The location is the best part of this lodge! It is in the heart of downtown Banff and is perfect if you just want to park the car and walk everywhere, the area is very walkable. The only downside of this hotel is the elevator was out 4/5 days we were there. It made carrying 3 bags of luggage down, quite difficult. The stairs are not a quick, one staircase, it is a bit of a maze. To get from the parkade to the top floor you take 3 different staircases. The rooms are nice and clean and come with a great view for the mountain.
Great Location, great complimentary breakfast! Most of all, we were extremely impressed with your front desk employees. They spent so much time with us, helping plan our days and had great suggestions on what to see and do. The young lady that helped us check in on Wednesday 7/26/23 was excellent. In addition she even went out of her way when she saw us return from our day of hiking and sight seeing at Sunshine Village to ask us how everything went, and if we need any additional help to let her know. Outstanding Customer Service!
I’ve called this place everyday for a week to get some expensive sandals I left behind back. The first day a man took my email address and said I would be emailed some shipping instructions because they had found the sandals. Email never came. I call multiple times per day and it goes straight to voicemail. Please just get me my sandals back! So unprofessional
Super Central location, walking distance to restaurants, cafes and bars. Room was clean and perfectly appointed, staff at check in were helpful and friendly. The parking option was great too. Loved the local flavour and would recommend
We stayed in the king suite and loved it! Our favourite place we have stayed in Banff and we have stayed in quite a few. Lovely interior decor, warm and cozy, log furniture, great views of the mountains, very central location, luxurious jacuzzi, very clean. Complimentary breakfast is ok, but you are opposite the best bakery in Banff - wildflour! Note that you do have to pay for parking however - I think it was $20. We felt that should have been included in the price, as this place is not cheap.
A great location, walking distance from all the shops in the village of Banff. Rooms were clean, and staff were friendly. Price was very competitive to what was offered around Banff. My husband and I had stayed at the Fairmont during our previous trips but this time, we found this gem in the heart of Banff and almost prefer it because of the pricing and location. Only thing was the parking lot was a tighter fit and spots seemed a little smaller
Staying at this lodge was the best decision we made! It was central to all the shops and restaurants in Banff, as well as all the bus stops. Very accessible. Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful re: activities, and left us a nice touch in the room as we were there for our honeymoon. The room itself was comfortable with a great view (Loft King suite). The tub had a jacuzzi, and they provided bath salts and robes. The included breakfast provided a great start every morning. They had bagels, toast, sweet and savory pastries, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juices, coffee, tea.
Only "negative" thing was the lack of lighting in the room. We missed a step a few times when going down the stairs. Even during the day time the lamps in the room did not provide a safe amount of light.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends!
The room was clean and a nice facility. The breakfast room was well equipped and they had a high chair which we very much appreciated! I was surprised to spend so much on a room that didn’t have air conditioning but everything else was great.
Fantastic looking property with beautiful wooden features and could not be in a more perfect location. Very big and spacious building throughout. Team on Reception (sorry, I didn't catch your names) were all very friendly and helpful. Cookies on Reception at check in are a nice little bonus! Rooms were spacious were good amenities. But I'll cut to the chase, there is no air con. They don't advertise that they have air con, but it's worth knowing because the desk fan in the room is nowhere near enough to keep you cool in summer time in Banff. Our room faced out to 3 bears brewery (well worth a visit fyi) but this meant no privacy and a lot of noise too - you're going to want to leave your window open because as I mentioned, it's pretty toasty. Breakfast is no-frills but does a job. I really don't understand all the negative comments about breakfast. There are plenty of places to eat in Banff if you're that offended by it.
Beautiful low-rise hotel in Banff with generations of family history and a respectful nod to the First Nation prople. Complimentary continental breakfast. Easy to get to the Banff Gondola using the local Roam buses. Staff are friendly and efficient and in no way pompous. Banff Town is a great place to wander around with quaint wee shops as well as your standard tourist shops. Try some of the local brewery pubs for beer or gin.
We love how this hotel is centrally located to everything, park your car & walk everywhere in Banff. The parade clearance is 6’4”, our truck is 6’6”, so we parked for free in the nearby parkade, we were able to pull in front of the hotel (2 vehicles would probably fit), to unload. I love the attention to detail when I was checking in. We were hungry & tired from the trip & (I’ve never seen this in any hotel before), they had fresh baked, individually wrapped cookies for guests. This is a unique & thoughtful action on behalf of the management & it was appreciated. We were greeted by Georgia, a lovely young lady, friendly & multitasking between our check in & the phone & other guests, she helped us feel welcomed & answered all our questions. The loft room is spacious, clean & comfortable with a cozy king-size bed. We stayed in the loft room (3rd floor, room 315) and it was quite on a Thursday night & had a nice big balcony with a couple chairs facing a walking street. The corner suite is #316 for future information, but I don’t think anyone was beside us, we didn’t hear anything if there was someone there. 2 TV’s, one up & one down, a mini fridge & cosy housecoats. On the downside, our bathroom sink was draining slowly (possibly management doesn’t know), & I would have liked to see an extra Kleenex box by the bed upstairs, but these are minor issues for the fantastic price we paid, staying in central Banff. There is a deep jetted tub in the loft suite I stayed in as well. We will definitely be back. I’m a Calgary local & have tried several hotels here, & we usually stay up by tunnel mountain, we tried something different & I’m happy we did. This is a central Gem hotel, with a free amazing breakfast (not continental), delivered to your room in the morning, & thoughtfully prepared. I can tell the management actually care about their guests & the Banff experience.
