The food here was great, decent selection of dishes, however service was good, but could have been better. It wasn't that busy but it took us asking multiple times for the same item before it was finally brought to us.

Enjoyed a delicious meal, consisting of the chicken fried rice, beef Bulgogi, white rice and banchan sides. All items were fresh, hot and well balanced. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

Overpriced. I have been in a lot of Korean restaurants and this is so far the overpriced. Taste ok. Soup is more than half of the bowl. Very little meat and noodles.

I visited Bowls for the first time for dinner tonight. I had mala tang and my partner had tendon hotpot.

We tried deep fried dumplings and I really liked them! My mala tang was ok, not very spicy but had a lot of stuff inside. There was very little amount of meat and there were some very artificial sausages. The sweet potato noodle was interesting, it was thick and kind of like Chinese fen si noodle. It was the most expensive item on the menu but it did not come with rice.

The tendon hotpot, in my personal opinion, was not good. Very little amount of meat and noodle. The noodle was like Japanese Somen noodle, therefore it got really soft and broke aport as we ate. The soup was light, there was not much stuff in the soup, it was a bit disappointing.

The dish came with side dishes, we did not like their kimchi, it was quite sour. Bean sprout dish was really good and that was our favorite. They change a dollar for extra side dishes FYI.

Service was really good, our server was friendly. The interior was clean and somehow gives Canadian cabin X Korea vibe. Lots of seating and I saw they accommodated big group by putting some tables together, which is very nice.

Stopped in Bowls Korean BBQ for something for dinner before heading to the movie theater. Was totally blown away by the amazing service, the speed at which the food came to the table and how amazing the food tasted. This place is doing it right. Would go back again and again. Also very clean.

Loved the Korean Steamed Egg dish. This has to be new to the menu. Silky, buttery, eggy, umami taste that is comfort food and goes with any dish.

I have eaten Korean food from New York to Toronto and Vancouver. This place is good with reasonable price. It’s my favorite.

I will not recommend this restaurant, I used to come quite often as is the only Korean food nearby my house, I don’t mind the prices gone up these days but the portion size of food they are giving you, they probably think all their customers are dumb or something. 25 bucks and you’ll be getting less than 300g for the bbq spicy chicken chicken and 15 dollar a soup when your pour it out only half a bowl I have pictures will figure out how to upload to prove not go back again everyone needs to make money but being this greedy is just nasty, really not worth the money if taking out the food from the restaurant! Would drive 15 more mins and go to manna instead now

15% services fee was automatically added to the bill but DID NOT let us know until we tipped 15% on top of the total amount (including the tips they already added on). We were not informed nor did we get excellent services (our water ran out and didn't get refilled). Was told 15% would be automatically applied of more than 6 people dine in. But AT LEAST we should be INFORMED before we pay. Worse experience ever.

The worst Korean restaurant in Calgary! Our regular spot was closed for renovations, we decided to try this place. The food quality is WAY LOWER than any other places, but then price is the same, some of their dishes are even more expensive. I’ve never been to a Korean restaurant don’t offer buckwheat tea as a default. You can choose to pay $1.50 for a tea bag. Also they don’t give you any side dishes unless you order hotpot or bbq, with the same price you are paying, you don’t get any side dishes? Huh? We ordered cold noodles and seafood package, the seafood pancake barely has any seafood, 2 small shrimps 2 tiny octopus tentacles, some Imitation crab and green onion, honestly green onion pancake as a name is more appropriate, or maybe just call it savoury pancake, other restaurants even put more green onion than here. Cold noodles are just unacceptable! I get that some people want extra broth for their cold noodle, and there is a $2 charge for that, but the cold noodle here almost has no broth, you can’t even mix/dissolve the hot sauce in. FOR GOD’S SAKES, IT IS A COLD BROTH NOODLE! NOT A DRY PASTE NOODLE! Plus the taste of both noodle and pancakes are so plain, and tasteless. Avoid this place by any means

Slightly expensive dishes. Fried chicken was good, average beef bulgogi, below average bone broth.

The servers were asking for a tip and making it mandatory for us. Before we leave they were mocking us and making fun of us.

We love their kimchi fried rice, cold spicy noodle, spicy pork, teobbokki! All amazing! Their side dishes are so good too, reminds me of Korea!

