They had what I needed but I was really surprised it cost $100 more than every where else I was looking. Had I known it was going to be $840 I would have just shelled out the other $60 and went to Alberta Forrest and got the 9010T. Oh well my fault for not asking the price first I guess.
Staff are great, friendly, and professional. Good merchandise, i guess my only peave is the length of time it takes to get something repaired, but it is understandable due to the volumes of repairs they under take, which i guess says a lot about repeat business.
Very disappointed with the turnaround in service. Delivered a lawn mower for repairs on April 29,2023. Repairs completed June 5th. They did not even look at the unit for well over 2 weeks after stating an initial assessment time of 8 business days. They took forever to replace a plastic part. Complained about not having enough staff. Will never recommend them to friends or family.
If you don't give them a contract to repair 30 mowers, they won't help you. My lawn tractor was left unattended for 4+ weeks. I paid the diagnostic fee and got out of there. Casual small engine owners beware. Reception was very rude and swore over the phone.
I took my Champion Generator which had less than 100 hours on it due to sporadic idling and not producing sufficient current. Three weeks later I got it back with a new carburetor, a recommendation or a new starter board (more than $700), and a bill of almost $300.00. While it appeared to run well on the shop it did not a thousand km.later on our way home in our RV. A second repairman allowed us an emergency repair did a smoke test. He said it was only a vacuum leak and did not ever need a carburetor which apparently was improperly installed and fixed it in less than an hour. Not impressed.
Great staff, and they have almost everything Stihl! When in there looking for spark plugs. The helped me right away, even chatted for a few with the staff.
Called three shops for parts for my later model mower. One didn't bother getting back to me, the other said 4-6 weeks for the parts (my grass was a foot long at this point due to the wet June of 2022). Heres the fun part, brothers two siad Yep can get it by tmrw, AND, they said and stayed true to that they'd get it by noon. Which they did. Which is awesome. Friendly staff too.
A few weeks ago I took wiper sniper and a pressure washer to Brothers Two Small Engines Inc for an estimate. Last week I was called and informed the wiper sniper was too expensive to fix. Yesterday I called for the pressure washer and it was ready. When I tried it today the engine sounded great but no pressure. I call and the lady said to bring it back! Chelsea took the pressure washer to the technician immediately and once they found the issue she told me it was the wand. Best customer service ever! Please refer your friends! It’s a treasure when we can find honest, friendly people to help less knowledgeable mechanical inclined people like me.
My dad (no e-mail) has been dealing with Brothers Two for years and years. He may not be a regular customer there but has CONSISTENTLY raved about the "good old fashioned service and effort" that seems to be lacking at other businesses these days. Brothers Two have obtained parts made of "unobtainium" consitently for him. Such as carb parts for an early 50s Onan power plant. Kohler parts for obsolete motors, and lately they steered him to the right place to get some belts for a vintage MTD electric mower that had NO parts listings available, period. Karley with her very extensive experience and dedication to customer service kept digging and scratching until PRESTO, there was a way to get these vintage parts for a vintage mower for the vintage customer!
Ordered and paid for a part.they called me when it arrived and I picked it up but I did notice that the showroom was very nice with good lighting (important when trying to sell expensive equipment,) and the girl that I delt with was very nice and helpful
My experience, with Brothers Two Small Engines, be very very good! From the 1st day of being a new customer and still to this day. Karley and Chelsea made you feel welcome, and both of them make purchasing small engine parts easy as they`re very familiar with a lot of small engine parts!
Thank you Karley and Chelsea, for making my experiences purchasing parts enjoyable!
Excellent customer service! Very friendly staff who are always happy to help. Our company has been using Brothers Two Small Engines since the beginning and have always been satisfied.
Hands down the best service I have ever received. Linda went above and beyond the call of duty for a small purchase. Family owned and operated gets my business every time. I will be ignoring all other lawn and garden equipment suppliers because my requirements don’t meet their criteria. Customer service is alive and thriving at Brothers Two!