It’s Ok! Good Location but if you’re planning to stay at this hotel, Think twice! First of all, you have to pay extra $20 for a late check-out till 1pm (the staff should offer complimentary checkout till 12pm), Second, don’t expect a microwave and a mini fridge in your room and Lastly, you can’t even use the accessibility parking tsk tsk tsk! (Photo insert)
Other hotel in Banff offers complimentary late check out till 1pm (No extra cost!) and has mini fridge and microwave for the same hotel price with great location as well. Complimentary Breakfast also included!
I never used to have a problem getting a hotel room where our family of five can be all together in one room. Front desk lady suggest we get another room only because my eldest child is 19. So we ended up with two rooms four queen size and my kids have I queen size bed each. Very unpractical for one night inside the village. We just had a long drive and another busy day ahead I didn’t have the energy to ask for any other options. I just hope that she suggested something else better, a bigger room for a family of five or extra charge for each person, not extra big room for one more person.
We only had a short stay but the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and close to everything. The decor was very nice and the rooms were clean.
Great centrally located hotel in Banff. The staff are doing a great job delivering breakfast to your room. Great, remodeled ski storage since the last time we visited. Housekeeping staff very helpful. Housekeeping every 3rd day by arrangement with reception staff, but towels etc available more frequently if required. Can't fault it.
They were absolutely amazing. Location is in the heart of downtown, right in front of the famous eddie burger. Front desk staffs have exceeded our expectation, every single person we’ve interacted with have went above and beyond to make our stay lovely. Esp (i couldnt get the name) two asian ladies at the front desk, they were nothing but sweet and accommodating and we were extremely impressed! I will always return to this location when coming to banff. Ive stayed at moose, and other lodges here but this hotel is definitely the best. The room is super clean, spacious, we got the king deluxe with double jetted jacuzzi, they provide bath salt and the whole atmosphere is super homey and lovely. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
Nice place.great location, clean, well run. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking is very tight underground but works. Free breakfast is fine, nothing huge but enough for me.all in all nothing to complain about, we will be back.p. S.beds are very soft, if you like a firm mattress, look elsewhere.
Service is great here and the location is perfect. Underground parking for $7 on a first come first serve basis. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Would stay here again.
Fantastic place to stay. The rooms were a lot bigger than we expected. The staff were super friendly and having parking under the hotel was not expected. Would have loved a pool but the location is too good to pass up on.
We stayed here for a week. This is a great hotel. Very clean. We loved the location. The loft room and balcony were very special. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The prices are very good. I will definitely stay here again.
We stayed @ Brewster's for four nights and it was a terrific experience all around. The hotel is very clean, COVID CLEAN, the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, the location cannot be beat, and the rooms are beautiful. We enjoyed just parking the car and walking through-out town. The Saltlik restaurant is located just beside the hotel, we ate here 3 out of the four nights (I think it was closed on the 4th evening), a great spot for Happy Hour, some great nibbles and drinks.
The room was clean and organized but the air was so dry that we could not sleep. On their page they offer free parking but it is not true. For what the hotel offers you and the attention of the reception, it is not worth staying in that hotel.
I stayed @ Brewster Lodge with my family in our recent trip to Banff. It was an excellent experience. The Lodge is right at the downtown, very accessible to all scenic places in the neighborhood. Also close to ton of food places. While the Lodge doesn't have a pool, it does have sauna and gym, which we found acceptable. More particularly, it was the staff who made our stay an enjoyable one - we found the staff very helpful, courteous and professional in their approach!
Hands down the best stay I've ever had. I booked the king bed loft room. From the website photos I knew it would be a cool room, but it actually exceeded my expectations. I nearly cried when I walked in! I had a large balcony that overlooked Bear St and it was amazing. Perfect location for downtown Banff. A cute living room and loft bedroom. The place was so charming and the bathroom was STOCKED with things (including make up wipes, q tips etc). I came during a very hot week and was expecting my room to be hot obviously considering there is no AC but it wasn't that bad. I left the window and balcony doors open when I was inside, and closed all curtains when I was gone for the day. The included delivery breakfast is a nice touch. I honestly couldn't get enough of my room during my solo vacation that I spent so much time there (I've lived in Banff before so I am very familiar with it.) The space you get for the price is extremely worth it and I'll absolutely be coming back here the next time I come out west.
