It was our first visit but this place is the real deal. Pork pies, Scotch eggs, sausages, black pudding, and Shropshire blue. Nice cuts of meat. Imported snacks. Friendly and knowledgeable service. For me, I finally found a place with good pork pies. Give the place a visit and I am sure you will find something you like.

I have bought some of your products from the the Alder cafe and grocery in Canmore. Sausages, lovely. Steak pies, fantastic with lovely pastry. I had my first of your pork pies yesterday. As an ex brit who has lived in Canada for over 40 years and have experienced good and bad pork pies in trips back to the UK my verdict on yours, Absolutely Gorgeous served with English mustard and salad. I am definitely going to make at trip to Okotoks in the near future.

I did a round trip of an hour to go to this wonderful butchers and a half hour chat with the owner. So worth it. Food is fresh, delicious and good value. So looking forward to a bacon butty for breakfast tomorrow

We tried the pork pies, hoping they were the "real thing" and we weren't disappointed. They were delicious. We'll be back for more.

We visited for the first time last weekend and definitely enjoyed their products. We went back today and loaded up again.

Chris loves the pork pies “just like home” he states. I enjoyed the Scotch eggs and sausage rolls. The sausage meat they use is sooo good! And, I’m not even a fan of pork! We’ve tried a lot of different places over the 13 years we’ve been in Alberta and they are the best in my opinion. But I’m not the English blooded person in the house that can give the truest opinion. Chris was also happy to get his Cup of Soup today! For me it was the Cheese and Onion crisps.

My first visit yesterday and wow. Such a selection and wonderful staff. Tried the bacon today and it didn’t shrink and tasted amazing. Will be back soon.

What a gem of a business! Amazing/delicious product, bested only by top notch service. I love coming into this place! They make you feel very welcome. Scotch eggs and pork pies are the best you will find.

I sent an email yesterday asking if I could order a fresh Turkey and ham for Christmas. I had a very abrupt response from them saying cannot help on turkey’s and if I want a ham fill in a form, but only if you are a regular customer! No please or thanks, I lived in Canada for many years and am coming to spend Christmas with our daughters in Okotoks. I thought the idea was to support local businesses. I suggest you get some PR skills, what a miserable couple of people.

The hunt for delicious Haggis is over, this butcher makes a very tasty recipe and reasoanably priced. They also mentioned for $10 they will deliver to Calgary with a week's notice! So Easy!

Hygiene concerned us when our server picked up sausages and packed them with bare hands then proceeded to pass the Interac terminal and process our payment with dirty hands. No washing, rinsing or wiping and after that moved on to the next customer. I emailed my concern to the owners and whose reply was curt and defensive saying this practice was fine and not necessary to wash hands only if switching from raw to cooked. This was the reply from Tracy wordsley. I guess the owner

“When serving raw meat and using the register, we don't have to wash our hands. As raw food should be cooked to a temperature of 72 degrees or above “

So the interac terminal covered in raw meat? That’s ok? Yikes super grossed out if this is acceptable I wonder what goes on in the back? Worrying cross contamination in our opinion. By the way I am not a fake review they seem to say that every time someone leaves a less than five star review. Her Email is available if anyone wants to see it.

Although unfortunately i have to say that the pork pies are not like as back home & also are quite expensive given the quality.

Love the sausages, they are to die for. I personally like the skinny ones and the lamb. I also found all my brit food I've been missing too. Well worth the drive.

I used to love this place but sadly, it is no longer what it once was. Since the refurbishment the quality of the sausage rolls and pasties has plummeted. They seem to be half the size they were and the filling is greatly reduced. Sadly, the price hasn't. I'm also wondering if the recipe for SR has changed as it seemed full of herbs. We were really disappointed as we hadn't been for a few weeks and had been looking forward to the bakery. It has nice staff and a decent choice of goods but the price increases and drop in quality of food has put us off and despite once being my fave place, we won't be returning. Shame.

Very bad experience with bangers black pudding the worse black pudding of my life no taste! The texture is not what black pudding should be coming from France I do appreciate what a good product look like.
Also pork pie same no taste you are paying to much money for garbage product wake up customer this is bad.
Stop paying top dollars for very poor quality product. I will never purchase product from this store again.

Amazing shop, awesome owners and fantastic products! Lots of variety and if they don’t have something, they will (if they can) try their best to get it for you, you only have to ask! The premises are always immaculate, well maintained and the staff are consistently-washing their hands! The meat products are exactly, if not better than what we all remember from back home, as are the baked goods too! All of the products speak for themselves. Great staff, great shop and THE best pork pies around!

I highly recommend this business. They make the most amazing British bacon and sausage. Just eating a bacon and egg butty now. There's another business out there that leaves fake reviews on this business to bring their rating down (obvious to tell which ones are real and which ones aren't as tend to use strange names and the reviews are quite far fetched) so definitely try the British Banger Company out and make your own judgement. Food is amazing and looks amazing. Atmosphere in the store is great, owners and staff always joking around with customers. When deliveries are done they are done in a temperature controlled vehicle. Great company and great people. Store is very clean and staff always wash their hands prior to handling cooked / raw food.

It's so exciting to find a place locally that sells Scotch eggs and Cornish pasties. They're delicious. The best sausage rolls around too!

The shop is clean and very well laid out. Lots of British goodies lots of fresh meats and sausages on display.
New to the shop Pork pies both large and small. All in all very impressive.

It was our first visit and I'll definitely be going again. There are a few places in the area that offer a taste of home but only these guys actually do.

Apparently they believe they are the only ones allowed to make and sell UK food. Welcome to canada a free enterprise system that allows competition.

I really enjoy their fresh cuts of meat, and their meat pies and sausage rolls are great for a quick meal. They are very quick with a joke too, nice people.
