Browns social house never disappoints, my wife and I have been coming to this location in Edmonton since we have moved to the city and it is our #1 spot to eat dinner, love the Cajun chicken Alfredo:) thanks browns we appreciate it:)

We went with the hockey team and they treated us good. Just be aware that they automatically add an 18% gratuity for groups. The food is good although some people said it was light on the food side, yet I was not hungry when we were done

Really! I brought guest to this neighborhood eatery on November 22. The food was good but we were all really put off by the hygiene of our waiter. He smelled really bad and left a lingering odor at our table when he came by. I'm not sure if he just needs to wash his clothes or needs a bath. Of course, once you're turned off, you notice more issues that further put you off the from the good things about browns. The greasy hair, unbrushed teeth are not what we expect from a server. Brad as the manager, you have to address this!

Food was good. Been to browns lots. Always a hit. Would love a pina colda on the cocktail menu thought! Super nice waitress and was busy!

Update!

Things got really expensive. Had a Cesar salad with chicken, a side of fries and a diet coke and it was $40. Ouch to the wallet.

My diet coke came with a hair on the rim of the glass. They obviously replaced it.

Food was tasty at least.

Had a really good meal here.

Ordered the gluten free hamburger lettuce wrapped instead of a gluten free bun. Used lots of crispy lettuce on it, was perfect. They do not have a dedicated fryer for fries. So fries will be cross contaminated. Instead we ordered the crispy cauliflower side. We just had them not crispy. They pan fried it in the sauce.

We also had the gluten free brownie dessert. Yum.

The staff was beyond rude. When our meals came out they dropped one of them apparently and didn’t let us know. 10 minutes late we still had no idea where it was and no one even came around to check on us. Then the tuna on my salad was really fishy so I asked for one without the fish. I order this dish often so I know it wasn’t up to standards. They then just took the fish off mine plate at the table. Then when the bill came they had charged me full price for the salad and the fish. When I brought it up to the manager kindly I let her know I’m not usually one to complain where she replied to me “yes you are”. I was disgusted how they treated paying customers. Last point is when they were clearing cutlery from our table after the bill was paid which I still tipped on they were grabbing it very aggressively by my 5 year olds head. When I said careful not stab my daughter she replied with I would like to stab you.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had and I will not ever support them any longer.

Our server Nicole was friendly and was great at helping us out for the evening. Food was good as always, however if you order the watermelon soda be prepared for the faintest watermelon flavour! Nicole remade it for us though, as I mentioned earlier, she's great.

The worst Browns Social Hall location. Everytime we go to this terrible place we either get the worst server or get served bad food. Today we got serverd the saltiest salt and pepper wings. It was so salty it’s almost inedible! The manager refused to give us a discount because we’ve already eaten some of the wings. Zero courtesy from the manager zero customer service whatsoever. Don’t come this place they are the WORST! Terrible!

First time at this establishment. Great atmosphere and amazing service from my server Kiersten. She is so upbeat and friendly, thank you for making me want to come back.

Consistent, if nothing else. Always reasonable quality, cold beer. Same as original joes basically when it comes down to it. If you want a nice patio, cold beer, and some food, this is a good choice. Their shaded outdoor patio is a good choice to enjoy the sun, but it is right in the middle of the parking lot next to Save on, and Tim Hortons so has some noise from the traffic. Never a bad choice.

We booked a party of 15 a week prior to our reservation. On the day of they cancelled it.that is correct, CANCELLED it! Manager of the restaurant told us that we weren't suppose to book that many people. Well you're the manager why don't you communicate it to your staff? That's one a responsibility of being a manager. It's a shame.

Service was good, food was pretty good, I still complain that the beer is never very cold.warm glasses or warm keg cooler I don't know but I've never had a crisp cold beer at any Brown's.

The only real issue is that just like Earls, the Keg, and others the value isn't there compared to better independent restaurants. It's becoming more expensive for smaller portions. I recognize this is an industry problem but these larger chain restaurants seem too have distanced themselves from the smaller independent restaurants.

I love the browns chain, hands down my go to restaurant. Food is always delicious and I love the decoration.

Great vibes. Just wasn't a big fan of the food. The chicken wings I got was very salty to the point that I had to shake off excess salt and still very salty. Their poutine though is amazing.

Tried ordering three different beers. Molson Canadian, Coors Original (Banquet) and Rickards Red. They don't carry them. They carry nothing name brand. The food was sub par at best. Ordered a Thai Lettuce Wrap. They should have a disclaimer that you have to assemble yourself and that they're just going to give you a quarter head of lettuce. Not a separated lettuce but an actual cut quarter head. One big chunk. This is the second time I've been to a Browns and I'm never going back. The first time, I was served an ice cold steak on Father's Day. Just my experience.

