The BMO employee Yuanyuan (Olivia) Zhang (mutual fund representative) at BMO Terwillegar Gardens Branch is the worst bank staff that we have ever met. We will file a formal complaint about her to BMO. Here I want to share our experience and please be alerted on this trap!

My wife Joan is a new immigrant here. Olivia Zhang is her financial representative at BMO. Olivia spread the promotion ads of BMO's new comer banking package in a social group for new immigrants. My wife Joan my saw the ads and contact Olivia to open a bank account at BMO. We live in the north and this branch is in the south, about 30 min driving to get there. Olivia told my wife she can open a bank account for us remotely and asked my wife to send documents including SIN to her on social apps (privacy alert! So wrong. Doesn't she know the ethnics for working in financial industry?). She also said there would be a $350 cash back rewards for newcomers in Canada. My wife accepted this offer and opened a bank account at BMO. Olivia became her financial representative. Within a couple of months, my wife did what Olivia said about the qualification (two direct bills + credit card payment etc.) but she did not get the $350 cash back rewards after 3 months. She contacted Olivia several times for this concern. Every time Olivia Zhang either ignored her message, or replied her by simply saying she's busy and asked my wife to contact other customer service staff (excuse me? You promptly sell the bank product to new customers and after the sell you don't even want to do your basic work duty?). Now after three months my wife is still yet to get the cash back rewards in her bank account, and she contacted Olivia to figure out what is going on. Olivia did not explain to her anything and became very rude by saying "you can read and you should know the qualification requirements, or ask another branch staff for service". My wife told her she would file a formal complaint to BMO for her negative attitude with a customer, and Olivia replied "go ahead I don't care" and immediately deleted my wife's contact on the social app (can you believe it? This sounds like a trap!).

As a CFA level III candidate, I know what the ethnics means to a professional working in the financial industry. We are customers to BMO and would expect a service, not to be treated like a dumb person by a cold and careless bank employee like Olivia Zhang. Once the bank account was set and she got the commission, she became a careless and rude person, not even following the basic ethnics as a financial professional.

I also called BMO Terwillegar Gardens Branch a couple of times but nobody picked up my phone call. The BMO branch at this location should contact us and resolve this complaint. We do not want to experience this again, and no other should be treated like that! We need a formal apology from Olivia and BMO!

Terrible service ever! Only one teller in the front! And she keep chatting with a lady, there is nothing related to her job. I stand in the front for 10 minutes. And they keep chatting for that long! There is a line waiting for them. Will Never go to this branch.

They might as well close this location. I have been trying to call so many times, and they are not responding at all. I left a vm on Fri, then Sat, and then Monday. Don't even bother to reply to this message. Just close the doors. I will move to TD, that's enough.

Waited in lineup of 5 people over 35 minutes and still waiting. Same thing anytime you come here, no service. Things that should be an appointment in most banks are taken at the counter.

The new manager (there’s a lady light colour short hair) she most bad and disrespectful worker I ever see, if you go that location you will only waste your time I will never ever go that location again
