My review before was my irritation and frustrations around my Brazilian waxes.

After my review was posted, the owner, wrote me a very professional email trying to rectify the situation and after I had called in to cancel an upcoming appointment she engaged with me again trying to rectify the situation in a professional manner.

I really appreciate a business that tries to keep their customers happy and cares about the experiences they have. That can’t be easy to do or address.

Overall, the studio/salon is always clean, the staff are super nice and quick at the waxing part, they have nice products and most importantly they have an owner who hears the customers out and goes out of their way to make sure they are satisfied with the services and feel appreciated.

The staff is so nice, the services are so quick and minimize pain, and all the products that have been recommended to me are so lovely and reasonably priced. I especially really appreciate that Buff is all-inclusive, it means so much to me that the size of my body isn't questioned and isn't an issue at all.

Megan did my service and she was amazing and made me feel comfortable for my first ever wax. I believe Hailey was the other lady working, she greeted me and she was super cheerful and made me feel not as nervous! I would highly recommend coming here for all your waxing needs!

I just got on the waxing bandwagon thanks to a friend. I let my wax technician know that it was my first time and she was awesome and spent extra time with me going through how it was going to work and the aftercare. We also just chatted which was nice. Definitely making this apart of my routine now.

I got waxed by Jamie and it was a wonderful experience! Honestly forgot I was even getting waxed part way, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease. She had great attention to detail, and was so pleasant to talk to. I'll definitely see her again!

I want to give 5-stars as a long time customer but staff quality is inconsistent. I always request to rebook "same services" at the counter and there are often mistakes with booking. Not all services are booked and the tech doesn't have time to do all services. Recommend that the services booked be listed on the booking confirmation email to avoid this issue. Otherwise, I love the location and size of the spa and the waxes they use are really nice.

I always have a good experience here and I enjoy coming here. The store is very clean and nicely-decorated, and everyone is really nice. The wax techs do a great job explaining what they will be doing. Their customer service is also very good. One of my appointments got cancelled by the store but I got a discount off my service when I re-booked it, and I also got a free product of my choice. I definitely plan to keep coming back here because the customer service and the quality of the waxes is fantastic!

I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed for years, and after a bad experience at my old salon, I was hesitant about seeing someone new. Needless to say, this place is awesome! My aesthetician was very gentle & made me feel comfortable during the entire process! She took her time to get every last eyebrow hair and gave me an amazing result! Highly recommend to everyone!

They canceled my appointment literally minutes before my schedule back to back wax appts. Not impressed. I had to take a have day off for this. A bit more notice would be appreciated.

Absolutely love BUFF WAX SPOT! Their services are quick, easy, painless (mostly), and you feel so fresh walking out their doors. Their shop is clean, the décor is cute, and they have great music playing. They also sell products made in house that are like nothing you will have ever used and will help keep your waxing feeling good until next time.

This is the best place to go for a wax in the city, I will not go anywhere else. I am at peace knowing that this place is extremely clean and they NEVER double dip the wax sticks.

I come here mostly for brazilians, and every time the wax tech makes sure I feel comfortable and relaxed. All the wax techs are extremely professional and friendly. They ensure that all the hair is removed and that the experience is quick and mostly painless. Booking, rescheduling, or cancelling an appointment is all very easy to do as well.

The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming, there’s always great music playing. They also sell their own hygiene products, I use the intimate salve and it really helps calm down the irritation and redness after a wax.

I have been going to the buff spot for a few years now, there service is always been excellent. It is hard for a man to get parts wax and they have always made it ok. Highly recommend.

Sadly my service was rushed and left my skin significantly more irritated than normal, there was also quite a bit of wax left on my skin. The ladies were very nice and it was a nice atmosphere.

Wax was rushed. My appointment was 11: 30 and I was done at 11: 40 (30 minutes is the time allotted for the appointment) lots of hair was missed and a lot of wax was left on my skin. Wax was not hot enough. This is my regular place but my last few waxes have not been good. Skin left irritated.