The hotel staff here is amazing, each and everyone of them went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Clean, friendly, cozy atmosphere and great location! 2 minute walk from the best restaurants in Banff.
Great services and room are a good size. Unfortunately they don't have air conditioning and we were there during a record heat wave. I still rate them 4 stars which tells you how great the service was!
The front staff were unreal. So kind and accommodating. We loved our room, it was very clean and the jet tub was amazing. They even still did complimentary breakfast despite it being covid & it was right on time and delicious. The location of the hotel is perfect if you want a relaxing trip and to be able to walk to everything. Overall, we loved our stay & cannot wait to come back. Thank you to the gentleman & lady at the front, we had such a great time!
The service was excellent. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Food was great! Location is perfect. Our room is clean and beds are so comfortable! We will definitely come back.
We had a great stay here! The customer service was phenomenal, everyone was extremely professional & friendly. The room was very clean & homey, comfortable bed & the jacuzzi was really nice. There were several options for breakfast which got delivered to the room in the morning. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, located around the corner from the main road and within walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here in 2017. Room was huge, very comfortable accommodation. Unfortunately late-night street noise was intrusive and the breakfast room and arrangements were below our expectations. Parking under the lodge was very convenient.
Very impressed; front desk was very helpful and even changed our room to a balcony room since the online app I booked on said it would have one. Rooms are clean and snazzy and beds are comfy.
This was such a great value. We spent 7 nights in Banff/Jasper and this was the only hotel that was able to provide a continental breakfast during Covid. We were able to order plenty of breakfast items that were delivered promptly to our door, free of charge. The staff was also super friendly and the accommodation was cozy and clean. There is construction around the hotel but they offer parking nearby, again free of charge.
Great place to stay downtown. Close to everything. Service was good and friendly. On the down side though, the toilets are children size and very difficult to use for normal size adults. The seat is the size of a dinner plate. Also very low to the ground and no hand bars to pull yourself up. We will not stay here again for this reason. They really cheaped out with this.
We stayed here for a week and the hotelvwas amazing. So many photos and framed newspaper clippings hanging around helped us learn about the Brewster family. Thanks for an amazing stay. Ellie especially was an absolute delight to deal with.
Very cosy with warm and friendly staff. Clean and nice rooms with lots of space! Located in the centre of all the action in Banff and convenient for any kind of activity. Complementary breakfast is good and filling.don’t forget to try the freshly baked cookies at the registration counter. Whoever bakes it please tell him/her to start it as a main business.its simply awesome!
Great place to stay while visiting Banff and area. Right in the heart of downtown Banff definitely has its advantages for shopping, dinning and other activities.
The room was spacious and offered a high ceiling. It was kept clean well supplied, except for coffee whitener (no, didn't enjoy my morning coffee).
Although we didn't get a restful sleep due the the ice clearing vehicle clearing buildup ice in the back alley from 3 to 5am, I understand this was out of their control.unless that was under their own contract. Otherwise, please make the issue know at the next town meeting.
Check in procedure was a bit more cumbersome than most places, requiring much info and signatures.
It's a nice hotel, and great location for being in the middle of banff. Rooms however are a little outdated the showers were really small and there is very limited parking. The staff is friendly and breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast overall for the price we paid it was good,
We really like staying at Brewster’s Mountain Lodge in Banff as it is centrally located, has nice rooms, underground heated parking and finally offer a free continental breakfast that is a great start to each day. Some of the staff have been there for some time and are helpful and many are new but the service is pretty good. I have been staying here for 5 or more years and will continue as the rates are generally pretty good. Worth visiting for sure.
A good hotel. Rooms are modest but clean. No fridge in the room, nor a microwave, but there is a coffee maker. Nice sauna and fitness room. Good breakfast offering which is very convenient for skiers.
Loved this place, located in the heart of Banff, and near all the action for the #banffsnowdays snow carvings. Plus the have off street coverd parking and breakfast.
Dirty bedding. Pillows smelled like sweat. Taps broken in bathroom. Dirty tub. We were in room number 308 November 1 till November 3rd 2019. All you could hear was construction across the street.
Brewsters is excellent, simple, clean, warm and cozy, excellent staff who are very accommodating. Surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops etc, what more could you want.
Had a great stay at Brewster’s. Friendly staff while checking in, nice room with comfortable bed, and solid breakfast. Would highly recommend! Also the underground heated parking was a huge plus.
Love this place! Nice and quiet.close to everything! Free breakfast too. Beds were great. Price was better than others in this area. Workout room and sauna to boot!
Lost my air pods there and they called me and shipped them to me no charge.i would have neevr known where i dropped them if it wasnt for the wonderful staff.