I came in from the coast to visit family. There are several Browns locations on the coast that I visit so when my son wanted to go here, I laughed but knew I'd like the menu. It's good food. I'm partial to the burgers and salads but the rice bowls are also good.
Very consistent food and I really liked the size of the patio at this location. It will be great during the summer.

Only ordered apps and they took forever.
The wings weren't fully cooked and my husband got sick.
Prices are way to much for the quality

First time here. Well lite room and good atmosphere, friendly management. We sat by the window and were greeted promptly by our server. She was very friendly and didn't rush us at all. The menu looked awesome, it was hard to choose. I'm still thinking of my husband's sandwich, The Florida Special. OMG so good, everything you want on a sandwich the bread was toasted perfectly. I had the fish and chips, fries were salty but yummy. Cocktails were tasty, we both really liked the Procecco Sangria. We'll be back for sure, thanks for a good evening.

One of the best eggs bennies in the city. Service is good, and great management! Love coming here

Very very slow service, good times are through the roof, maybe 1 table touch per 30 minutes meaning lots of empty drinks. Go to another location if you can avoid this one

Had an office Christmas party here recently and the only way to accommodate dozen of us was to offer us a table at the patio which however roomy, was freezing cold. Even though there were several patio heaters in there, management didn't want to turn them on. Food was great and server pleasant. Would definitely go back with a smaller crowd.

Brown's are almost infallible.anywhere! The bar is usually the place to be at any location Brown's. The geometric placement of the bar is tantamount to provoking interaction between patrons.that's the secret to Brown's success at inspiring real convo and enjoyment of hangin' at Brown's. Love it, live it, do it! Staff here are willing to engage in convo, concern and generally very pleasurable to visit with. 6 stars/5!

Good food and atmosphere. This is a regular spot for me and my husband and we've had a great time always!

Very safe location during covid, food is honestly always really good and the atmosphere is perfect. It is not too quite and not too loud that you can’t hear your guest or date.

The waitress in this location are great and they really work hard. Good always hot and well prepared. My only complaint was that my food came so close to my appetizer, I think good needs to be spaced properly and the experience would be better.

My boyfriend and I rarely get out and must say we picked the right place! Our server Sydney was on point! Gave great suggestions made great drinks and always made sure our waters were full! My boyfriend had the hollywood burger which was killer! I had the ceasar salad and was in love with the dressing.will definitely be going back soon!

Server was great! Could definitely tell she was overwhelmed with a full section and NO help from management or other staff. There was a hair stuck in the breading of my sandwich and we didn’t get checked on for 15 minutes after I found it and after I told her, management didn’t come over at all to apologize or clear it up with us. I watched her tell him and he clearly didn’t care. Dirty plates sat all over our table up until we left… come on, learn how to do your jobs properly! I’ve worked in the service industry for 8 years and I am so disappointed in this place. Do better, Browns!

Good place to eat, been here numerous times and always get the Florida special. Will continue to eat here in the future.

ALWAYS ask for Sydney! She's a huge sweetheart and an awesome server! Exactly what you hope for when you go out, whether it's for a celebration or just a meal out. Will absolutely be back soon!

The place was nice but it needs work. For example the service was really slow, the drinks need work and the food you could tell that they used dirty oil. When we tried to talk to the manager about it we new that he was lying my husband worked in the food industry and knows what to look for.

Great staff, great teamwork, great management. My favorite local pub. Food is good pub level, beer has a very nice range. Please don't go when I do, because I might not get a table!

Nice setting and good food selection. Oddly we found the drink menu to be somewhat limited. Initially I ordered a beer that I didn't particularly want because I didn't see the beer I wanted on the menu. Finally after reading the drink menu again and asking what "Just a beer" was I was able to discover they had the beer I wanted originally. Perhaps listing what beers are carried would make selecting a bit easier. Otherwise the food and atmosphere is very good.

Ordered a take out gf chicken bowl. There were may 2 oz of chicken in the dish, the rest was rice. Too pricey for what you get! Not ordering again

Pizza slightly burned, but still tasty. The server told us we would not be billed since it was not up to their standard. I have never had an experience at any of the thousands of restaurants I've eaten at where the restaurant admitted poor preparation and unilaterally discounted the meal. Great policy if applied consistently. Will return.

