I recently had the pleasure of working with the Bredin Centre for Career Advancement during my job search process. I was impressed by the level of support and guidance I received from their team, especially Nicole. Her professionalism, positive attitude, and willingness to help left me with nothing but respect and appreciation. I am also very thankful to my coach Lynn, who was always there for me. Both of them were very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process.

The Career Link Program which I was assigned to is designed to help unemployed and underemployed Albertans develop strategies and work towards successful employment. The program offers a variety of workshops, including job search techniques, understanding the labor market, and communication skills. It also provides employment services that offer exposure to the Alberta labor market through direct employment placement and supports and direct job matching.

Thanks to the support of Bredin’s team, I was able to find a job that I was looking for. The Bredin Centre for Career Advancement offers a wide range of services to help job seekers like me find meaningful employment. They provide skill assessments, job search coaching, and guidance on navigating the current labor market. Their staff is knowledgeable and dedicated to helping their clients succeed.

Overall, my experience working with the Bredin Centre for Career Advancement was exceptional. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for employment assistance.

Great professional center! Consultation about job, resume, interview and different training

Indeed, one can readily discern that the Bredin Center possesses commendable attributes deserving of wholehearted acknowledgment. It is glaringly evident that within its hallowed precincts, an undeniable degree of industriousness, enthusiasm, unwavering commitment, and assiduousness is wholeheartedly channeled toward a singular objective: the pursuit of securing your gainful employment.

From a deeply personal vantage point, one may venture to posit that the Bredin Center has functioned as a talisman of remarkable efficacy in my odyssey towards gainful employment. On two distinct occasions, it has come into sharp focus that my fortuitous association with the Bredin Center coincided serendipitously with the swift attainment of gainful employment. This culmination was underpinned by prior interviews conducted with entities wholly unrelated to my affiliation with the Center.

The ensemble of individuals with whom I had the privilege of collaborating stands as a testament to their notable distinction. Zeenat, in her role as Program Manager, exhibited a rare blend of patient attentiveness and resourcefulness, promptly marshaling support to fortify my professional endeavors. Her unwavering optimism and empathetic assurance of my eventual success left an indelible imprint on my journey. Nancy, deserving of heartfelt gratitude, meticulously evaluated my portfolio, extended patient listening, and provided invaluable assistance and resources. Her steadfast belief in my capabilities served as a profound wellspring of encouragement. Nicole, similarly, exhibited exceptional dedication, adroitly employing her skills to refine and enhance cover letters and resumes in alignment with job descriptions across various fields of employment.

My profound appreciation and heartfelt gratitude extend to these generous benefactors, even though I ultimately secured gainful employment through independent means.

I don't know how I feel about this, I gave them an update based on what I was told from Alberta Income Supports and I should still work with them but I also have FASD which is a disability but apparently we have "triggers" which makes sense in some terms.
I was instructed to be assessed again for FASD since the medical field tends to get rid of records after a certain period of time but that's a different rant; I am to be assessed and then apply for AISH immediately afterwards which is a lengthy process of its own.
I haven't started the paperwork or anything yet, but today I was told Bredin isn't able to help me because I have a disability and triggers and they can't help because I am with another government funded program?

WHICH PROGRAM? TELL ME, I'M CONFUSED.

Is it Alberta Income Supports? Or the AISH program which I haven't even started anything on that yet because I need to be re-assessed first?

I feel discriminated against but I also feel like that wasn't their intentions, unless it was.

They directed me to Prospect at Kingsway, I understand the concept when one door closes another opens but don't throw it in my face and expect me to get it. I felt labeled and disrespected like I didn't matter. <- Now I understand about triggers.

My name is Rajinder Kaur, I was a student at Bredin College since 2021, In March 2023 by mistake I landed 10th floor of Bredin Centre, that day was lucky in my job search journey. At the front desk, I met a nice woman Reuquia, she is the source of bringing Amazing Mentor Chandni Handa in my struggle period. Chandni Handa is not only a professional facilitator, she is also a kind-hearted person. Chandni Handa provided me with all sources according to my time demand. Finally, I am successful in my job search and got a job in my field. I am thankful for the Bredin Center team as well as David Owen, they provide employment support to our community. After relocating from Ontario to Edmonton, I faced numerous challenges in my job search journey. However, I am incredibly grateful that I discovered Bredin Centre for Career Advancement, as they provided me with invaluable assistance throughout the entire process. The employment coaches and mentors at Bredin's CareerLink program were exceptional. They guided me on how to make my resume ATS friendly and equipped me with excellent interview tips through their job club. With their support, I went from having no job prospects to receiving multiple offers.

