We visited Bonterra Trattoria on NYE’s and had the most wonderful experience. All the servers and staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was so nice and the food was 10/10. They have the best tiramisu in the city!

A special shoutout to Tannis for making our night extra special. She had amazing recommendations and the best customer service. She was attentive and made sure we had a comfortable evening from the moment we sat down on our table.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or a special event.

Amazing place. I was there yesterday for a early father’s day celebration and I got to say the place is FANTASTIC. The food is beyond delicious, from appetizers all the way to dessert. Service was 5 stars and the atmosphere too was beautiful. My new favorite place in Calgary.

Ahhh. It was a special celebration for a 40th bday and health news and the server was pushy and awful and told us to chill and said we had to order everything all at once, appies and mains and wouldn’t take our order until we knew it all. I told the manager he was brutal and she said she has worked with him for 5 years plus and then he said he’s only been there for one month. It was the worst service and ruined a great night. Food was ok? Super brothy and wet. Beyond disappointing. Can’t believe how bad actually. Go for a corporate lunch but not for anything special. Brutal

Made a reservation weeks ago requesting a table outside for a birthday celebration but people who do walk-ins get priority.

The food was good but took about 50 minutes to arrive, better options in the area.

The food was great, the setting was delightful, the cocktails were unique and the service was amazing!

Very crowded and very busy. Food took a long time to come out. The tables are too crowded so it was uncomfortable to sit and enjoy.

Amazing staff. Our waiter, Allie P, was awesome. So knowledgeable and helpful. The food was fantastic.

The ricotta and foccacia was quite nice and light with lemon. Had the duck which was a bit too salty and on the drier side. The tiramisu was very good. Service was great and the atmosphere is quite nice.

If you’re looking to go for a date night in Calgary, Bonterra is the place you must go. From the ambiance to the food and desserts food was amazing we had Rosè, Vegetarian walnut pasta and mushrooms…. Too good and ended with their tiramisu… the best tiramisu I’ve had in the city.

Had dinner with a large group of about 20- (chefs tasting) food was a little disappointing considering it was $80/ person for a few simple salads, a couple pasta dishes (risotto was amazing-other pasta was bland), and some cold roast beef.there for an hour before my drink arrived. Appreciate the hard working server she was amazing.but honestly won’t be back.

This is, by far, worst place i have ever been to for italian cuisine. And thats coming from a guy that went to Italy and determined that Calgary has the same level of taste and recommend people dont need to go to Italy to experience their food.

Food: beef carpaccio had no flavour and seemed like it was just dipped in watered-down vinegar. It was not to the level i expected for the price point and had to raise awareness to it. The manager gladly took it away which is good, but did not go above and beyond. Their carbonara pasta is sub-par for the price… you can find better at other establishments who do not specialize in italian food. Their arancini was also okay. Better than the carpaccio for sure

Service: 3/5. Pretty good but they wiped off crumbs on the table onto my partner’s lap…

Overall dont go here for italian food. 2/5 for manager effort in the least

Visiting Bonterra was a fantastic experience. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The bartender had the best recommendations for really unique drinks, and they produced an earl grey gin, drink, topped with white chocolate foam. It can’t even be described by words

As with previous visits to Bonterra, the food was unique, fresh, and made in alignment to Italian tradition. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and in the warmer months, you should definitely try and snag a spot on their patio by the outdoor fireplace.

Amazing carpaccio and focaccia bread for lunch. I had to take most of the loaf home. Patrick was the best server. Super know about the menu and genuine with our conversation.

Not impressed at all. Mediocre dishes. Bland. One dish over the top too much pesto. Foccaci bread was like Safeway. Cocktails were below average. Dessert was dry cake. Very overrated restaurant.

First time try Italian restaurant, and the lamb shank is extremely good. Should definitely give it a try.

A 3 course meal took about 4 hours with lots of visiting time between plates if that is what you desire. We did have 20 people there.

The food was exquisite, couldn't believe how happy I was with the food, and the service was incredible, so kind and happy vibes. And the patio was beyond beautiful, can't wait to go back.

The patio is great. We enjoyed the gnocchi and salmon dishes. The Tuscan Sun cocktail was good, but small. The pineapple margarita had more volume, but tasted weak. Excellent cappuccino.

Bonterra never disappoints! I love the beautiful patio, great food and great service. We will definitely be back again.

Gorgeous patio and food. I have been coming for the past decade. The server, Ali, is so kind, caring, accommodating, and enjoyable as a person. He really adds to the lovey experience. Thank you Bonterra and Ali!