A very affordable price for the quality of the products and waxes used - I love that they use a combo of hard and soft wax as i've been to other salons that ask you to pick either or and charge more for hard wax. As it is post covid, I was shaving and knew that my first wax back was going to be a doozy. My wax tech was so great at being gentle on my sensitive bits, gave me breathing ques and put up with my hooting and hollaring. I felt at home and comfortable. They also have their own after care - pfb which is amazing for your girly bits and if your man shaves their neck, and a home-brand line that is all natural- SO AWESOME.

I have been a Buff Wax Spot regular since the Ellerslie location opened and started coming to the Skyview location to follow Nancy (and would spend TWO HOURS on the bus in the summer to specifically visit one of the locations). I was new to waxing at the time and fairly nervous; The service that I receive from not just one but all of the staff has been nothing short of exceptional, professional, and overall amazing. From the time you enter the door, to the moments in the waxing rooms, to the final transaction I am never disappointed with my experience. I have seen multiple wax technicians over time but most recently Savannah and Stephanie whom have provided me with 11/10 service from both a waxing perspective and the overall experience. Aside from the amazing prices, ff you want impeccable service in a safe, inclusive, fun, and professional environment I HIGHLY recommend taking the time to visit one of the locations, you will not be disappointed.

I love when I have an appointment at Buff Wax Spot, even though waxing isn't my favourite thing to do.
I've been getting my waxing done exclusively here ever since their Skyview location opened, and have since branched out to Ellerslie as well.
All the staff that I've come into contact with are welcoming and amazing at their jobs with strong quality and consistency among every waxer. I love their atmosphere and aesthetic and they are super diligent with their cleanliness.
Highly recommend going to either location. They're awesome.

Buff Wax Spot is the only wax spot I will continue to support. I have had very poor experiences in the past with other companies, and the results (and pain) were not worth the money I paid.

I've been going to Buff Wax Spot for close to 3 years now, and I don't have a single complaint. I've gotten many services done, and I have never had an issue. All the staff that I have been privileged to have, have been amazing. They are polite, professional, friendly and funny! I've been able to chat with them all in the middle of my services as if we were friends. The prices are very reasonable and the fact that you can book online is very helpful. This was my first time visiting Buff but not my first time getting a Brazilian wax. I had an amazing experience right from the time I walked in until I left. Sarah was my waxed (I don't know if that's the correct term or not) but she was really friendly and super professional at all times. She was very knowledgeable and was able to make me feel very at ease throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Buff Wax Spot Ellerslie and Sarah is the lady you need to see. Usually you are supposed to go in about every 4-6 weeks but I didn't need to book another session for over 8 weeks. I'm actually looking forward to my next session with her, which is weird when you think that waxing is an uncomfortable thing to do. All the staff at Buff made my experience way less painful.

Got a last minute lip wax here. Look. You're wasting your time and your money if you go anywhere else. This place took waxing from a whispered about thing at a nail salon to an actual pleasant, art form. Their wax SMELLS good. I have sensitive skin and am used to turning bright red afterwards for a day or two. This was 4pm yesterday. Now its 7am and I STILL DONT HAVE ANY REDNESS! I am SO impressed! I will never go anywhere else for a wax, ever again. This is my spot from now until I die. You guys.they do dudes, women, and every single other kind of human. This is a safe place for literally anyone to get waxed. Even a full body wax! That's a six hour job! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Prices are so reasonable and clearly posted. The salon is CLEAN. The products are amazing too! Did you KNOW there's a special after shave for "down there"? I didn't. GO HERE. DO NOT KEEP SCROLLING. YOU HAVE FOUND THE MECCA.

Love coming for waxes here. The prenatal wax is a bit overprices though. The pillow they provide is very uncomfortable, it would be much easier to just use a regular pillow. I like that they now have a point system for repeat customers as waxing is not cheap.