Always went here for lunch time whenever I can. They have this great dea combo for two that actually fills for 3 or more people. We would order that combo deal and order one plate of anything. The total with drinks would come up to about $100 for 4 people. With that much food, I'd say you're gettong your money's worth. It isn't busy so you won't need to make any reservations. Not sure about dinner time. You have lots of parking as the parking lot is shared with T&T. The venue is more casual than anything. Forgot to take a photo as I was enjoying the food too much! Will for sure update my review with this and share a more accurate info of the food and order we got!

We tried the hot stone bibimbap, the fried whole squid, tteokbokki, seafood soup, all were very delicious. Servers were very attentive and food came out fast.

The service was awesome and the food was even better! The Kimchi Fried Rice with the egg on top paired with an order of the Steamed Egg Bowl was my favorite.

Incredible Korean dishes! Each time I’ve visited, I’ve always been reminded of how good this spot is and how underrated it seems. There usually aren’t many people here at one time despite the large interior but this restaurant definitely deserves more customers! The food is always great, with reasonable prices and friendly service. The flavours are always spot on, and the menu selection is varied. Clean and cool eating space, with decently fast service times. I highly recommend the cold noodle dish on a hot summer’s day. Check this place out!

Small portion, bad quality taste, not worth price. We order few things, e.g $15 for a chicken salad, only few chicken nuggets and not fresh salad. Beef soup, only few tiny pieces of beef inside.

The dishes that we ordered were delicious, portions were of decent size. However, the service here was lacking. Came in on a day that wasn’t very busy, considering it is Mother’s Day. Once we received our 2 orders, our server never came back to see if we needed anything else. We waited over 20 minutes for our server to give us our side dishes, and quite honestly, we wouldn’t have gotten it if we hadn’t flagged down another employee. Our original server, though very polite and respectful, needs to be consistent with customer service. She began to check up on us after apologizing that she did forget about us.

The consistency of service needs to be worked on here. The poor service I received today could have easily been avoided if our sever had simply asked if we needed anything else.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant for dine in. You’re better off ordering take out (maybe from another restaurant altogether).

I was there last May 8,2022. As we entered we were greeted by an employee and asked if we have a reservation and we said no. It was busy as it is Mother's day. We seated and waited for someone to serve us but no one came to talked to us. I understand that it was busy but as simple as letting us know and trying to accomodate us is enough. We sat there for 15mins and no one talked to us. All of them are pretending not to see us. Dont know if this is discrimination. Very disappointed with the experience. Never going back.

Korean cuisine is my favorite. Gamjatang, osam bulgogi, and kapunggi are my favorites - this restaurant offers these great korean foods. I am always visiting once a month or ordering online if I have a chance.

The food is awesome! A little pricey but you get what you pay for.the serving is good too and the servers are nice. Bbq eel, deep fried squid and gamja-tang is our fav.

Have been here twice for lunch, and we will definitely continue:) The food is excellent. The staff is helpful, and very VERY pleasant. The place was clean, seating was arranged carefully to provide some distance between groups, and service was prompt. Prices were reasonable, providing good value.

Got delivery for dinner and was shocked at the portion size for side dishes. These tiny condiment size container side dishes cost $3! I have never seen such tiny side dish portions, basically a tablespoon each or one bite.

I reached out on Instagram to give feedback and there was no response. Very disappointed, especially considering the side dishes are cheap ingredients like radish, bean sprouts and potatoes.

The soy garlic chicken and spicy pork were good, but unfortunately this stinginess around side dishes left a poor impression.

Bowls Korean BBQ is a Korean restaurant serving many dishes such as soups, meats and rice. Such as Bibimbap, stews and more. They serve Korean BBQ, but not in an all you can eat manner.

The location is nice and convenient. There are many parking spaces and the location is easy to access. Located by the T&T in Harvest Hills. The interior looks clean and has an elegant feel to it.

The soft tofu stew was light and delightful. Providing a warm feeling around the body. The soup came out hot and boiling. It wasn't too salty, but was still full of flavor. The tofu was soft but didn't crumble. There were also some nice seasoned pork belly within the stew.

The Bibimbap was full of flavor. Each spoonful of rice provide great flavors. The servers provide a red sauce which can be mixed into the rice. It is not spicy, the sauce provides a nice zest and tangy flavor. The Bibimbap comes with rice, meat and vegetables all in one bowl. For the best flavor, add the sauce and mix all ingredients.

The service was quick and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. If customers require more side dishes, just ask the servers. The service was friendly and they were quick to deliver. Occasionally, servers can be hard to track down. The price of the food was reasonable. The price is the average when compared to other Korean restaurants.

