From the beginning till the end everything was worse. The server was very very very RUDE.
I just entered and I asked for a specific table and she simply said “ I’m busy at this moment you can sit somewhere else”. After we sit on our non desired sit we waited for 20 minutes for our server to come and handed over the menu. Then we waited nearly 15 minutes for our server to take the order. But she was super SWEET at the time we have to pay but after the billing she just throw the receipt and went away.
Such a pathetic service I have never seen. It is just waste of time, money.
I didn’t even get seated. Stood at the front with my wife for a few minutes. We saw some servers look over. After a while I walked into the lounge and asked a server there. She said she would get someone. I waited a bit longer, while looking for the next closest place, on my phone. I found a spot. We waited a bit longer and still nobody. We then walked slowly out the doors and stood outside for a few moments. After a bit we left.
We had a last minute reservation for our soccer team. They accommodated all the players and families that showed up. For a party of 40, they had amazing service all evening and the food came so quickly and was very delicious! Thanks to all the staff for a job well done!
The place smelled like stinky feet. All the waitress said is its suppose to smell like sticky cheese. I am wondering if maybe not a stinky cheese but a nice cheese smell would be better
Used to really like this restaurant, unfortunately it has gone downhill! The service is lousy, and the tables and floors are dirty. The bathrooms are lot to be desired.as in disgusting and the food is much like the bathrooms.
I spend a lot of money here and never had a good or a proper meal. I would recommend trying The Old Spaghetti Factory or the Olive Garden. Better service, better quality food and portions and worth the money.
It was quite full for a Wednesday but there was a game on. The food was good but the service even though good was quite slow. The atmosphere also seemed like it had seen better days. Overall anyway, it was good.
Service was great, food was terrible. I had some baked pasta that came with garlic toast, toast that was rock hard and stale. The pasta sauce was so runny, it was like water. I can get way better food for the same price elsewhere, with inflation we consumers deserve better.
We recently ordered delivery (by BP) several times over about 4 weeks. Sometimes our food was hot, sometimes cold, sometimes something was forgotten (like a salad). But often the order wasn't right. Like last time. Ordered the build your own pasta dish - spaghetti with tomato sauce and cheese. Got cold, dried out spaghetti with a smudge of their sour-tasting marinara sauce (photos of how dry). It was inedible. When placing that order, we'd asked to speak to the manager about how frequently the person answering the phone automatically puts customers on hold, then "forgets" for over 15 minutes. We had called from different numbers over the weeks (just worked out that way, wasn't planned) and each time we hung up after 10 to 15 minutes on hold. Any time of day. Manager apologized, and said that this order of spaghetti and tomato sauce order would be free and we said it wasn't necessary, but thank you. (On speakerphone). When delivered, it was full price. Driver called manager, who said tiny cheese cup was free, not the spaghetti. The spaghetti that was supposed to come with tomato sauce and cheese. *that* cheese was free, and for once not *on* the food item it was supposed to be on. Uh huh. We weren't trying to get anything for free, just ask for better employee training re: answering phones. Instead we paid for the wrong order that was disgusting. Phoned back. Got put on hold. Gave up. Threw away "food". Won't order from this location again. There are literally thousands of restaurants in the city, including several other BP locations, but this restaurant doesn't seem to grasp that. We did go in in person (not this year), but left after waiting over 45 minutes for someone to take our order. That's why we went with delivery this year. (One new year's resolution is to stop letting other people waste our time).
Hello, not sure if this is one location or all locations. The phone app changes the address every time I order, when I correct the address, it says there is no restaurant in the area. Which makes it hard to order from that location.
Also, the menu on the app or on the website is very limited to order from.
Another thing, when I have ordered in the past I kept getting phone calls back having to change my order because what was on the app was not available numerous times.
Boston pizza tech should update and correct this problem with both website and app. Thank you.
We went to Ellerslie Boston Pizza on Sunday afternoon. The worst service you can get is there! Not very busy, but you wait about half an hour to get water and juices. Then you wait 40 -50 minutes for food. You are lucky if you get the right food in first attempt. Go buy lottery tickets! If I could give negative it would be minus 3.
NEVER AGAIN! Been over 10 years since I've last eaten at a BP but certainly the last. The pizza was tasteless; lots of poor quality meats - horid; chewy bits. Cactus taters were disgusting and soft and salty. Calamari were dried and overcooked, seemed freezer burnt. Jambalaya pasta was interesting -texture of the chicken was weird and more disgusting sausage but the actual pasta was a perfect cook. Mr. Treliving should be embarrassed. Be warned, not worth the money. Too many comparable spots around.
Bascially done for delivery. Can't find any way to just order some wings and pizza bread. No call in feature any more and the online menu is limited. Tried going through Skip and the menu there doesn't even have wings! BP's took a good thing and managed to screw it up.
Where do I begin? From the moment upon entering I knew my experience at Boston Pizza Ellerslie would be a good one. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the lovely Brooklyn who so happened to be my family and I’s server. Her service was extremely professional and fast. I was impressed. The restaurant was clean, the service was AMAZING and the food (cactus cut nachos especially) hit the spot. Definitely recommend! 11/10 experience.