I've been going to Ellerslie Buff for a year or more now. I know the policy states your waxer can be switched out without notice, but for the first 4 or 5 months I had the same girl and then I guess she left. I now have had a different girl every time I go, which always makes my waxes seem inconsistent. Some ladies are definitely better than others, so you kind of have to cross your fingers when you go in that it will be quick, easy, comfortable and done right so it grows back right. I l do love that they use different types of wax for certain areas which is a huge help on the pain scale. Overall I really like the place and the ladies are all very friendly.

I appreciate the patience the girl that did my wax (i have no idea what her name is) had because i have no tolerance for pain and i was quite expressive about the pain however, she did a super rushed job. She applied the wax too fast, and ripped it off even faster to the point where I was sweating from the pain and it became difficult for the wax to stick. I could tell she was in a hurry to be done and while some people might appreciate the extremely fast service, people who don't get this done regularly might not. Overall it was a good experience and nicely priced too but i'm not sure i'll be coming back because i was super embarrassed by the way the other member of staff were looking, whispering and acting

1st time visit today. Friendly and welcoming staff upon arrival, clean pretty and comfortable waiting area, underarm waxing quick and almost painless. Ashley did a wonderful job. She was friendly and professional. Will definitely go back!

I came to buff for a Brazilian and had a great experience! The girl who did my wax was super nice and chatty which made the experience much nicer. She did a great job, not missing anything! She was also very fast which was impressive! Their prices are also really reasonable for such great service. I would definitely recommend!

Read up on a lot of great reviews about this place so I decided to try it out myself. For someone that's never gone through a waxing experience before and feeling nervous for not knowing what to expect, I'd have to say this was a great first time and set the bar high for me in terms of service, cleanliness and efficiency.

The moment I walked in the staff were so welcoming at the front desk, the place had quite a modern feel to it and it didn't take long from filling up the waiver forms to getting me settled in the room to the waxing experience itself (took exactly 30 mins!). The Wax tech made me feel welcomed and comfortable and answered every question I had asked. Would i recommend this place to someone looking for a place to get waxed? HECK YEAH! 10/10.

I have been a consistent and loyal customer for over a year and a half now. I booked my last appointment for a couple Saturdays previous, but realized the night before I had to change it due to a change in personal plans. My phone reminder was set to the wrong time, so I forgot to call in and cancel my wax. I received a no-show email, explaining that at my next appointment I had to pay the no-show fee of $30. I called immediately afterwards to see if there was any way I could have that fee abolished due to my loyalty and never having previously no-showed for a single appointment. The receptionist told me I would have to speak with the manager at my next appointment. So, I agreed and booked my wax for the following week.

When I arrived for my wax the following Friday, Gabrielle was my wax tech. She was extremely easy to talk to and made a personal connection with me. It has been extremely difficult for me to find a wax tech like that since my previous girl, Brittany, left the establishment. However, that wax itself was a disaster. My skin was not pulled taught, so it felt like my sensitive skin and been ripped to shreds, and repeated.and repeated.and repeated. Did I mention this was a buff bare brazilian? That skin is very thin and requires extreme delicate care. Gabrielle assured me the bruising would go away by the next morning, which it did not. That area continued to ache and bruise for the next 5 days. I am not one to complain about the pain of a wax, but I have never experienced that amount of discomfort for a wax I regularly get once every month or so.

When I headed back to the front, I asked to speak with a manager about my no-show fee. The receptionist told me that no manager was in and she did not have the power to refund me. I ended up having to pay the no-show fee at that time, plus the $55.00 for my wax, PLUS the tip for Gabrielle (I tip at least 15% even if I'm not satisfied, I know these girls have to make a living). My total amount spent was a almost $100.00 for an experience that was overall disheartening and horrendous.

Was a bit anxious about getting waxed as I previously had an awful experience at a different salon.
The staff greeted me with a smile and my service was awesome friendly and painfree. Ten out of ten recommend this to a expert waxer or beginner!

Buff is AMAZING! I know this sounds impossible, but this is the only place where a brazillian DOESNT HURT. The rooms are always immaculate, you can book online and you will be in and out in 25 minutes max. LOVE LOVE LOVE and refuse to go anywhere else.