One aspect I truly appreciated from the CareerLink program was the comprehensive support they provided, including training and short courses that were essential for securing employment. My career coach, Tesfa, went above and beyond to offer all the necessary assistance, ensuring I received the trainings and certifications I needed. Additionally, Roan, my employment specialist, was instrumental in matching me with relevant job postings that aligned with my qualifications and desired positions. She took the time to review my resumes for each application, ensuring they were tailored with the job description. Tesfa and Roan also took time to conduct mock interview sessions, which greatly prepared me for the actual interviews.

Furthermore, Nancy, our facilitator, organized informative workshops on interview preparation and coping strategies for job seekers. Her guidance and insights were invaluable throughout the process.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Bredin Centre for Career Advancement to anyone seeking employment. They provide unparalleled support, ensuring you have all the assistance you need to succeed and get hired in no time.

I had the pleasant opportunity to enrol in the CareerLinks program at the Bredin Centre for Career Advancement. My Career Coach Nancy is a dedicated coach and great teacher. Roan also taught great workshops and consistently supported me with relevant job opportunities and training and certification resources. I also had many meaningful and courageous interactions with Zeenat and other program and office staff.

The programs were instrumental in helping me see my own potential. Learning how to effectively target my cover letters and resumes towards specific jobs and organizations has been absolutely crucial to understanding my fit for those jobs and organizations, preparing for the interviews, and developing my confidence for the positions. I have gained important interview skills and got hired at one of my dream organizations after only one month at Bredin.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and supportive. As a client my needs where addressed and each stage of success from getting interviews to getting hired where celebrated.

Bredin takes care of their clients. And I have been recommending their services to my friends. It has truly been a journey of learning, growing, and exploring my potential!

One of the first things I noticed about this centre is that the people are welcoming! From the receptionist to the career coach people, you feel that they are people who care. I have particularly met Zeenat who is a Career coach. She is a kind and caring lady. I have requested her to help me fund some safety tickets that I needed for my new job. She timely sent my request through the government funding programmes and have been approved. Thank you Zeenat. She also helped me understand how to engage with employers better in terms of my job search. I really appreciate her. She is doing a great service for the community.

If I could give Bredin 1 million stars I would. They literally saved my life. My name is David Gibson and I was very lost in regards to my employment in this world. I was with a career that was not cutting it, applying to the government every month for help and financial bail outs. Every month was a struggle to make my monthly minimum payments and keep food on the table. After reaching out to multiple options I finally found Bredin. I met a gentleman by the name of Tesfa who was absolutely amazing. Pushing me through my first set of training to obtain my Class 3 license never giving up on me. Many times I was discouraged but with the initial support, both mental and financial, I pushed through the first chapter and passed my class 3. Then I was introduced to the sweetest lady in the world by the name of Maria Cruz. With her amazing ability she shopped my credentials to multiple employers granted me funding for training that was required never gave up on me and landed me and amazing job with a top end professional employer in the oil and gas industry.

Without the support and resources provided by Bredin I would have never had this amazing opportunity and still would be applying to the government every month for financial support. This program is amazing and as long as you are there to put in the work, they are there to back you 110 percent in whatever you need. They are amazing and I can't say thank you enough for the amazing support you both provided me. Thank you Tesfa and Maria. You guys truly went above and beyond to help a guy get back on his feet to support his family! All I got to say is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Thank you!

I came to Canada three months ago. I was born in Mexico but I have dual citizenship (Mexican-Canadian). Arriving at Bredin Center was the best thing that could happened to me. Bredin has a highly qualified staff to help you understand the labor process in Canada, and to be able to obtain the best job according to your professional level and education. My career coach Marisa Moretto Dover was my best guide and encouragement to find a job opportunity. Chandni Handa and Karri Melo were also excellent mentors in my job search. I have no words that can express all my gratitude to these 3 women and Bredin Center. I can only say that if you are looking how to be successful in your job search, this is the best place you can go. THANK YOU BREDIN CENTRE AND STAFF