Bowls Korean BBQ does not serve all you can eat BBQ. However they provide warm dishes for cold days. Allowing customers to enjoy and try many different types of Korean dishes.

This place is amazing! The food is out of this world and the staff is so friendly and caring! We were in 5 people and got their recommendations (N. 1, N. 2, N3, Bibimbap and the Stone Bowl + miso soup) and it was delicious! They also offered us Man-doo on the house!?

It may be because it doesn't travel well, but it was borderline inedible. Some textures were questionable and for the price, the portions were small and lackluster. Overall, it was very disappointing. When you order extra sides, for $3 - you get about a tablespoon of 3 sides. This may be a restaurant that you need to eat in, but I wouldn't waste my money.

Went there for the first time yesterday and got takeout. Food was really really tasty! Sure it's a little pricey but you certainly get what you pay for. Will definitely go again!

A bit pricy but everything was delicious. I got the spicy soy garlic chicken and it was one of best I had in Calgary. It was completely boneless, bite size and grazed in a thick sweet sauce. Very good although I did wish there were a few boned pieces. The atmosphere is also very nice and clean.

It was the last meal I ate before heading out to camp for 3 weeks. I will definitely eat there before I fly out everytime now! The server was super friendly and the food was amazing.

Went here with my partner this monday for some korean food as Soban by our house was closed. I've driven by this place before, but never came in as the reviews weren't the best when it took over the space that thai restaurant used to be in. Our waitress was friendly, initially. After we placed our order (spicy pork bulgogi, LA galbi, and soon dubu jigae), we waited 20 minutes, the waitress did not provide us with water. I had to wave down another server to get a drink. We then waited another 15-20 minutes before our food arrived. We were provided with one small set of sidedishes (banchans), which included garlic potatos, pickled daikon, kimchi (seems store brought, wasn't fresh kimchi), and bean sprouts.

When our food finally arrived, it was delicious. However, our waitress dropped the ball again. I asked her for a refill on the banchan, she did not grab us any. 20 minutes later, she simply came by to ask if we are done eating. I noticed that a table of 12-14 was arriving and was ordering lots of alcohol. It seemed that all the wait staff's attention went completely on that table, and they had forgotten about all the other customers. I dont usually comment on the service of restaurants too much, and maybe I just had a bad experience because the wait staff felt overwhelmed by the large party. My only expectation from wait staff is for them to bring me the food and drinks I requested, which was not done in this instance. What a shame, I really enjoyed their food.

By far my favourite restaurant in the city. The location is easily accessible, there is plenty of parking, they have the most polite waiters, and their stone bowl is absolutely delicious. I go here regularly, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Every two days, I order the beef Bulgogi hotpot. I love it! I do sometimes wish there were more noodles or rice cakes in it, but I still really enjoy the flavor. I can't wait to try it in the restaurant now that we can dine in. And I'm looking forward to trying so many other dishes!

Environment:
The place has really vintage designs that's similar to a French restaurant, filled with chill music and is mostly quiet. It is also very clean, so don't worry if you hate germs.
Service:
The employees are patient and pleasing. They ask if their service is good, and has really nice attitude towards customers. Fast serving too, between 5-10 mins after you ordered.
Food:
The food was super tasty and full-filing. Recommend their beef bulgogoi if you love the taste of beef, or their pork katsu if you like sweet curry sauce on top of fried pork. When it says spicy on the menu, it means SPICY. If you can't take spiciness at all, don't order it.
Overall:
After all, this is a great restaurant, average price is similar to a chinese restaurant for two people. It's understandable since it has great service and food.

Due to pandemic restrictions takeout only. Very pleasant lady took my order and food was ready to pick up at promised time. Very personable and polite staff. Made sure everything was sanitized in front of me to complete transaction. Ordered the spicy chicken box and the spicy japchae. Well priced, generous potions and very tasty food. The sweet potato noodles in the spicy japchae was excellent. Presentation may not be accurate as we moved food from takeout container to our household dishes but did not detract from the enjoyment of the food.

Delicious Korean food in a good location. Wife and I love this place and try to visit as often as we can. Service is great but we haven't been while it's been busy so can't be sure. It is a bit pricey as well but the portions seem very fair for price. I'd suggest the japchae! Spicy if you can handle it. Sweet potatoe noodle with pork and mixed veggies. Honestly a great locally owned place that's very worth trying out.

The taste is good but its overpriced. You a don't get unlimited side dishes and the proportions are way to small for a combo.

I asked for help picking a bowl and the staff made it really simple for me. Pork, beef or tofu. Hot, medium or mild. Moments later. I had a great lunch.