My Ryan Aeration machine died. I have a lawn company and it is spring so we are running fast and hard. Brothers fixed the machine ahead of schedule so we could get back at it. The fast service saved me renting a machine and or rebooking work. I have recommended Brothers Two for years and will continue to bring my machines here for service.
The staff here went beyond the call of duty helping me with a frustrating situation with ryobi's battery operated snow blowers. They are friendly courteous and I would recommend this company to anybody that needs service on small engine power tools
A great place for those who are new to operating implements. The technicians will show you how to properly operate the equipment which was really valuable.
This place is awesome, have used them to repair all sorts of equipment, they give fair prices and great service. Chelsea has gone the extra mile to get me warranty on my equipment. Thanks so much! 10/10 recommend
Mediocre service and communication at a high price. Was charged over $100 to replace a simple starter cable on a basic lawn mower. They did not test the mower and informed me that my blades were incorrectly installed upside-down. My blades have never been changed, serviced, or removed and I tend to believe that my manufacturer did the right job installing them. My lawn mower was returned to me soaked (from their cleaning, according to them) and as dirty as when I dropped it off. It was left outside… Nobody informed me that my mower was ready to be picked up and I had to call myself to ask about it. A little disappointed with the service, costs, and communication. I won’t be back.
This is the first time i have ever given a company a bad review. Came to Brothers Two Small Engine for help with a repair. They said fix and inspection would be covered under warranty when it was not. Then kept my item for a longtime demanding i pay, did repairs when i asked for only inspection and continued to jack up price. Won't return my item unless i pay over $200 for nothing.
These guys are always great. Chelsea was able to find a part for me that isn’t made anymore, and they’re always willing to do a little extra to help their customer. Very friendly shop as well.
Linda was fantastic. She really helped me out as a first time customer. The part I was looking for wasn’t available anymore, but she was able to send me an exploded view of my old snowblower for future reference. She’s great at what she does. Thankyou Linda!
Sept 16,2021 I went in to pick up a br200 still blower that I had purchased on air miles. I asked if I could upgrade to a more powerful one and just pay the difference to which they said I could. Excellent, they directed me to a br450 that would be perfect for my needs as I will be using it mostly for blowing snow. As it turned out I was accidentally given a br450c which has an electric start feature which the plain br450 does not. But I was told even though they made the mistake I could keep the one I was given which had the electric start for no charge. I would recommend Brothers two small engines to anyone who is in the market for a “small engine. ” My neighbour Henry directed me to Brothers two as he is there quite frequently to have his equipment serviced and to get fuel and supplies.
Very bad repair shop to deal with. Rude Manager and rude employee. They will steal you on supply and hours of labours. Worst they will waste your time by holding your units for 3 weeks with nothing done. I do not recommend this store.
Noah: My friend and i brought in our power washer for a simple inspection, the did a fix without our permission then demanded an obscene amount of money for something we never asked for. Will not return out item. Will be calling the police because this is thievery.
Very rood manager, no customer service, very expensive, waiting 2 to 3 weeks to get machine only inspected with Ridiculous charge. They will steal you on labour.
Amazing crew, super helpful. Went above and beyond to find a cap I've been looking for on my fuel tank and kept my business going! Cannot reccomend the customer service enough.
Customer service like nothing I have seen! Super friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. I needed my lawnmower blade sharpened and called many companies. Brothers Two was the first to be friendly on the initial call and then tell me it was ok to bring in my lawnmower as most said I could only bring in my blade. It only took 20 minutes as they had promised. Run don't walk if you need any of their services. I will recommend them to everyone that requires this type of service or equipment. Laura
I called first thing this morning and was told I could wait 15 - 20 minutes for my lawn-mower blade to be sharpened. Another shop I connected with said that I had to wait a week. I opted for Brothers Two as the service was immediate.