It's a great place, good feels all round and the servers were very sweet as well. The drinks they make are absolutely delightful. The pizzas and pastas were good and the fries were crispy and great. Only small complain would be the big serving of cut tomatoes on my pizza, it was a bit too much. Other than that great place
Great overall! Came with my girlfriend for some dinner on a night out. Great food and very friendly service from our helpful server Brooklyn! We will definitely be returning to this location again, I 100% recommend.
Choose another BPs. On the bar side, no one helped us once we sat down (at a dirty table, none had been cleaned), so we went to the restaurant side. The staff didn't seem to want to be there. Food was good though.
Quick and friendly service. The nachos were delicious. My Grandson had a pizza and it was also delicious. But my Granddaughters chicken fingers were way to hard, she didn't eat them unfortunately.
It a wonderful friend of my whom I hadn't see in soo long suggested lunch I jumped at the chance to catch up over a nice lunch pizza special. What was also really get is that she has a special friend that always gets to be and go where she does and they didn’t say anything bad about it her having her companion service dog with her they saw the dog and never said anything. I applaud and appreciate that they were so very accommodating. Thank you staff for all your kindness
Everything was wonderful. Starting with the 2 people that greet you walking into the lounge, they are happy and nice. Beer is cold & fabulous, pizza was cooked correct, good quality & amount of toppings. The room is clean, renovated, spacious, nice. Only bad, all TV's same channel, bad show - yuck. Thank you.
Went to Boston Pizza on Ellerslie, 2 hostesses at the counter told us they couldn't sit us for 30 minutes or more even though the restaurant was half empty. I asked could we be seated and get drinks to start like water. Told no as our servers are too busy to serve you. I've worked in the hospitality industry for many years. This not very good business practice when the hostesses could have sat us, gave us our menus to look at, but they weren't interested in doing this. Not impressed. We were there on Thursday the 14th restaurant was very busy and minimal staff and there were 9 of us not 4 like tonight and we had no problem being seated right away.
Took 1hr and 50mins to get my order and they didn't put any parmasan or Chilli flakes or napkins in the bag which I specifically asked for then called them and they just left me on hold.
This store never secure online food orders. I regularly order from skip the dishes and food bag not even sealed. Very poor service. Never order from this store again
It was so nice to be able to go into the restaurant and meet with my friends. The restaurant was busy, but we received great service. The waitress was attentive and the food was great!
So I came here on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 19: 00 to do some studying, and munch out whilst occasionally watching the football game. My previous experience was mediocre but the food was good so I thought I would give BPs another chance. When I sat down I was immediately attended to by Ashley, who was friendly and kind while taking my order. She checked on me continuosly which showed that my business was wanted here. I seen her buzzing around the bar attending to the customers in the same fashion. I was impressed enough to pen this review. Ashley is a hard worker and gave me great service. I seen her treat all the customers this way. Management, she needs to be commended. BP's needs all the Ashley's it can get!
Oh, and the Big Dipper was amazing, and even the fries are good, coming from a restaurant.
Worst customer service I’ve seen today. We need to even ask for chili peppers and parmesan even we had ordered pizza. Requested extra plate for my kid and never came. What a worst experience
Horrible customer service in the lounge (Day shift Dec 4). The bartender has a severe attitude problem. Same thing every time I visit. Getting attitude because she has to step away from her phone to do her job and getting a condescending response when I ask for something. Boston Pizza is my favourite place to visit but won’t be returning to this location. That kind of behaviour is in unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
Manager Zippen does not know the meaning of customer service. Highly disappointed with my interaction at this location and will not be giving my service to them again. Total disrespect and no understanding of how to treat customers. 0 stars if I could.
The food was good. There was only one waitress when we went on the dining side. Staff were not friendly. Waitress gave us 3 set of cutlery for 4 adults and 3 babies. We had to ask for things multiple times. We asked to split the bill in two and got separate bills for what we ate. Covid times have really changed the quality of service. The food was still good.
We ordered 3 items today and the food was excellent. I dont often post reviews but I am always pleased with the service and food at the Ellerslie location. Much thanks
Love it here, all around good atmosphere, good staff and good foood ️ we came in as a group of 9 after our reservation was not taken seriously at the brewhouse across the street. We were seated quickly, received excellent service and our food was so good! The server was so awesome and so helpful!
So just brought my lil dude for lunch here, most of the stuff was okay, but I ordered a calamari, and all I can say is I'm very, very disappointed in Boston pizza, not sure if it was a mistake or a joke, but I got 5 calamaris, the rest was breaded banana peppers, very disappointed, last time I'll be going there! Def ruined our experience!
It was a very busy pasta Tuesday and I ordered pick up. Food was great, the manager on duty was great at helping with my order. The young lady taking the phone calls was pleasant as well. Thanks! It's not easy being that busy and I appreciate the hardwork!
