Beautiful place to walk and explore the nature! Great place to walk your dog (off-leash park) but make sure you bring water and keep your fur baby on leash if need!: P Very peaceful and calm
Great park for picknik, walk, play games or walk the dog, close to river, so you could cool down in summer or go rafting. I love the park in winter when is not that busy.
This is my fave place to do photos, I’m really sad that someone decided to mark up and ruin a beautiful spot, where a nice wooden sitting area was. Which I can no longer use for photos. Not to mention the kids that leave their trash and garbage everywhere. This place needs a visit here and there, for underage drinking and fires being places.
Lots of trails and access points. Some describe this as a easy hike. Nope. Steep hills. Lots of stairs. Maybe if you walk the paved pathway up top its an easy stroll. Very pretty. Lots of vantage points. Little streams, waterfall if you go into the valley area. Takes you to the bow. There are a Few benches for a little picnic. Lots and lots of cyclists on the small hilly dirt trails. They often are going fast to get up the next hill. If you are on that hill/ trail that has lots of little turns you can get hit. Was a bit sketchy for our 4 yr old not to get hurt by a cyclist. Will go again.
Such a beautiful place. A great place to go for evening walks or just to bike on the beautiful trails and take in the view. Definitely one of mine and my boyfriends favourite spots ever! We come here often by the silver springs area we start are walk! I would highly recommend visiting this spot of Calgary it’s so refreshing. 10/10 in love with this park.
The thing about Calgary is if you want trails, whether to walk, bike, or run. Calgary has it all. Bowmont Park has excellent views of the Bow, which I find is one of the best things about the area.
Beautiful green area with many different trails both paved and unpaved. You can take a casual stroll to the river or a more intense hike up the hills for a birds eye view of the city. Very spacious so even on busy days you can find some space to yourself. Very clean and well kept. Can walk for 20 minutes or 2 or more hours. Connects to other trails throughout the city. Benches and rest areas in some parts. Saw some ducks and a snake. Can’t wait to go back.
One of the very best locations in this awesome city to see both the downtown core as well as snow capped Mountains, looking past our majestic bridges, over 50 km away
Great for kids. The boardwalk takes you right to the little waterfalls and the view from the top along the Bow is amazing. Great for pics. A nice afternoon walk, have a picnic on the flat rock up from the three falls.
This is a nice park to take a walk with the family, not very busy compared to Bowness Park. Nice easy walk, basic trail, and off leash areas for dogs. Nice place to take a break during the week or weekend.
There is a beautiful bridge on bow river at the beginning of this park. It is almost flat. There are astonishing views of the city and the river in the park.
This park is wonderful at all times of the year and a great place to live so close to. Lots of nature, near the river, and a great place for the pup to run around.
There is a great fenced off leash dog park for new pet owner who are uncomfortable letting their dog off leash. It's a great place for your dog to socialize, while you can stand back observe, or participate in a game of catch.
Bowmont park is a great place to do a bunch of outdoor activities. Walking, biking, exploring the new Dale Hodges park or just taking in the amazing views of the river and mountains. There is lots of terrain to explore and great inner city mountain biking. But please don't wreck the trails. Stay on existing trails, follow signs, and do t ride when it's wet.
Great park in the city. Multiple trails for walking, hiking or biking. The paved trails are for all, young and old. The paved trail is also wheelchair accessible with a few challenging hills. The dirt trails go from easy to more challenging. Great views of the Bow River from most trails. Dog friendly park.
Such a beautiful area! It’s so big and there’s a lot of places that you can get right down to the Bow River! There’s a good amount of parking right by the dog park and it’s just a short walk down to the river! There’s so much to explore!
Nice big inclosed space for off leash fun.also backs on to the river which has many different entrances not to have to fight over positioning in the river.only problem is the amount of people who go here is pretty high
It is amazing location within city limit. The park has bbq, shades and place for everyone to sit. They have huge pit fire in one of the site. You need to book your site in advance because it is very popular in summer. The river is full and good for kayaking. Not so safe for swimming however. It is kid friendly. Wheelchair accessible. It has public washrooms. Biking and running track is good. Not so quiet during summer time but not too crazy crowded if you pick your spot wisely.
Great place for walking, cycling and chilling with family and friends. Great views of Bow river and also nice place to sit and read, just inside the city.
Absolutely gorgeous place to take a walk. I always bring my dog here and he loves it as much as I do. There are some nice places to take your dog for a nice swim or to just sit around with some friends.
Very pretty place to spend your time. Just be careful when hiking along the boardwalk as there are some random steps that you may not be able to see clearly.
Beautiful park for families where you can walk or push strollers or wheelchairs through easily. The path is shared with bikes so just be careful. There is a one way street to the parking lot which leads to the park. Benches are available along the path by the river. We saw so much wildlife and flora. This is also home to the osprey nest.
Beautiful park with trails for everyone. Some of the single track by rivers edge is starting to get a little dangerous as it is eroding but there is so much to choose from. Beautiful views of the city and mountains.
They just opened up the new Dale Hodges Park. Some sections have pretty large stones on the pathway just in case you are pushing a stroller or something with small wheels. People were also letting their dogs play in the water that's clearly housing birds - City should put up clearer "keep dogs out of the water" signs because common sense is not shared by all.
If you've some time, you can walk the entire pathway through Bowmont, and enjoy all the nature
Beautiful area to walk or bike. Paved path as well as lots of areas to walk in the woods. Right beside the river. The only thing I don't like is there are very few garbage bins.