I was given directions, and Two Brothers were spot on. I was invited to fetch a coffee while I waited and was directed to a Tim Horton's nearby. When I returned, I sat on their luxurious lawn drinking my cuppa and a call arrived tell me the blade was ready. The service person wrapped it in cardboard and plastic wrap so that I wouldn't shear myself. In summary, the service provided was as advertised and very pleasant. I can hardly wait to experience the "new" cut!
Fantastic service before AND after the sale. Ordered a hard to find piston for Briggs and was kept informed about eta even though it took some time to get (no fault of Brothers Two!). They were very helpful with torque specs and some skill testing questions about cam gear/crank alignment too! I highly recommend this store as the staff are outstanding!
Great customer service. I accidentally opened the front panel of my chain saw with the brakes on. Turns out that locks the brakes in place, so I couldn’t close the panel. These guys offered to give me a hand closing it as it is something I cannot do on my own. They did it within minutes. For such great service, I ended up buying a PPE kit from them. Hard to find such great service these days.
This shop and staff is absolutely amazing! Customer service is above and beyond
Had some issues with an obscure trike Briggs and Stratton motor and went to see them to see if they could rework the engine pistons as it was spitting oil. (My thought was busted piston rings not sealing anymore)
Instead of selling me their service or another engine, they sat down with me for quite a bit of time and listed off a checklist for me to do myself before them getting involved. They actually talked me out of pulling the engine and bringing it to them and to try their ideas first and whattta you know it worked.
They actually talked themselves out of making cash by sharing their knowledge and insisting I try all of them first and did so knowingly
Now if that’s not honesty and customer service you’d have to search long and wide for to find again I don’t know what is!
Hands down most honest friendly and helpful shop in the city period.
Wishing them all the best and no doubt if I ever have any small engine issues again there isn’t another shop I’d be going to ever
Had to bring in my snowblower for warranty repair as this was the repair Center listed for the extended warranty. 4 different parts were worn out and needed replacing. They only replaced the simple drive belt that was failing. The worn auger belts and worn out but the service tech wouldn’t replace. The side plates are worn and they wouldn’t replace, the scraper blade is worn and they just flipped it over. When asked why they wouldn’t replace the side plates or auger belts, the service tech said they have to be careful what they charge the warranty insurance yet he had no problem charging $250 in labor to replace the drive belt which is a simple fix. Service tech is lazy and wouldn’t do the work requested even though the extended warranty covers wear and tear items. Don’t use them for service.
Brothers Two Small Engines went above and beyond helping me find the correct equipment to meet my needs. They were very friendly and worked quickly to get me on my way with my new lawn equipment. Very professional atmosphere made me feel delighted to work with them. Great Company, Great Prices and Great People!
Had lawnmover for repair that was under warranty. Hold for long time, does not provide you right info.never call back when done, waited 20 days for half hour work and over charged.keep calling to know status of repair.very bad experiance.not upset about warrant but service is poor
Haven't been here yet because unfortunately they didn't have the part (they offered to order it) BUT Carly was GREAT to work with. Over the phone walked me around what engine block # i i need for her to find the part that i spent hours on the internet trying to find but couldn't.
Definitely favorited on my list for any future small engine needs!
5 years ago I purchased a Toro Lawn Mower from another dealer here in Calgary. The first year I had no issues, the mower started with no problem. The next year I had starting problems, the mower wouldn't start. As the mower was under warranty I took it in to solve the issue. After 3+ visits, I still could not start the machine without numerous pulls, even the electric start wouldn't start it. Each time I picked it up they stated they could not find a problem. I even injured my rotator cuff trying to start the mower. I then decided to take the mower to Brothers Two. I met with Linda and told her my story. After two weeks I picked up the mower and it worked very well. This year I had the problem again, and called Linda. Instead of bringing the mower in for a service call, she took the time to walk me through it and getting it started at no charge. Linda and the staff at Brothers Two are the best. I would recommend them to anyone needing their services. Cam
This is by far the best small engine shop in Calgary. They are proof that the world will beat a path to your door if you provide a service well. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they have good management by the good staff. They always are competitive with their prices and they have maintenance supplies on hand and often parts In stock and sometimes repairs can be done while you wait. Why anyone would buy their outdoor equipment from a big box eludes me. I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR ALL MY COMPANIES SERVICE AND EQUIPMENT NEEDS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND THEM AND I ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL BE HAPPY. Terry Van de Geer.