These days with living in a pandemic, it's just wonderful to be able to go out for lunch. This BP goes above and beyond to make it like a fine dining experience. Great appetizers, I'm looking forward to going back.
Good service and good food. Not much more to say after that. The seats were nicely arranged with dividers between tables so even the antisocials can dine in peace, 3 TV's at the front in case you're keeping up with the game
Food was delicious and on time. Server was great even helping 7 people at once. All drinks were filled on time and plates were cleared very promptly giving plenty of room. Would recommend and return for another visit.
Sat on the bar side. Food and service was fantastic. Best BP we've had in a long time. I know the Oilers were playing tonight but thought they would have left world series game 7 on the bug screen.
Had to wait 45 minutes for my beer to arrive. Had to ask the server multiple times for a glass of water. Servers attitude made for an unwelcoming experience. Food showed up for an hour late and cold.

Was their annual $5 individual pizza day so the restaurant was packed. I went with my wife and children (one is 5 and one is 2). They told us it would be about a 30 minute wait to get in, turned out to be between 10 and 15. Our server greeted us quickly and promplty brought the beverages we ordered. Took our food order when she brought us our drinks and ensured our glasses were always full throught our meal. The pizzas came out within a good time from ordering and were hot and delicious. Our children had activity sheets as Boston Pizza is kid friendly so they were engaged while we waited which was great. Our server was quick and responsive and the food was awesome. I just wish it was $5 pizza day every day.
Hands down to the WORST BP's servers. How can you make a customer wait for 10 minutes after taking their drinks order to return with no drinks and to say "you have no clean cups"; seriously and GROSS. After she mentioned that we left.
I just ordered skip from Boston pizza and I got the chicken fettuccine pasta. I used to loveeeee Thisbe sooo much but what I got in my order today is the worst I have ever had and I am so disappointed cause I started craving this in the middle of the night just to get this tasteless food. Really really Disappointed and will definitely never come to this location again
The Ellerslie location is the best Boston pizza on the south side. Extremely friendly, fast, clean, fresh food, better portioned than other locations (even the take out), hot and made to order. Highly recommend. Lots of parking as well.
We visited as a group from work over lunch. The restaurant want to busy and the server was attentive. Everyone got what they ordered and there were no problems throughout our visit. The only real downside is it's a Pepsi chain, so if that doesn't sit well with you, be ready to order something else to drink.
Pros: - Food tastes like the other Boston Pizza's I've been to - Cheap pasta on Tuesdays - A good variety of sports are on the TVs - Pub, dining area, and take-out areas separated
As always, Boston Pizza has great food! The service here is fantastic! They are very accommodating to changing the channel on the TV or switching the audio from music to sports.
This is hands down one of the best Boston Pizzas I've been to. Normally I avoid the chain due to poor customer service and what I found to be overpriced food.
Tonight we enjoyed the happy hour menu, while small, still did the trick. Our pizzas were made great and tasted awesome.
What pushed this from 3 to 4 stars was because of our server tonight. Great service, and we both walked out saying we would be back again.
The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because of the overall price of food here.
Its a standard pizza place to me. Being from Texas with our craft brew scene I was excited to see craft beers on the menu. I asked about them and ALL of them were not in stock. That is a bad look. The food was fine, the waitress in the bar area was friendly and attentive. If you're in town and want some pizza it'll get you fed.
Been at this location 3 time and food has been terrible each time, undercooked chicken wings and cold pizza 2 things that should NEVER HAPPEN, the waitress looked at us like we were in the wrong for even mentioning it, what a poor effort Boston Pizza!
I wish I could remember my waitresses name because she was amazing. But the food was great, awesome atmosphere and super friendly staff! Will be coming to this Boston Pizza from now on
Ate here on March 24 for my birthday dinner and i got so sick. Nothing like making your birthday worse then throwing up at 2 am. Never eating here again
The seats are worn out and the service was poor. We ordered coffee because it was cold and they only had Equal and no white sugar at all! Yuck! Food was good. Would not go to that location again.
Worst BPs in Edmonton. Appalling service. GM is rude to anyone that isn’t Caucasian including his staff. Other managers don’t appear to care that their establishment is in disarray. All the servers appear to be identical robots who are apparently forced to wear black skirts throughout the winter, which just seems so ridiculous considering this is Canada and these are women working in a time of diversity and inclusion. Establishment needs to be shut down completely and reopened with new, inclusive staff members who are aware of society’s progression!
The food was similar to any other Boston Pizza, but the service was absolutely horrific. Not at all surprising that morale is low, since management appears to intentionally create an unpleasant atmosphere for the servers.
This spills over to the customers!
Also curious to know why all the servers are the exact same shade of young, blonde and female.
We had to tell the server 3 times about someone's birthday in our group so that she could get a birthday brownie which was awkward. It felt as if we were cheaping out on a brownie whilst we spent ridiculous amount on the food we ordered!
Felt like as if our server was judging our family by the color of our skin, never going back again. We were there yesterday and it was my birthday. What a shame to celebrate at such a place!
