that we weren't getting anything from the RSVP because we got it too late. So, after all these appointments, wasted time, and them not really doing their job, we came out with nothing. Just try to avoid this branch at all cost really.
I don't know what happened in the past but I had a great experience yesterday. I came in with lots of questions and got a new employee helping me out. That's often a recipe for disaster but he had a great attitude and his trainer stepped in at the right moment and was very helpful.
I have been to this branch a handful of times and have yet to experience any kind of quality. The managers and staff are rude and the information given by them has been inaccurate. Beyond unreasonable wait times while they chat for 20 minutes with one another before helping the public, they will argue that they have discontinued services that are common places in banks. They also speak poorly of the guests while addressing their concerns, which is beyond unprofessional. In all my experiences in banks, local or foreign, no experiences quite match the ones I have had here. Absolutely brutal.
I went to this branch to exchange Canadian money for foreign currency. I called the BMO general line before and was told I could go by the end of the day (a Tuesday) and pick it up on Friday. The women at the desks simply told me it was “too much risk” rather than saying that this was not enough time. However, they didn’t even ask what denomination I was looking to exchange for, or how much. I have had issues like this multiple times at the branch and it seriously makes me consider switching banks.
