The receptionist was so rude I stopped calling and looked into other shelters

I love Brendas House for there amazing staff wonderful supports and very beautiful House. My daughter and I were homeless with no place to go and no one would take us in. Brendas house gave me a chance and now i am able to stand on my own two feet. Thank you Brendas House and thank you Dawn for buying me skates for the Hockey Tournament.

I would rate this 0 if I could. I was fleeing an abusive relationship, and drove 8 hours to get here. Halfway to Calgary, I phoned and a man with a heavy accent answered the phone. He told me that I had to be in the city to get an intake. I had to be there in person, he was telling me it’s a first come first serve. So I got there, at 9pm (with my cranky, tired 8 month old daughter. I was just out of the hospital and tired) and I call brendas house. A lady answered and she told me they ONLY do intakes over the phone! And that they don’t know if they have any rooms available. I told them what was going on and they told me they can’t accept me because of “security reasons” (my abusive ex finding me and going there)

It's like a home when u really need safe place n they have the most beautiful amazing manager there she there when u need it I would like to say thanks