Came in for brunch, as advertised and listed on the menu. Ordered drinks. When they came back with drinks and to take our order, that’s when we were told there was no brunch today. We were told “it’s a slower holiday so we’re not doing brunch today. ” What the hell, Brown’s?

Live right by here, good food. Very similar to cactus club they may have taken a couple notes from there. Always a good time though would definitely recommend

Was at the St. Albert location tried ordering the Szechuan beef bowl without the snap peas and cilantro however was told I couldn’t do that because the cooks were too lazy to separate or make from scratch as the vegetables were pre mixed.

Great food, awesome service.

Food and drinks were good. Prices are fair. Happy hour selection was good. Server remembered us from previous visit and was friendly and provided good service.

Nice addition to the community, with friendly staff and delicious food. I get the dragon bowl that has tasty Chicken and a yogurt base. The Oreo cheesecake jars are divine

Food was not good even the kids did not eat their pasta, dishes looked dirty you could tell they put them in the dish washer but there was dirty water spots on all the glasses and old food on the sides of the plates I will not eat here again

Was there on April 1 (no, this is not an April Fool's joke - I wish) meeting some old friends. Were seated around 5: 45, and our server came to our table at 5: 54, when it was acknowledged that we were still eligible for Happy Hour specials (both drinks and food), since it was before 6pm. The server (young girl - I don't remember her name), took our drink orders, and didn't ask if we wanted to order any happy hour food specials before 6pm, so we assumed that when she came back with our drinks we would still be eligible. She came back at 6: 02 with our drinks, and just walked away without asking if we wanted to order food. When she came back several minutes later and asked for our food orders, I requested one of the happy hour specials. She told me it would be regular price, since it was past 6: 00. When I politely indicated to her that we were ready to order before 6: 00, she seemed not to care, and just insisted that there was nothing that she could do (not even talk to the manager). Needless to say, I was very disappointed with how rigid she was about the rules, and even more disappointed that she played a part in manipulating the timeline so that we were not eligible for the specials. This is actually the second time I've had issues with this location being unreasonable about happy hour times.

Service was extremely slow. Server was nice. Food was very slow to come out and not as good as other browns I have been to.

The atmosphere and decor was great, service was wonderful, and food came out quick and delicious! I was with a very large group and our server was fantastic. They also cater to people with celiac, the manager even washed their hands before bringing the food out to avoid cross contamination!

I fount it enjoyable but the tables were not the most comfortable. I think going out for a meal it's a 4, but if you just want beers or wine with the crew it's a 5 star!

Had it all planned out, go early for dinner, get kiddo home for bed. Only thing we didn't plan for was the terrible service. We left hungry, as the waitress forgot to ring in our order. It didn't make much sense to stay for another 1hr since we had already been there for an 1hr 20. It was nice of the manger to comp our watered down drinks and the app we luckily got. Very disappointed and it's a shame because it's local.

I have eaten in this Brown's sooooo many times I think I could order without the menu at all. The staff are super friendly, accommodating and attentive. Erika, the Manager is engaged in her business and really cares what the customers have to say. I have never had even a mediocre meal here including the times I have ordered take out. This will continue to be my #1 local restaurant. Many thanks.

I went in 20 mins before they closed (I know it’s kind of considered bad but I figured it was much more then five minutes? Still a decent time no? Anyways I asked if I still could get food, the woman working said I could only get something’s, I asked if I could get wings for wing Wednesday, she said no. I asked what I could get and she said the kitchen doesn’t have time to make much. I said I still had 18 minutes till they closed abd asked if I could get it to go then.she still said no. I said well When I served I had to take people’s order, no matter what they wanted if we had 5 minutes to close! Thanks anyways i guess and left. Was really disappointed because I figured going in with 20 mins was plenty of time to get some wings on a Wednesday. Instead the lady was just rude and basically refused to let me order food. Will not go back, and I’ll let my friends know Windermere is much better. Way better staff as well.

The blackened chicken fettuccine is sooooo good! The staff and service is always top notch! 10/10 will always go back

Not impressed. Ordered chicken strips and only got 3. Found a hair in my fries and the only thing they could do was get me more.

Manager was rude. Very grumpy with someone at the front actually. The tall manager. Won't be back here again with service like that.

Went for lunch with some business associates. Ordered a quesadilla and it was quite good. Others had pizzas, and salads. It all looked quite tasty. Was a quiet enough venue to have a meeting at and not be annoyed by pounding music. Food was good, staff were friendly and attentive. What more do you want? ! Will go back again for sure.
