I have been going to bulgogi house for 30 years. We used to order and go into the restaurant monthly.
Yesterday during our dine in experience everything was fine, the food was good but I could not believe how small the portions were. We got a tiny bit of bean sprouts and kimchi, no white rice. The bibimbap was tiny and just enough for two people as a side. It used to feed 3-4 easily.
What a shame that a staple in Edmonton is clearly losing business because of their portion size. I really wish the owners would consider the fact that by adding a 1/2 cup more of food on the plate would lead to a lot of retention and loyal customer base they had for such a long time. Or just the fact that giving a side of white rice, kimchi and bean sprouts would be even a step in the right direction. I used to crave even their plain white rice which was included and now on top of prices going up you have to pay.
Would love to say I’m coming back here but I don’t know if I can justify the cost.
Very disappointing. Bulgogi had very small meat portions and was undercooked. Sweet and sour pork was simply fried pork topped with jarred sweet sour sauce.
Worst Korean restaurant in Edmonton and I’ve been to them all. Pork dish horrible, never been to a restaurant that can’t split bills. They only allow you to pay the bill with two cards max…to save on POS transaction fees, pork dish was bland, no spice to it at all
It's been 10 years since we have had the pleasure of eating here. Everything was amazing, the service is always wonderful and the food.well they serve the best in Edmonton. Thank you for never disappointing.
New owners for a few years, terrible food, not fresh and very, I mean very over priced. Could of went out for a fab steak dinner for half the price. New the old owner and food very fresh, tasty and well prepared. Do not recommend.very old, tasting food, dry, and came home and through up. Done with this place, to bad for old owners where great.
The food was ok. The waitress was nice, but then we were ask to pay all 12 person in one bill or maximum two bills. We had a reservation for all 12 and it would have been really appreciated to be told that in advance. We ended up being forced to pay 18% of tip and even more. The atmosphere changed in a negative way. I do not recommended. There are definitely better options.
Food was pretty good but the Manager didn't gave us the choice to split the bill for a 12 ppl table. Then he accepted after we had to speak with him. When we went to pay the bill, the cashier forced us to pay 18% tip. Never gave us a choice. Never coming back.
Great place although the lunch special with the beef rib has shrunk with little beef. I always get one of their lunch specials but the portions are now quite small and you leave kind of hungry and yet they charge a lot.
Awesome Korean food. The building is a bit rough but the food more than makes up for it. The flavours are very unique and it's easy to find something you'll like. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