Great atmosphere and attentive service. The kimchi pancake was perfectly crispy and flavorful thanks to the well-fermented kimchi. It's a must order! Also had the white sundubu which was fresh and full of flavor. The white sundubu is perfect for days when you don't feel like anything spicy.:)

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very helpful and kind. I am already looking forward to going back, highly recommend! I felt the prices were reasonable.

Very disappointed with their "basket" of fried chicken. What is the first thing you think of when someone says fried chicken? Crispy thighs? Breasts? Well, I received a total of 7 drumsticks and wings the size of what you would find in the hot section of Co-op. The icing on the cake is I paid $16.99 for it. You know that feeling you get when your waiter charges you 50 cents per wing at a bar? Imagine being charged $2.40 per wing. Don't bother coming here if you think you're getting "Korean" fried chicken (which is what the menu says).

Better than average. I don't know if I like it better than Ogam but it is really good and has a lot of seating. Really friendly staff and they had a more extensive menu than Ogam. Will be going again.

The waiters and staff are very friendly and accommodating. This is a favourite place among my friends to grab authentic Korean food. The bulgogi beef is a large and tasty portion to share.

This is literally one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to in Canada. Really reminds me of being in Seoul. We were unhappy with the long wait at a nearby Dim Sum place and decided to walk out. Coming across the parking lot to Bowls was the best decision ever. This is a hidden gem and will become a new tradition when we visit Calgary.

Beautiful flavour. Honestly some of the best kimchi (pickled fermented cabbage/veggies). The spice is also amazing with being hot hot *hot* without losing the complexity.

I had an amazing experience here. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. We didn't feel like strangers here.

Best Korean food in town! I had Korean food for consecutive two days here and Korean village. The soup is way better here. I ordered seafood Togo soup. There's so much seafood I almost didn't finish. Server is very nice and considerate. This will be my go to Korean food place from now on. Didn't get a chance to take pictures because they are so good. I finished them shortly. Will take pictures next time.

Ordered the bulgogi it was ice cold called to let them know and they were completely rude and blamed door dash for it being cold, live 7 mins away no way ones food should be that cold ever do not recommend eating here ever

Awesome staff and some of the greatest Korean BBQ I've ever had. If the service wasn't too slow and if they had free refills on pop, it would be a 5 star.

We ordered the combo for 2 platter. The food was fantastic and portions were great! The staff was friendly I’ll definitely be back! The pork bone soup was unbelievable the meat was tender and very flavourful.

I don't know how this place can get average of 4.2 star, the location is great, the server is nice, the renovation is good, but the food is way below average, the taste is " Dull " and very disappointing. Seafood pancake cost $18 has close to zero seafood in it, full of flour.the only taste for the hot stone bowel is flavored by soy sauce and well cooked vegetable. If a hungry teenager only able to finish 1/3 of the bowel, there is something wrong with the food.let's say we will never return to the restaurant again.

I appreciate their kind service, but to be honest, I never found a good quality/taste food there. I live very close from the restaurant. Even I tried several menu, nothing is delicious so far. Only the Donkatsu is okay, but Tofu soups are terrible. Sorry to judge someone’s food, but can’t like their food.

Overpriced and food was ok. The waitress and another male host (not sure if he was the owner) were a bit condescending when we asked how much food we should order.it felt like she was pushing to order more than we needed, in the end we did order too much and had to get it packed up.

My first experience with Korean food here in Calgary. The restaurant is very clean and service was quick. I ordered the Bibimbap and the Kimchi pancake. The food was great, I couldn't be happier! Definitely will be going back.

Definitely not one of the best Korean restaurants in town. Items are over-priced; serves smaller portions for the price listed, compared to other Korean restaurants. Did not accommodate special requests (ie.allergies and substitutions). Also, the Korean vegetable side dishes are pre-prepared onto the little dishes prior to arrival, therefore sitting out by the front area all evening. (We went to eat during the last hour of operation and there were still 3 sets of appetizer dishes on the table).

I just order half chicken. When i open at home.only six chicken wings inside. So smart Korean restaurant. They think customer all stupid.

Great food, and the waitresses are the best. They can recommend you to try certain Korean meals if it's you first time. It was amazing when we ate there twice.

The meat here is great and so is the alcohol (yes I understand you can buy the bottle from a liquor store for much cheaper. But they pour it into this wooden bowl and they give you a ladle! Very interesting.) Only disappointment I had was that the bibimbap is a bit less tasty than some places.
