Wanted to come here for the first time cuz it seemed cool. Walked in, the girl with the bangs asked for how many, we told her 4 and she literally said “no sorry, we can’t accommodate cuz we’re understaffed” in the most monotone voice and turned around and walked away. Super rude and unprofessional. Didn’t even say sorry or offer a later time or anything. Literally said no and walked away. When we were walking out we turned back to ask if we could wait inside for our Uber and she yelled “BYE” and waved us out. Extremely rude, definitely would not come back.
Nice place to try a wide selection of board games. Good coffee, a few alcohol choices, food was ok but not great. Really nice lemon twisted cocktail. The tater tots were excellent! But don't get the one with toppings. Really great place to go and play board games!
Bright and welcoming atmosphere (the great smell of the coffee when you walk in!) and the lone staff member was quite friendly and managed to easily take care of his customers. With a flat $7 gaming fee and a ton of well sorted games to chose from we spent a few enjoyable hours here sipping on the tasty drinks and laughing at ourselves as our games got simpler and simpler (SkipBo for the win!). I enjoyed the AlleyKat on tap and my partner had a tasty cocktail, the Barry Manilow I think it was. We found the food a bit lacking but it was hot and filling at least. Easy walk from transit or the 2 impark lots less than 1/2 a block away if you're driving.
So glad places like this survived the pandemic. Decent food, good drinks, great atmosphere, very organized games selection with complexity scores making an otherwise overwhelming choice of games somewhat easier to maneuver.
Terrible service. Sat at a table for 30 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged by the staff, i ordered a cake at the till when we got there and was told it would be brought to the table. I didnt make it to the table. Snack selection is horrible, no menu to even see what they have. Hexagon is waaaay better.
This place was awesome. I’ve lived just down the hill for 4 years and never been in. Took my boyfriend on a date and we ended playing for 6 hours! Food is average, but I suspect people aren’t coming here for a meal. The coffee and London fogs were great! We are definitely heading back this weekend.
Great environment to enjoy games with friends or family. The staff are super helpful and kind. And the hot chocolate is worth it! It’s also never usually busy when we go, which is a plus.
Cool little place to meet up with friends and play games, but the organization of the game shelves was a bit confusing. The food also wasn't the best for the price.
These guys are awesome! They are knowledgable and will run through how to play various games. And not just explanations but actually go through at least 1 round with you so you fully understand how the game play works. They also have good recommendations based on how many players you have. If you're looking for a board game night, this is the place to go!