The girls (and a guy also) at the front desk were extremely nice and very helpful. The parts that they didn't have in stock they were able to source in a very timely manner. These people want your business and do everything possible to give you the best service. Prices are reasonable also.
Ordered a part from here and they made me pre pay for the part promising me that it would be here within a week and they would contact me. I had to phone and ask if my part had arrived. My part did not arrive and was told it would hopefully be here within the next 2 weeks. I was now told the part was on back order and they could cancel my order or I could wait. I complained about the horrible customer service and I was basicly told by the manager that it is what it is.
Called Brothers looking for a particular Stihl saw after trying every other dealer in north Calgary, and not only did they have it in stock but they had it together and had in operating condition by the time I showed up. Then after I made the purchase, they sent out one of their mechs to give me a solid rundown of the saw. Great customer service and prices, will definitely give them more business in the future.
Had my Karcher Pressure Washer in for repair as it wouldn’t start. I was charged for a new carburetor. I didn’t run the unit because I had some health issues. Moved to Ontario and tried to start the washer. No luck. Took it to a local small engine repair shop. They stated that there is no way that was a new carb. They said it was so dirty and plugged up. I never ran the unit or even put gas in it until after I moved. I was ripped off for over $200. No way to get compensated this far away. I would conclude that this business is unscrupulous, wouldn’t you?
Not sure if the receptionist was having a bad day, but the tone of voice she used with my father was inappropriate for a business providing a service. The impression we got was that they do not value their customers. He did go to Arns and received information without an inappropriate tone of voice, same day service, not waiting 11 days, and 25% off parts.
I just bought a chainsaw from them and the women who helped me choose the right model for what I needed it for was very helpful. Highly recommend them for their knowledge, customer service and high quality products.
I went to this family owned business originally for a lawn mower blade. They went far beyond my expectations in helping me so when it was time to buy a snowblower I went back. I need to know about a product before I buy it. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. (I ask a lot of questions!). I bought my snowblower and definitely will go back to them for my outdoor tool needs. I am very happy with my purchase and the service I received.:)
Brothers Two has significantly exceeded all of my expectations. They have went above and beyond and have restored my faith in this type of business. They are all about communication, customer service and setting a reasonable expectation with their customers. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who desires the "old school" type of approach as a customer. They have won my trust as a business. For anyone who is searching for a trust worthy Company who will give you an honest answer, then look no further than Brothers Two.
Thank you for taking the time and going the extra distance for me as the customer!
This place is awesome! I phoned on Saturday to see if they had a part for an old chainsaw that no one else had and they had it! They were closing in 15 minutes and I said I could be there in about 15 minutes and would they mind waiting and they said not at all! I was wanting a new chainsaw and had a lot of questions and they were already closed by this time but took the time to give me the information and they set me up with a brand new saw and also took the time to give me a demonstration of how it operates. Best customer service I have experienced and very nice down-to-earth owners! I cannot see nor understand how anyone could write a bad review about this business! I guess as the saying goes you can't please everyone! I will definitely be back! And thanks for the free hat!
Fast, professional, and knowledgeable. One of the BEST small engine shops in calgary for service. I've never Had any issues with any of the fixes on my equipment, its always been done right the first time.
We bought a lawn mower April 2019 and it never worked properly. It could not start again after we emptied a first bag of grass each use. Linda was very patient to explain why adjusting engine RPM will fix the problem. She also made me realize we could never fill the bag due to lower engine RPM. Thanks for your professional service!
