I think this restaurant has the most Korean styled food in Calgary and expresses the Korean tastes well.

Without a doubt, the food is satisfactory every time; however, the servers are quite unfriendly and make it an unpleasant experience.

We typically go here for their soft tofu soup, you can pick the level of spicy you’d like and it’s very hearty with a good amount of vegetables and meats. They have delicious sides and the rice they give you with it better than plain rice. Even when we’ve ordered take out, they’ve packed sides into it and it’s a good portion.

I had the worst service at busan. The lady working on Thursday (Nov 16 around 3pm) was very rude, did not fill the side dishes and we asked for more broth and got mad at us. The food portions were pretty small compared to han corra. The server was pretty young and did not look like she wanted to serve us at all. I would not ever come back to this location and would go to han corea instead.

It was my first time Korea restaurant. The food was great quality, all waitress was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend spicy tofu soup and Gamjatang.it's all tucked away in my neighborhood! Definitely coming back here.

Been waiting to try this spot out and it’s definitely worth it. It’s. A small spot in south west Calgary that has lots of parking and decent amount of seating.

The food was fantastic, fresh and hot! My seafood pancake was probably my favourite I’ve had in Calgary. They have lots of shareable options on the menu with a small selection of appetizers.

Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed everything I ate at Busan and would love to try it out again.

We just got home and we’re so disappointed eating in this place. We loved the food and we asked the waitress for the second round for the side dishes and one rice. The waitress gave us one cup of rice and take out box and a plastic bag. We are not yet done with our food we’re just starting enjoying it but what we’ve got from Dana (the waitress) is something very rude. We don’t know if she understand what we asked from her or she just want us to go home and eat our food at home. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary together and we are cravings for a Korean food that’s why we came in this place. We’re so disappointed and upset with her… you should have a good manner and treat your customers very well.

Went here yesterday and I fell in love with the food for the first time! It straight reminded me of Korea. It reminded me of what I would like to eat in Korea. Hands down the best Korean restaurant in all of Calgary. There soups and Korean seafood pancake was so delicious. It was crispy in the outside and succulent in the inside with the seafood. The two soups we had was 순대국밥 and 선지해장국. I don't know how to say it in English, but it was super delicious! I would come here every week to this place! The restaurant interior was also very inviting as it just reminds me of home and made me feel how much I miss Korea. The server was super nice and super cute as well! Anyways 5/5 best restaurant I have been to in Calgary so far! 진짜 너무 잘먹었습니다 다음에도 가겠습니다 너무 잘먹었습니다! 감사합니다!

Fantastic spot for my Korean food cravings. The sundae gukbap is amazing and the side dishes are great. Location and parking was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Do book a reservation on the weekends as it's quite popular!

Excellent food and taste.

The Gamjatang hotpot was very tasty in general. Highly recommended go for the spicy if you could. All time favourite. However if you don’t like the hustle of bone picking, then don’t.

Jokbal, which is the steamed pork trotters served with 3 dipping sauce. You suppose to eat it using the lettuce wrap l. But the lettuce portion is very minimally incomparable to the price and portion of the Jokbal.

Soondae, blood sausage which is different from western sausage. It’s not salty and you have to dip it with 3 dipping sauces. Even though it’s blood sausage, it doesn’t smell or taste any stickiness of the blood. So for firstimer, I recommend trying it. It’s very good! And it’s glass noodles inside makes it very chewy.

Service is okay. We were asked once how we were doing.

Washroom is clean.

Music is trendy as it’s all my favourite Kpop songs lol. Enjoy your meal!

The food is amazing, plus so many size dish. I would recommend Busan for large group (4+).

My favorite are the pancakes, #4, and #16.

Mediocre food, excellent side dishes but terrible (next to none) service.

Went with a group of 8 and they put us at two tables for more spacious seating. Soups generally priced at 16.99. We tried the Gamjatang (16.99), Soondubu Jiggae (16.99) and seafood pancake pajeon (18.99). Noted the gamjatang had a thick layer of oil on top and only two pieces of pork bone They did not skim the oil before serving. Soondubu jiggae (seafood soft tofu soup) was average and the taste was sort of bland. The seafood pancake was very crispy but the insides were wet and soft and it was impossible to cut into pieces without it falling apart. Possibly under cooked as I did have an upset stomach after the meal. Not even worth calling to tell them because I am not sure if they will even do anything. The variety of the side dishes is the only thing I can vouch for. Lots of different and tasty banchan. However, they never asked once if we wanted refill on any of the side dishes.

Not sure if there is not enough staff or what is issue. Everything from trying to put in our order, get water refills and takeaway containers - they never approached us for any needs. They fed us and then ignored us the rest of the evening. A few of us had to physically get up from our table and request for things we needed. When we paid, they automatically charged us tip 15% as a large group even though we were sitting at two tables and we served ourselves the whole time. I would give a zero % tip if I was not forced to - the server literally pushed the 15% button for us.

As a sister store of Han Korea, I recommend going back to Han Korea. The quality of the food at Busan is not comparable and the bad service just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

The taste was good but bad service! I went there just an hour ago; the bun hairstyle girl delivered us terrible service while the ponytail hairstyle girl was ok. I remember her face, so next time I come, I will ask not to serve by her! And the owner and HR manager of the restaurant need to train their employees very well, if not they will lose a lot of customers!

Normally I like this place. However, Pretty disappointed this time.
We just went there to have a take out Pork Soup dish. After we brought everything home and just realized the $17 dish even not hot … it’s a warm-cold soup. It’s only a 10 minutes drive and it’s Impossible the reason is the cold weather. And it also explained why we could get the meal in only 5 minutes right after our ordered, I guess.

It was my first time to visit Busan for Korean food. I wished I knew about this place sooner. Actually a Korean friend recommended this restaurant to me. I was lucky to try it before I go back to Toronto.

The Korean food was authentic and very yummy. There was a great selection of famous Korean dishes on their menu. Everything was served fresh and hot. Although it was quite pricey, but the food quality, portion and service was good.

It is a suitable restaurant for dinner gathering with family and friends. The couches/ sofa seats were very comfy. They were really busy during dinner time, so it is better to make a reservation in advance to avoid long waiting time and disappointment from walk in.

Please note that if you have a group of 6 people or more (including kids), they will charge you 15% gratuity but it was worth it because our overall dining experience was wonderful.

Btw, there is 1.5hrs free parking at the plaza where the restaurant is located. Just remember to scan the QR code on the sign there and register your license plate once you parked your car.
